Yo! First post, but I made a team that's been having quite a bit of success in ORAS OU, and I thought maybe I'd explain what my thought processes were in making it and get some feedback. I think it has great synergy. A bunch of this stuff is straight from standard smogon sets (maybe all of it actually), but I didn't really want to focus on making creative sets this time. I wanted the focus to be the effectiveness of the team and team building in general. Any criticism is appreciated!

Little Foot (Venusaur) (M) @ Venusaurite
Ability: Chlorophyll
EVs: 252 HP / 240 Def / 16 Spe
Bold Nature
- Giga Drain
- Sludge Bomb
- Synthesis
- Hidden Power [Fire]
List of reasons why Little Foot is my bae:
Cytomander (Skarmory) (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Sturdy
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Impish Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Roost
- Whirlwind
- Defog
I usually lead with the skarm for rocks unless I need to save him to wall a certain pokemon or something. Pretty standard, nothing much to say. He's probably the weakest on the team, performance-wise.
EZ Bake (Rotom-Heat) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
- Overheat
- Volt Switch
- Hidden Power [Ice]
- Trick
EZ Bake is here (in theory) to sponge up fire and electric type moves that get thrown at skarmory, but it can't take too many hits. Typing-wise, it's great for the team, and I've been using it more offensively anyway, so I don't feel too bad about the spread.
Trick is only there for if I really need it. I don't use it too much because I like having the extra speed. HP Ice is necessary because it's my only ice move, and I can outspeed any non-scarf garchomp or mega mence and usually one-shot them.
Big Bad Borg (Heracross) (M) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Moxie
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Close Combat
- Megahorn
- Earthquake
- Rock Slide
I know this is just a standard hera, but it's awesome for late game sweeps. I use it to scare out megazard Y and anything else weak to rock, and it works great. Pretty simple. It also cleans house with close combats after a moxie boost.
Ramona (Gothitelle) (F) @ Choice Specs
Ability: Shadow Tag
EVs: 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
- Psyshock
- Thunderbolt
- Hidden Power [Ground]
- Trick
One thing I realized after playing with this team for a few games was that I was having a tough time with heatrans, because the only thing I could do to them was Close Combat with Heracross, and that was hard to switch in and super obvious. So I replaced whatever move I had before on Ramona (I think it was dazzling gleam?) with HP Ground, and now, she is the heatran killer. She traps and kills heatrans for a living. Another fun thing she does of there aren't any heatrans around is to trick choice specs onto walls like chansey. She's pretty versatile, and I usually use her pretty early on to quickly get rid of whatever I want dead.
Bagheera (Umbreon) (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Synchronize
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpD
Calm Nature
- Foul Play
- Moonlight
- Toxic
- Heal Bell
Bagheera is the bulkiest. I love him. I've got kind of a psychic weakness in venusaur and heracross, so Umbreon is here to fix that. Plus, he eats every special move and doesn't care. Plus, he catches wil-o-wisps or toxics and syncs them, then he heal bells. I usually use him for Latios and Latias, because they're completely helpless against him and they go down after 2 foul plays. Plus, foul play is great if there's a dragon dancing thing on the field. Because of the bulk, Bagheera can take pretty much any hit from anything (even at plus 1 Atk or SpA) if he's at full health. He's a little weak to close combats, but that's what venusaur is for.
Gallade and Mega Gallade are pretty serious problems. Usually venusaur is my wall for fighting types, but he gets wrecked by psycho cut. Even if I have skarm around, all I can do is whirlwind it out and have someone else deal with it later. Usually my best bet is rotom with overheat, but that's a little unreliable. Backup plan is Heracross with megahorn or trying to get one psyshock in with gothitelle and hoping it doesn't pack night slash.
(see above)
If gothitelle dies without killing heatran, i'm not in a good position. unless my opponent has nothing that wants to take a close combat on a switch, which is hardly ever the case.
I'm sure I'm missing a few threats, but these are the ones that come to mind.

List of reasons why Little Foot is my bae:
- He walls and kills Ferros (and blocks any other leech seeders).
- He eats Toxic for breakfast.
- He walls and kills Azumarills (and looks damn good doing it).
- He eats Knockoff for breakfast.
- He has enough power and lastability to take on Gliscors with giga drains.
- He is the bulk you need. Whenever you need it.
