Welcome to the 2025 edition of UM Swiss, a Type A tournament in the UMs Circuit. Players will have the opportunity to play up to three times, with three losses removing a player from the tournament. Each week, a random UM (from this year's circuit that wasn't already selected. until all are selected) will be selected as the first game of a Best-of-3 set. The loser of each game picks the next tier.
Tournament-Specific Rules
Swiss means that everyone plays someone of the same record (0-0, 2-1, 7-2, etc) when possible. Three losses eliminates you from the tournament. After a number of rounds indicated by the signups (to aim for a 16-player Top Cut), the remaining players will be put into a single-elimination Top Cut to determine the winner.
Each match is Best of 3, with the first game's metagame being randomly selected from this year's UM Circuit tiers. The loser of the first game picks the metagame for the second game. If a third game is needed, the loser of the second game picks the metagame for the third game. SV ZU, SV NFE, SV 1v1 Bo5, SV Ubers UU, SV Anything Goes are the accepted tiers for this tournament.
Reminder that all 1v1 sets are bo5. All replays are mandatory.
The hosts are a fairy, bellchime, and bern.
Your starting tier in Round 6 is NFE. Tiers may not be repeated within a set. Starting tiers will be removed from the selection process until all tiers are selected.

Two matches had to be modified due to being repeats of earlier rounds. This was done with the help of an uninvolved tournament director (UT) determining the nature of how to modify the matchup without bias.
The Round 4 deadline is Sunday, October 19th at 11:59PM GMT. Extensions cannot be provided. A reminder that 3 losses is an elimination.

- Matches are to be played on Pokemon Showdown!, preferably on the smogtours server.
- General tournament rules and clauses apply.
- Smogon-Wide Clauses still apply.
- Please save your replays. It is recommended to play on the Smogon Tournaments server due to its ability to automatically save replays.
