ORAS OU Unaware CM Clef Bulky Offense

clefable.gif

Clefable @ Leftovers
Ability: Unaware
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 SpD
Bold Nature
- Calm Mind
- Moonblast
- Moonlight
- Flamethrower

Clefable was the mon that I really wanted to build around, since it is extremely strong in the current meta game, and I really wanted to make a more serious team for once. I chose to run Unaware over Magic Guard because after testing the team a little bit, SubCM Keldeo, Zard X, CroCune, and DD Dragonite were pretty problematic for the team, so I switched it over to unaware to take on those threats. The 248 HP is to take the least amount of residual damage, and I put the rest in bulk. I chose Flamethrower over something like Heal Bell because I really just wanted to be able to set up with Clef as early as possible and win the game. This is usually my main win condition to win most games.

talonflame.gif

Talonflame @ Choice Band
Ability: Gale Wings
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Brave Bird
- Flare Blitz
- U-turn
- Sleep Talk

I chose to run Banded Talonflame along side my Clef because it checks, and OHKOs a lot of things that threaten Clef, like Unboosted Bisharp, Excadrill, Hoopa, Metagross, Scizor, Mega-Venusaur, Jirachi, and Magnezone. It is also another win condition alongside Clef. I chose Jolly over Adamant because most people run Adamant on their Talonflames, and Talonflame is a problem for my team. Running Jolly, I can outspeed and do a huge chunk of damage to opposing Talonflames with BB. The reason I used Sleep Talk over Tailwind or Roost is because I have nothing else that really wants to go to sleep, and Lead Breloom did work to a lot of my team. The rest is standard because it works.

slowbro-mega.gif

Slowbro @ Slowbronite
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 252 HP / 36 Def / 136 SpA / 80 SpD / 4 Spe
Modest Nature
- Slack Off
- Scald
- Psychic
- Ice Beam

I am running this MegaBro set because I wanted something that could take hits from Talonflame and other physical attacks, while still dishing out a ton of damage. 252 HP and 36 Def allow me to survive 2 +1 Dragon Claws from Zard X. The 80 SpD EVs allow me to take two Hydro Pumps from Specs Keldeo, and retaliate with a Psychic to OHKO. The 4 speed allows me to outspeed uninvested base 30s, mainly Amoonguss. The rest was dumped into SpA so I can hit things with decent force. I chose Slack off for reliable recovery, allowing me to beat somethings that I would not be able to beat without it. Scald because it's the most spammable move in the game (IMO) and Psychic for the dual stab, and it also OHKOs specs Keldeo. Ice Beam is to hit things like Garchomp, Lati@s, Dragonite, and Mega-Altaria. Slowbro is a secondary win condition to Clef, and Talonflame. Once all of the things that can beat it are gone, it comes in a wins with Scald pretty much.

Conkeldurr @ Assault Vest
Ability: Guts
EVs: 252 Atk / 236 SpD / 20 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Drain Punch
- Mach Punch
- Knock Off
- Stone Edge

My team was looking weak to some threats to Clef, like Bisharp, Kyurem-B, Jirachi, and Magnezone, so I decided that Conk would be a good addition to the team, because it can beat those Pokemon 1v1 most of the time. Assault vest was also used to beat special attacks, which my team was having trouble with. Guts is used to absorb status. Switching into T-Waves make conk incredibly strong, and it becomes and extremely stone wallbreaker. I used the standard EV spread because it works, and I was too lazy to think of anything cool. Drain Punch is mandatory for recovery, and is also a strong STAB attack. Mach Punch is to finish things off without taking another hit. Knock Off is used on predicted switches, and OHKOs Gengar. Stone Edge was to hit Talonflame on the switch, murdering that pesky bird. I mainly use Conk as a pivot, hitting things on switches, and tanking special attacks.

garchomp.gif

Garchomp @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Rough Skin
EVs: 252 HP / 164 Def / 76 SpD / 16 Spe
Impish Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Earthquake
- Dragon Tail
- Toxic

I originally had Landorus-Therian in this spot, but +1 Bisharp destroyed my team, so I had to switch it the Tankchomp, and it turns out to be a better check to most of the things that was giving Clef problems anyways. The EV spread is to take 2 Sucker Punches from +2 Bisharp, and survive, while having enough special bulk to take hits from special attackers like Zard Y, Keldeo, Gengar and Mega-Diancie. I also outspeed Jolly TTar. Stealth Rocks was pretty mandatory because Talonflame. Earthquake for STAB to hit things like Scizor, TTar, Heatran, Excadrill, and mainly Bisharp. Dragon Tail is kinda just there to get rid of things that get out of control, and Toxic is to cripple things that come in on the switch like Togekiss or something. This thing checks a lot of things that are problematic to Clef and Talonflame, like Talonflame, Excadrill, Heatran, Metagross, and Scizor, doing a lot of damage with Rough Skin + Rocky Helmet.

latias.gif

Latias @ Life Orb
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 72 HP / 184 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Draco Meteor
- Psyshock
- Defog
- Healing Wish

Because I was running Talonflame and my team was pretty weak to Spikes, I needed something to get rid of hazards. Latias is my go-to defogger. I run the standard set because it works, and it is strong enough to dent things that are annoying to fight, with Draco Meteor. I'm running Draco and Psychock for dual STAB, Defog for Hazards, and Healing Wish to give a Pokemon a second chance if I used it horribly lol.

Threatlist:

Mega-Gardevoir

This thing hits everything on my team super hard, and I don't have anything that resists it's dual stab.

Azumaril
Banded Azu kinda just clicks Play Rough and wins.

Importable:
Clefable @ Leftovers
Ability: Unaware
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 SpD
Bold Nature
- Calm Mind
- Moonblast
- Moonlight
- Flamethrower

Talonflame @ Choice Band
Ability: Gale Wings
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Brave Bird
- Flare Blitz
- U-turn
- Sleep Talk

Slowbro @ Slowbronite
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 252 HP / 36 Def / 136 SpA / 80 SpD / 4 Spe
Modest Nature
- Slack Off
- Scald
- Psychic
- Ice Beam

Conkeldurr @ Assault Vest
Ability: Guts
EVs: 252 Atk / 236 SpD / 20 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Drain Punch
- Mach Punch
- Knock Off
- Stone Edge

Garchomp @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Rough Skin
EVs: 252 HP / 164 Def / 76 SpD / 16 Spe
Impish Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Earthquake
- Dragon Tail
- Toxic

Latias @ Life Orb
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP / 36 Def / 136 SpA / 80 SpD / 4 Spe
Timid Nature
- Draco Meteor
- Psyshock
- Defog
- Healing Wish

As you mentioned you have problems with Fairies like Mega-Gardevoir, Azumaril, and Clefable to an extent. One thing you could try would be running a bulky Mega-Scizor over Slowbro. Scizor deals with most fairies really well, as well as having a similar role to Slowbro, bulky attacker.
Bulky Scizor Set:
Scizor @ Scizorite
Ability: Light Metal
EVs: 248 HP / 44 Atk / 16 Def / 200 SpD
Impish Nature
- Swords Dance
- Roost
- Bullet Punch
- Knock Off
(This set is from the Smogon Dex)
The Ev spread allows you to avoid the 2HKO from Adamant Lando-T, and not OHKO'd by Clef's Fire Blast.

If you do run Scizor over Slowbro, you still have a Talonflame problem, which is easily fixed by running Rock Slide over Toxic on Garchomp. I would also put Ice Punch on Conk, just so you still have Ice coverage.
Good luck with the team!

Deals with a lot of setup sweepers like Manaphy, Magic Guard Clef, Scizor, Mega Zard X, Talonflame, and a ton more, allowing it to set up on these mons and sweep

Unaware Clef is definitely not a Sciz/Char X/ Talonflame counter. In general if you want Clef to work as a CM wincon you probably want Magic Guard for the ability to handle annoying status which really pressures Unaware Clef.

from my understanding that's not how unaware works, isn't it? Doesn't unaware work for both sides...

Hey there nice team, the Slowbro+Clefable core is pretty nice as it covers many threats in ou, although running a double CM core would work better pressuring more balance. Unlucky, your team seems to have some problem againist the likes of Thundurus and volturn core such Lando+Mega Manectric.

To make the weakness to Thundurus less big, I suggest you to run CM Magic Guard Clefable, with an EVs spread of 252 HP / 172 Def / 84 SpD with a Calm Nature. This change will allow you to take 2 Thunderbolts from Thundurus, while still having a decent amount of physical bulk. Now that you changed the ability to Magic Guard you can run Softboiled over Moonlight, as now it's compatible with the ability. Also Unaware wasn't really needed to check the pokémons you mentioned, since Keldeo is countered by Slowbro and Latias, Charizard 2HKOed you on the switch, and with this set you can still take on Dragonite in a nice way, unless he's running a Steel Movem which is kinda rare.

On
Talonflame I suggest you to run an SD Sky Plate set instead of the set you have now. Talo is one of your revenge killer and he needs to have more longevity, and since stealth rock user such as TTar can trap your Latias preventing it to remove the rocks in a second moment, you will appreciate the longevity more. Also being able to switch moves between Brave Bird and Flare Blitz will help you in midgame situations, when you can't rely on predictions.

Like I told you in the first paragraph
Calm Mind Slowbro will allow you to pressure more balanced teams. Calm Mind can easily go over Ice Beam, and you should change Psychic for Psyshock, as it allows you to hit special walls like Chansey. Also changing the EVs spread to 252 HP / 80 Def / 176 SpD with a Bold Nature will allow you to have a more safe setup thanks to the added bulk. The added evs in def will allow you to survive a Diggersby Return after rocks, as it looks like a huge threat to your team.

Conkeldurr doesn't look like the best option for your team in my opinion, I suggest you to run Klefki over him. Your team can already handle things like Bisharp which threaten clefable+slowbro core, and it will also help you againist Mega Gardevoir, while also spreading paras with Thunder Wave and it will setup Spikes to put more pressure on your opponent team.

On
Garchomp I suggest you to run Fire Blast over Toxic, you have many way to play around Chomp's check, so you don't really need to toxic them. Fire Blast will allow you to do something to Magnet Rise Klefki, and it will give you an additional Scizor check.

On
Latias I suggest you to change the EVs spread to 72 HP / 184 SpA / 252 Spe with a Timid Nature in order to do a fast Defog, and tie with other 110 base mons like Gengar, Diancie and Metagross. Roost over Healing Wish is another change you might appreciate, with Talonflame you need to keep the rocks away from the field many times, so having more longevity will help you.

This is all I have, I hope my rate was useful for you :) Hit me up if you need any help!

Wow I'm bad, I didn't even notice that Latias' ev's were that, those were the ones I was using for Slowbro xD but yeah, I can see where you're coming from with the changing of the sets and they all make sense to me. Thanks for the rate :)
