This is by far the weirdest thing I have put together this generation. It looks like the hellspawn of SM and ORAS UU, and I'm afraid of what I've created. Moving on, this utilizes, or tries to anyways, OTR Reuniclus. I paired it with Nihilego, as it is basically guaranteed Knock Off on Aegislash and Chansey, as well as it providing Rocks and a check to stuff like Moltres, Salamence, etc. Next, I added Gastrodon because it checks Glowbro, discourages Prim clicking Pump, and is overall a great pivot. It's solid special bulk and ability to beat Raikou also enabled me to use Physdef Tangrowth, which is the next teammate. Tangrowth sits on 99% of physical attackers, such as Lycanroc-Dusk, SD Knock Scizor, Krookodile, Zarude, or Mienshao, as well as function as a Knock Absorber and a general Ground resist. Moltres is the main Scizor answer, as well as help dishes out damage and chips the opponent's bulky pokemon for Reuniclus. Finally, the keys have returned. Klefki gives us an out vs Goltres, gives us a Defogger, and helps keep Scizor from setting up in my face. It also helps deal with Aegislash and Mew somewhat.

Congrats Aqua Ring for winning the week!

Week 22: Regieleki
:ss/regieleki:

Drops are in, and this week I'd like to have a look at a fat unmon certainly interesting one in Regieleki. While it used to be a good screens setter when we had it last time, with the Light Clay ban this niche's become a lot thinner, but it's not like it has no other options to explore. I'd love to see what you guys can come up with.
I'll extremely likely cover the other two in upcoming weeks but if you feel like putting them all in feel free!

Deadline will be in a week, giving it a bit more time so we can re-match the schedule and so people have time to try stuff out if needed

Hello!
With the new shifts bringing back both rain and eleki, I decided to make an eleki rain. Somehow this contraption of a team came to be and it's been pretty fun to use. Eleki here is running a mixed Facade set to get the most out of its rain turns, while not getting instantly shut down by most of the ground types of the tier (besides Rhyperior). Shiinotic is a weird pick here, but I wanted to try it out in rain and it does complements the team decently through Spore support and being able to provide crucial resistances from some weather abusers (notably Keldeo, weather ball Thundy twins) and other offensive threats like cb Zydog and Zarude too. The next member is a resttalk Moltres-g to not only be able to benefit from 100% accurate hurricanes, but also provides the team with a Spore switchin and an Aegislash check since most rain builds tend to lack proper aegis switchins. Pelipper is rather self-explanatory for rain builds. The fifth member is the primary rain abuser for the team being Omastar in that I feel like it's one of the more threatening rain abusers that can be used in the tier just being an absolute nuke having both rain-boosted Hydro Pumps and a powerful Meteor Beam, topped off with Shell Smash for the icing on the cake. Steelix is the mandatory electric immunity for the team meant to set up rocks, help cripple things with Toxic, and just provides good synergy with the team in covering crucial resistances that the team still needed such as a fairy resist and Hurricane spam switchin for example. In testing it out, the team performed decently, though there were some matchups that definitely required outplaying as something to keep in mind.

Electric Terrain HO (pokepast.es)

Built this shit in about 10 minutes and tested it for a game, worked fairly well. Regieleki is something that just isn't worth running, its basically a liability if grounds are on the opposite team and its better to just run one of the many, MANY better electric-types we have. However, regieleki can go ham on a worn down team, which is what this team aims to help it do. Krook is the entry hazard setter and helps wear down specially defensive Pokemon like chansey, pincurchin sets the terrain and provides spikes support, and raichu alola acts as another abuser on electric terrain. Both glowbro and necrozma are setup sweepers that aim to wear down Grass and ground types for regieleki to clean at the end. Regieleki itself uses a LO set to clean up as well as fire off an explosion in the end to gain momentum into glowbro or necrozma. Team is ok, really matchup fishy and more often than not regieleki is useless but it can clean if the opposing team is weakened enough. Down below is a replay showing that

haha eleki go boom

Eleki is so annoying, I hate building with it, I hate playing against it and I hate just its existance. But hey at least it can boom and that is funny, I just decided to go with it and speed build something with boom eleki, as we all know this bastard is helpless against ground types but with the combination of Screech and a Normal Gem boosted Explosion we can dispatch nidoking, mamo and krookodile (this last one is the important one). Since now I had a way to dispatch of krookodile i decided to add two wincons that heavily benefit from krook dying, CM Galarbro and Flame Charge Chandelure. Zarude and Primarina are just good, they have some good synergy as they provide defensive answers to Keldeo, Mence, Aegi, Krook, Rhyperior and others as relying solely on eleki to beat grounds is so bad, thankfully I can permit myself to run HBD Zarude as Regieleki is just so goddamn fast (this thing outruns Azelf in Webs 0_0) Finally I added Kommo-o cus I nedded a SR setter that can beat Zarude and this was like the only option.
Tbh this is a fairly basic team structure but with funny boom eleki on top, it is incredibly Nihilego weak but it somewhat works

Congrats Totomon for winning this week! I'll update the op w/ what i'm late on whenever I find the time

Week 23: Pelipper
:ss/pelipper:
Let's move on to the viable drops we got! Pelipper brings a ton of valuable assets for rain, by being noticeably less of a dead weight than politoed thanks to a ton of utility moves, from the mandatory Roost for longevity, Uturn for pivoting and bringing rain breakers safely in ; to more niche but potentially useful ones in Defog, Knock Off and even good coverage options with Hurricane. Its presence alone has made rain a lot more interesting to play with and while its niche outside of it seems limited, options like self-setting specs wallbreaker are explorable! I'm expecting a ton of rain which won't allow for a ton of variety, but I hope you will have fun regardless!

You have until Saturday

https://pokepast.es/2b6533466c6fffa2

This team allows you to set up rain and proceed to hazard stack with seismitoad and ferroseed so that your offensive behemoths in the rain barraskewda, keldeo, thundurus-t, and seismitoad can wreck havoc and continue to pressure shared checks to the point of stuff such as amoonguss, and rotom-wash no longer being able to check the team. Thundurus-t can even spread para to pressure everything. Seismitoad and barra ar ethe swift swim users of the team to make sure nothing is outspeeding the team and they are able to revenge kill a lot of things especially barraskewda

ShitFuck Rain (pokepast.es)
Built this rain day 1 of the July meta and used it for a bit, ok rain but nothing too crazy. Pelipper is the de facto setter with hazard support and rain abilities, EVs outspeed conk because ladder is in love with that mon. Barra is generic rain abuser, nothing too crazy. Toad is another rain abuser and gives nice role compression as a rain abuser and stealth rock setter. Mantine is a cool abuser I've liked to threaten Pokemon like keldeo and the grasses since its typing and bulk lets it pivot into it often. Thundurus is a secondary keldeo answer and helps the team wallbreak easier. Aegi is the classic spdef set and provides the team with good defensive utility as well as stalling out opposing rain. Works nice, give it a shot @ whoever is reading this half assed paragraph.

Thanks vor the votes and congrats monky for winning! This week's topic shouldnt be much of a surprise

Week 24: Nidoking
:ss/nidoking:

Last of the drops we got and surely the better on its own (Pelipper being a playstyle enabler more than an actual good mon), Nidoking carves itself a niche as a very powerful breaker, capable of 2hkoing almost the entire tier. While there shouldnt be a ton of playstyles to play around with it, there's room for exploration with the 4th move choice and teammates, even potential lures to get rid of its hardest checks.
You have until Saturday!

The thing is, I recently joined uu, and a :Nidoking: team is the first and the only team I've made yet:v4:

https://pokepast.es/458871873dc0bce7
Explanation -
The team focuses on exploiting :Nidoking:'s wallbreaking capabilities, smacking low-key everything not :Chansey:. :Mienshao: and :Zarude: form a nice U-turn core, they can force switches , turn on them, and bring in king for some destruction. A few examples would be u turning on :Amoonguss:, :Tangrowth:, :Salamence:, :Kommo-o: etc. :Rotom-Wash:, :Jirachi: and :Salamence: form my defensive core, giving me defog, rocks, checks to several top metagame threats like :Keldeo:, :Zarude:, :Nihilego:, etc, and bar mence they can pivot as well. :Jirachi: can pivot on lured steels/Bulky waters for King/Monke to exploit, and wash lures grasses, volts, and brings king in. There's many more examples of their synergy, but you get the point, Nido hopefully becomes king here :)
The items/moves/spreads are common enough so I don't have to explain them I think.
Note - :Salamence: could also run max spatk instead of hp, your choice.

This team was turned from trash to goated with the help of the wonderful people from the uu discord, so s/o to them for being so awesome!!
Have a good day everyone:blobwizard:

This team utilizes Nidoking to help break stuff for Thundurus to clean up at the end. Originally, Nidoking was Focus Punch in order to dent Chansey coming in, but I couldn't fit Stealth Rocks in anywhere conveniently so it ended up being rocks. Thundurus does Thundurus things, acts as Keldeo control, wincon, ground immune, etc.. Azumarill functions as another breaker, provides Knock Off support, as well as it's own speed control through Aqua Jet. Salamence functions as another Keldeo answer, helps a little bit with Rain, hazard control, and Intimidate support is always nice. Aegislash is just really good glue, does Aegislash things, and helps break down the opposing team with Toxic. Finally, Zarude functions as Speed Control, while also retaining the ability to not get 6-0d by Aegislash.
