Unexpected (4th Gen RMT)

Here we go this team is really unexpected and most teams don't know what to do.

Alakazam @ Focus Sash
Nature: Modest
Ability: Syncronize
EVs 252 special attack/ 4 special defense/ 252 speed

-Psychic
-Shadow Ball
-Energy Ball
-Counter

A really good lead actually alakazam packs power and speed. Psychic is powerful stab. Shadow Ball is for coverage with Psychic. Energy is for the likes of swampert that just annoy me. And counter is for all the physical sweepers that think they can just KO me and just continue sweeping haha...not anymore.

Donphan @ Leftovers
Nature: Careful
Ability: Sturdy
EV spread: 252 attack/ 120 defense/ 136 special defense

-Earthquake
-Ice Shard
-Rapid Spin
-Stealth Rock

Earthquake is for stab and much needed power. Ice Shard is for priority and coverage. Rapid Spin clears entry hazards, and Stealth Rock is to ruin other teams with some additional damage.

Poliwrath @ Leftovers
Nature: Adamant
Ability: Water Absorb
EV spread 120 Hp/ 252 attack/ 136 speed

-Waterfall
-Bulk Up
-Ice Punch
-Brick Break

I chose poliwrath for its typing and its ability. Waterfall hurts anything that doesnt resist it and the power is boosted with Bulk Up. Ice Punch is for the grass and flying types that want to KO poliwrath. Brick Break is for stab and to break screens such as reflect.

Lucario @ Life Orb
Nature: Timid
Ability: Steadfast
EV spread 252 special attack/ 4 special defense /252 speed

-Aura Sphere
-Dark Pulse
-Dragon Pulse
-Extremespeed

Aura Sphere is for a powerful stab. Dark Pulse has good coverage with Aura Sphere. Dragon Pulse is for dragons such as dragonite that cant really be damaged with the other moves, and Extremespeed is to pick off weakened pokemon.

Raikou @ Leftovers
Nature: Modest
Ability: Pressure
EV spread 4 Hp/ 252 special attack/ 252 speed

-Discharge
-Shadow Ball
-Calm Mind
-Signal Beam

I chose Discharge over thunderbolt for the higher chance of paralysis. Shadow Ball is for psychics and ghost types. Calm Mind is to boost its high special attack and special defense to higher levels. Signal Beam rounds out the coverage.

Staraptor @ Life Orb
Nature: Jolly
Ability: Intimidate
EV spread 252 attack/ 4 defense/ 252 speed

-Brave Bird
-Close Combat
-Roost
-U-turn

Brave Bird destroys teams if they have no resistance and its high base 120 power with stab says it all. Close Combat is mainly for the steel and rock types that KO other flying/normal types....not anymore. Roost is too recover Life Orb damage and too attack again. U-turn is to scout and leave while the opponent gets an intimidate.

Here's my team comment please and leave suggestions thank you.

Kudos on the Alakazam lead, I love it and all that. However, it's important to have a lead with Taunt for situations where you can't score an OHKO, especially since Energy Ball is rather pointless on Alakazam. Shadow Ball is better replaced by Focus Blast, since it gives you much better coverage. Also, I think you're better off using LO than Focus Sash, since a lot of common leads use Fake Out, and you could do with the extra power, in which case you can keep Shadow Ball for the ability to crush Rotom-A.

I don't like the use of Donphan in any tier, and especially not OU. Mamoswine uses essentially the same moves bar access to Rapid Spin, which you can just tack on somewhere else.

All I have to say about Poliwrath is that it's easily crushed due to its low speed and mediocre defenses. You aren't going to survive much with this thing, and it's too slow to get an attack in in most places.

Run Hasty on Lucario so you don't lose attack, you'll want that extra power for Extremespeed. Dragon Pulse is completely useless, as Dragonite will survive and OHKO back, not to mention Flygon, who'll just kill you outright without taking a hit. Replace it with a physical attack so you have mixed attacking abilities to break stall.

As far as I'm concerned, Raikou is an inferior Jolteon. You will be killed by Earthquake. Change it.

I can't say much about this team, there doesn't seem to be any synergy at all. You've just chosen six standalone Pokemon and not made a real effort to build a team. So many UU Pokemon is really inadvisable in OU, there's a reason they're UU.

Honestly, a pretty poor team.
Why are you running energy ball on Alakazam though? It seems like it's only a way to stop swampert, which is unnessicary.

Swap Energy ball with taunt to take advantage of that speed.
Signal beam gets more coverage in the lead position then Shadow ball does, I'd swap that out too.

Donphan is pretty weak imo. It has good defenses and attack, but it can't do much against anything that it's not SE against.

Poliwrath is... Well...
Not a good option at all.
If you want a good fighting type, I'd run Machamp. It has a great ability in no guard, and
A much higher attack stat.
It can also run bulk up.

On lucario, run shadow ball over dark pulse. Fighting and ghost have perfect coverage. And if you want to do any damage with extremespeed, don't run a timid nature.

Raikou is completely outclassed by Jolteon.

Staraptor requires a huge amount of team support, seeing as it takes 25% from stealth rock. However, there is no support whatsoever.

Like the above poster said, your team has no synergy at all. You need to cover weaknesses, and running all those NU/UU Pokemon is basically suicide in this metagame. There's a reason why Poliwrath is NU. It's because it's a pretty bad Pokemon to use.
