Hello everyone, I've finally churned out another RMT, this time with one of my most successful Ubers teams.
Would appreciate if you guys could voice your opinions, but without further ado, let us begin!
This is Unforgiven, a balanced team that aims to get rid of threats one by one. This team does not tolerate any mistakes made by both the player and the opponent, hence the name.
Btw, here how I fared after laddering a bit on my alt.
So let's take a look at the team!
Primal Herdier (Landorus-T) @ Leftovers
Trait: Intimidate
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 Spd
Impish Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Earthquake
- Stone Edge
- Toxic
Lando is my Hazard Setter, helping me deal with pesky threats like Ho-oh, yveltal, and breaking potential sashes on mons like darkrai and breloom. The nice thing about Lando is that it manages to check unboosted arceus and Zekrom, while still being able to win against Groudon and Dialga 1v1.
8 speed EVs are ran to speed creep Ho-oh, as most of them like to run 8 speed. Thankfully Lando has 1 base speed more than Ho-oh :P
Earthquake is there for that nice and powerful STAB, while stone edge hits yveltal hard and OHKOs bulky offensive Ho-oh. Even if it misses, Lando can still get a potential toxic off on Ho-oh if it decides to fish for burns.
Ao Kuang (Palkia) @ Lustrous Orb
Trait: Pressure
EVs: 252 SAtk / 252 Spd / 4 SDef
Timid Nature
- Spacial Rend
- Thunder
- Surf
- Toxic
My kyogre check. Choiced Kyogre is such a monster, especially against the rest of my team, that I had to include a Palkia. Lustrous Orb boosts spacial rend and surf's power to rather deadly levels, and thunder does massive damage to choice kyogre in Rain. Additionally, Palkias 100 base speed tier allows it to ousted Ho-oh, making it a second, albeit less effective Ho-oh check, as well as outspending non-scarfed Yveltal.
Toxic serves as a nice surprise for any arceus-grass or arceus-water than wants to switch in
Eyelander (Aegislash) @ Leftovers
Trait: Stance Change
EVs : 252 HP / 252 SDef / 4 Atk
Sassy Nature
IVs: 0 Spd
- King's Shield
- Gyro Ball
- Shadow Sneak
- Pursuit
This baby is my check to Xerneas and Mega Gengar. Xerneas does pitiful damage to Aegislash with any attack it has, even at +2, and Aegislash can take it out with a combo of Gyro Ball + Shadow Sneak.
4 Atk Aegislash-Blade Gyro Ball (117 BP) vs. 104 HP / 32 Def Xerneas: 362-428 (86.3 - 102.1%) -- 18.8%
chance to OHKO
+2 252+ SpA Xerneas Hidden Power Fire vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Aegislash-Shield: 158-186 (48.7 - 57.4%) -- 47.7% chance to 2HKO after Leftovers recovery
Additionally, Slash can eat up any one hit from mega gengar if it decides to stay in, but it gets KOed by pursuit + shadow sneak. If it decides to switch out, pursuit outright KOes it anyway.
Dragotix (Mawile) @ Mawilite
Trait: Intimidate / Huge Power
EVs: 248 HP / 52 Atk / 208 SDef
Careful Nature
- Play Rough
- Iron Head
- Sucker Punch
- Swords Dance
This Mon, man, this mon...
Mega Mawile hits like a truck, even with only 52 EVs invested in attack. The SDef EVs ensure than Mega Mawile avoids a 2HKO from unbolted xerneas' HP fire after rocks, as well as avoiding a 2HKO from life orb xerneas' moon blast after rocks. The moves are self-explanatory : They basically do massive amounts of damage to anything that doesn't resist them or just has massively high defence.
Normal Mawile's intimidate gives the mon nice mix bulk on the switch in before megavolving, allowing it to set up on some physical attackers. Additionally, it also checks darkrai and yveltal rather soundly.
Delicious! (Blissey) @ Leftovers
Trait: Natural Cure
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Def / 252 SDef
Calm Nature
- Toxic
- Seismic Toss
- Wish
- Heal Bell
My support, as well as yveltal and darkrai counter. This mon has no problems switching in on them and hitting them with a toxic. With the special bulk it has, as well as the investment, blissey can take a +2 life orb focus blast from darkrai no problem, and takes pitiful damage from anything yveltal throws at it. Heal bell to get rid of pesky status, and wish for palkia and mawile, who have no form of recovery.
Unforgiven (Arceus) @ Leftovers
Trait: Multitype
EVs: 252 HP / 248 Def / 8 Spd
Impish Nature
- Will-o-Wisp
- Recover
- Extremespeed
- Perish Song
Here it is, the star of the show, the almighty Wallceus! This mon laughs at any physical attacker, even its offensive counterparts, as it can simply burn them will WoW. Combined with Lando-T, opposing Ekiller arceus aren't gonna be having a good time. Recover is self-explanatory, helping Wallceus retain its survivability. Espeed helps to kill of weakened threats in a pinch, such as Leadkrai once it's sash is broken.
Then we get to the 4th move.
Perish Song???
Yup, you saw right. This move is very underrated, but still EXTREMELY useful. (haha see what I did there) It provides a timer on opposing sweepers, as well as forcing walls to switch out. This move can create a huge amount of momentum for my team. Additionally, it also completely screws with Baton Pass :]
Threat List:
This guy is soooo annoying to play against, especially since I have no way of clearing hazards. Usually I go into Arceus and get a burn on it to wear it down for Palkia to kill it off. But in rain, it's really... a thorn in my side...
Another pain to play against. I usually have to let something go to sleep, and switch into bliss to slowly wear it down... super annoying especially since sleep really hurts my team synergy.
Ekiller, even with my Wallceus, is always a threat. A +2 Espeed still manages to 2HKO my wallceus, even with my EVs. So I have to risk missing WoW, and I do not like those odds. Leftovers variants are slightly easier to handle, however.
This chicken hits like a TRUCK. Even at -1, Flare Blitz from a mega blaziken still does hefty damage to my Lando, though Earthquake KOs it in return. So I have to keep Lando healthy, which is certainly easier said than done.
Aside from these, select mons, this team can take on quite possibly anything, as long as one doesn't misplay, or get insane hax :P
Things I have considered:
Replace Mega Mawile with Mega Gengar
stall is a rather large problem for my team, due to burns flying every which way. Mega Gengar can help to fix that, but my team loses some offensive pressure. However, as I battle more experienced Ubers players, I have begun to think this might be a good idea.
Rest on Palkia
I thought this was cray at first, but thinking about it, it kind of synergizes well with bliss, and also makes for a kind of more defensive Palkia that still retains offensive pressure. Still not sure about this tho.
*Replays coming soon!*
That's my team, I hope you can give some feedback. Thanks!
