Unless my tired eyes have deceived me..

A small rodent/lizard just scurried from my bedroom to the corner of my apartment where I keep laundry and miscellaneous items. There wasn't anywhere else for this little fucker to go..

I spent 45 minutes clearing the area out cautiously and determined to exterminate whatever I find. I put a towel under the bedroom door that connects to the living room [gotta protect the girlfriend from death], and slip on some shoes so i don't get blood and guts on my bare feet.. but after shaking down each piece of clothing and moving everything at least 10 feet away from the designated area.. I find nothing at all..

I can't sleep knowing something is in my apartment, doing whatever it wants at will. And all I have to show for it is a clean and organized corner of the room.

What shall I do? Do I keep my shoes on?

If you really can't stand the idea of this thing being in your house, you should probably leave doors cracked open, including as many openings to the outside as possible so it can scram if it likes. Also, avoid leaving any food in rodent/lizard accessible places. In all honesty, though, unless you swat at it, etc., there is absolutely no reason for it to be aggressive. Don't worry about it. You're just a lump of matter that moves around to whatever this thing is (which is probably a rodent of some sort).

Well I can pretty much X out the chance of it being a rodent.. as there would just be no way of it escaping my sight while I was sifting through all the junk. But just not knowing what it is.. probably bothers me the most..

I can't wait til my lease is up.. and I can move out of this underground hell hole.

I remember when i was younger, and when I heard about a studio apartment, I thought it was the coolest thing.

No.. no it is not.

you better ducttape your mouth shut when you sleep

unless you want a lizard making a nest in your lungs.

Don't worry. They're small.

Man, you would die in India, there are lizards everywhere. You let on in, and they breed like crazy. Just remember, they are more scared of you than you are of them. And they eat mosquitos, which arent afraid of you in the slightest.

Feel bad for you man. I remember once I was walking down the stairs and I saw this brown lump. It stood still and scared. My brother and I put boxes around the area where it was so it'd be corralled, but it ran under the couch our dog sleeps on. We killed it with good ole poison.Look for mouse droppings to confirm they're there. Then just buy some traps and poison and you'll be fine. Just make sure you find the dead thing or your going to have a different problem.
