NFE PR

Grande Grim Neighs :spectrier:
?????????
I have no idea if any of these people play/have played the tier, if not, good luck because there's no way you'll be able to get a positive record in this pool. Not having an NFE at all is tough, but in a tournament where the opponent team can choose an extra tier... pretty much going 0-2 every week unless someone is secretely the new NFE Goat.

Picking NFE as your flex slot against this team is definitely a free win unless Pokemon decides otherwise.
Nine Oblivions Ambers :yveltal:
horrii (Flex: Leni, Nashrock)
Horrii won the most recent NFE solo tournament, but team tournaments are much more competitive than solo tours, so i wouldn't expect them to do well against the rest of the pool, BUT since it's Horrii's first team tournament in NFE (to my knowledge), they could surprise everyone and crush the pool. The flex slot tho... i'm more perplexed about it, i have no idea if Leni is gonna be down to play NFE, he's the only one with NFE experience and has done well in ND NFE & SS NFE in the past, it's more than likely that he'll get teams from Shing if that's the case, but if not this might look rough, because i'm unsure about Horrii's capabilities to build 1 solid team per week, so building 2 solid teams per week might be overwhelming, especially at the beginning of the tournament. In case Leni is not down to play NFE i'm pretty sure Nashrock has a little bit of experience in the tier, but i wouldn't predict them to be able to get wins against some other potential Flex NFE players.

Picking NFE as your flex slot against this team should be taken into consideration. However this won't guarantee you a free win as they could be able to do the upset here.
Meteor Mashers Elite :lucario:
mh (Flex: Thiago Nunes)
Mh has been invested in the tier for a long time now, but i don't think they have try harded the tier as much as some of the other players of the pool. They'll be able to build good teams but from what i noticed during NFEPL (the last time Mh played SV NFE in a teamtour) was that almost all of their teams shared some common weaknesses, so if Mh is not able to work on that then this might become really hard, especially towards the end of the tournament. To my knowledge, nobody else has played the tier except Thiago Nunes, who did really well in NFEPL with given teams, but it was a different metagame, and having mh as your only builder might end up with having mediocre teams for both NFE slots in case of a Flex NFE slot.

Picking NFE as your flex slot against this team should be considered, mh might end up overwhelmed by having to build 2 teams/week which is something you could take advantage of, however be sure to have a strong player in your flex because Thiago won't let you take that win easily.
Summertime Sandslashes :sandslash:
Maybca (Flex: sealoo)
Maybca has been doing pretty well through his NFE career, but he took a break for a couple of months, in which a completely new meta has been developped, so he'll have to kind of re-discover a lot of stuff to come back to his initial skill level. However after a couple of weeks he'll be able to get solid teams and take wins from the strongest players of the pool. Sealoo will be a great support, the Maybca-Sealoo duo has worked for NFEPL and i know they'll both be motivated enough to cook good teams together. Sealoo is also a good player in case of a Flex slot which is a big plus considering a lot of teams will be relying on tour players to fill the NFE Flex slot.

Picking NFE as your flex slot against this team is not recommanded, Maybca & Sealoo are both good enough to win against most inexperienced players.
Shadow Lugia Syndicate :lugia:
5Dots (Flex: seth, Baddy)
5Dots has been playing NFE at least since the beginning of the generation, this is with no doubt that he'll be able to grab a couple of wins against the bottom of the pool and he is quite creative with his teams while still being at least decent against most common stuff of the tier. Seth plays ND NFE but he's been around SV NFE enough to support 5Dots if needed. Baddy has been doing extremely well in UMs overall, so i assume that they're comfortable playing NFE as well as any other tier of the tournament, which is precious in a tournament with Flex slots.

Picking NFE as your flex slot against this team is not recommanded at all, Baddy will be able to play the tier without much issues and 5Dots will have no issue providing 2 teams per week.
Miku Meloettas :meloetta:
Dragonillis (Flex: ?)
Dragonillis is a really good NFE player and builder, he'll have no issues building solid teams every week while still being creative enough to catch anyone off guard, he had a great showing in the last couple of team tournaments including NFE, especially in the most recent one where he was able to take down some of the best NFE players of the generation. However, Dragonillis is someone who really appreciates having feedback on teams or having someone to build with or discuss with, but i don't think anyone is gonna be able to provide that support in this team. I'm concerned about how they'll handle NFE Flex slot, because it doesn't seem that anyone has played the tier before, or at least the current meta.

Picking NFE as your flex slot against this team is alright, this won't be an easy win because Dragonillis always have some good teams in his builder, but the fact that nobody else plays the tier is a big advantage to take into consideration.
Bait and Switch Basculegions :basculegion:
sleid (Flex: ?)
Among the whole pool, sleid is actually one of the most recent player in NFE, but he had an amazing run in UMPL and has been showing great teams and plays. Sleid is capable of playing any type of teams which makes him quite unpredictable and is one of the few players who don't feel like they're playing the same structures over and over again, while still having really strong teams. He'll have no issue providing teams for the flex slot, however, it doesn't seem like anybody else has experienced in NFE and flex slot in NFE might be difficult to handle.

Picking NFE as your flex slot against this team is alright, although sleid is tough to deal with during prep and will provide good teams to the flex slot, nobody else plays the tier, so if you have 2 NFE players then that's a choice to take into consideration.
Kagome Kyurems :kyurem:
Stareal (Flex: TTK, Lyna)
Ok so i need someone to explain to me how the fuck Stareal went 4.5k during the draft, because he's been one of the most consistent NFE player for years, not only is he very good in-game, but Stareal is also the type of guy to always be so hard to prep against, because he's just able to play literally anything, from very solid structures to some more niche & creative cores, he just plays anything and always end up with a solid record. Furthermore, having extra help from TTK & Lyna makes this NFE slot even scarier, TTK could have been a NFE player of the pool and would be pretty decent, so this is without a doubt that this team will take advantage of him being able to grab easy wins against teams without any option to fill an NFE Flex slot.

Picking NFE as your flex slot against this team is trolling, if anything you should expect to play an extra NFE game against them.

1v1 Power Rankings

Meteor Mashers Elite: gorilaa

So gorilaa isn't a bad player by any means. Going 5-2 in SV in 1v1 World Cup VIII is quite the achievement, especially since he went 1-1 against Nuxl and won against Blanched. The issue for this team comes in the lack of support. While 1v1WC South Europe had RADU for support, this team very notably does not have RADU for support and rather sort of throws gorilaa in the slot and hopes he does well. Additionally, the team seems very weak to other teams flexing 1v1 into them.
Shadow Lugia Syndicate: RTM + Fragments + Call me PK

Honestly, this team looks a lot stronger than a team that should be ranked 7th on paper. I originally wanted to put this team at 6th, but noticed something while I was writing that made me put them at 7th, which is that the team potentially relies too much on RTM. RTM is a pretty solid person to rely on, but his motivation and time are the biggest questions here, as he followed his 11-2 pl/wc 2023 season with being 9-13 since in 1v1 forum teamtours. Fragments is much more of a clicker than a builder in 1v1, while PK is honestly a pretty good player, but has less SV knowledge than quite a few players. This team basically has a high ceiling and a low floor, but I can see the floor happening much more than I can the ceiling.
Nine Oblivion Ambers: Akeras + happysh + Shivam_Z

I am, admittedly, a happysh fan. I am, admittedly, not a fan of the other 1v1 players on this team. Akeras is quite improved, but got his World Cup 4-0 on a relatively easy SV schedule. I don't think that this is an "you should not have picked Akeras" angle, but I do think that happysh is more proven, both as a builder and a clicker, and should likely be in 1v1 most weeks. I'm admittedly not very familiar with Shivam's game, but I don't expect that he'll be slotted in 1v1 unless the other two slots go sideways. Outside of that, I don't actually dislike this team. While neither player has had an overwhelmingly good tournament in their pasts, this does feel like quite the workable core to at least do okay in 1v1.
Summertime Sandslashes: Miyoko + Mentality + Arcanine1929

I like this team. Miyoko was, once upon a time, my B101 student and I rank him quite highly as a clicker, which he's recently shown with a 2nd place finish in the most 1v1 Global Cup. Mentality is an up-and-coming builder who built for Miyoko during that tournament. Arcanine1929 also did have a good 1v1 Global Cup, having reached the Top 12 in that tournament, but I'm sort of surprised to not see Mentality slotted in the flex slot this week. Anyways, I like how this team is trying to use the Miyoko + Mentality core, which has shown success in prior individuals, in a team tournament setting. Despite neither Miyoko nor Mentality having stellar team tournaments in the past, at least in the 1v1 subforum, I can see the vision that this team has the pieces to put up a respectable season.
Bait and Switch Basculegions: Nuxl + Vertigo + fake tom numbers

I dislike this team. It has 25 characters. Having a team name go over 21 characters is a crime in my eyes. Do better. That aside, this team is an interesting crew. I rate Nuxl highly as a player. He's usually relatively consistent in SV, and has been nothing less than stellar whenever he plays DPP. He's one of the better SV mainers and should have a shot to have a strong season. Vertigo, however, is coming off of an 0-5 OGPL. While he generally does at least okay in SV, he hasn't really touched 1v1 recently outside of OGPL, to my knowledge, which means that the last time he played was when Gouging Fire was still legal, which isn't great. Tom is also a wild card, as despite him being a decent player in his own right, he tends to go undrafted in team tournaments due to being seen as a relatively toxic presence. While I dislike the fact that he doesn't get drafted for how he was in the past, he's still a wild card in a draft format tournament due to being relatively untested. I can see this team doing well, but how it does outside of Nuxl is still a bit of a question.
Miku Meloettas: bern + neomon + Sificon + Blanched + LongRat

Holy crap it's Miku also...

holy crap that's five fucking 1v1 players.
- miku, probably

Okay, so this is 1v1 by committee. Blanched is probably going to go 2v2 for the entire season, which leaves us bern + neomon + Sificon + LongRat. I genuinely have no idea how to rate this team, but all these players will most likely get along and prep together. Neomon is basically a mainstay SV Bo7 player at this point and is a pretty good builder. bern and LongRat are respectable bo5 players usually. Sificon being the 5th potential 1v1 option on a team is sort of absurd for this tournament. This team should realistically be quite solid and has a lot of backups for if the slot goes sideways, alongside a lot of prep.
Grande Grim Neighs: crow crumbs + RADU + Kaif + DripLegend

I have heard that Drip does not want to help with 1v1. That leaves bird + RADU + Kaif. This is a strong team. Choosing 1st vs 2nd was actually incredibly difficult for me, but I have to give this team 2nd. I think RADU is probably the person to beat this tournament and is likely the strongest player in the pool. Despite not having I assume Kaif is probably going to be playing 2v2. Bird is quite the respectable 1v1 player and should likely do quite well if he's ever slotted in 1v1. The synergy for this team also seems quite strong, and the team is suited to do quite well. The issue is that despite RADU being good at prep, I don't fully trust crow crumbs's SV support as much as I do the first seed's, despite it being quite good. All in all, this team is really strong and is basically neck and with who I have at the first seed here.
Kagome Kyurems: Kry + Indi01 + LittEleven + Lost Heros

This definitely seems like the 1v1 core that is most focused on SV 1v1 instead of oldgens. Kry is definitely the 2v2 slot here, but it's the core of Indi01 + LittEleven + Lost Heros that truly makes this team's 1v1. Indi, after winning 2023's Global Cup, made it back to semis recently. LittEleven hasn't played SV in a while, and had a really bad 2024, but has recently had a pretty decent OGPL III, so I expect him to be at least somewhat back in form this year. Lost Heros also made it to Global Cup semifinals, but I really like the option that this team has chosen to keep him as a prep / support option, as he hasn't had the best SV records in team tournaments as a whole. I think that this team has probably the strongest prep in the tournament while also staying relatively strong on the clicking side, but it is definitely close with the Grande Grim Neighs.

I wrote a lot more than I thought I would. Gonna go chill now. Gn.

1. grim neighs
radu goes undefeated
1. kyurems
indi has a good indiv track record i think. i think litt can do well if he tries. lost heros can help with the teams homework too
3.5. basculegions
nuxl is good and will do very well but if they have to play a second slot idk if vertigo is the guy for the job
3.5. meloettas
neomon/bern should do well. these 2 can manage by themselves well and more rounded than basculegions. also they have some supports. i think they have a lower ceiling but higher floor than nuxl+vertigo
5. lugias
im not sure rtm gives 2 shits abt this tour. he might win 2 games or 6
6. ambers --> this name aint even pokemon related??
this team can easily be number 1 if akeras can succesfully act fish every week. realistically happysh starts and as long as he is loading real teams he will do fine
7. sandlashes
team india
8. meteor mashers
gorilaa is good but he is alone :( the enemy can send sv 1v1 flex slot every week
he is not playing week 1 its an 8th

ubers uu [for-fun non-exhaustive/messy and mostly just from ubers uupl + umpl pov]
bolds are starters from w1. my strat this tour would be to have a season-long lock on my flex but ill add a lil section of like, hey if you were picking flex based on your opp, would it be good to pick ubers uu

8. Ambers [emoxu9, Leni, Ford]
Manager selfbuy who doesn't have much Ubers UU experience slotting in? I guess the depth isn't there and you have the sheet breaker for AG. I don't have a ton of faith in the options here, Ford will at least have Ubers UU knowledge but I don't know how much builder support they can provide. Leni's a good clicker but needs to be provided stuff.
Pick into: Yeah. Even their default starter doesn't inspire a ton of confidence to be honest, their depth is not there. I'd be in my teamcord talking about how we're up 2-0 before the week even goes up to hype up my team.

7. Meloettas [LBN, OceanicGamer]
I have to assume they got Ubers UU picked into them. LBN is a perfectly serviceable starter, though on the weaker side for sure. Oceanic is a good community member with motivation, but I'm not convinced yet they can hang with the best of the best in this tour. At the very least, they should be able to provide teams for LBN. But this is a pretty rough tier for the Meloettas.
Pick into: Yeah. LBN is gonna struggle against the strength of the default pool, and most teams are going to have someone who can outplay Ocenaic in the battle room at the very least I'd think.

6. Sandslashes [Dorron, qbking3]
Here is like the first team that I feel like genuinely did draft for Ubers UU (sorry 7 and 8). Dorron is strong both in the teambuilder and the battle scene, though they're this low because their support for a flex slot is not great and plenty of default starters can match Dorron in skill or experience.
Pick into: Maybe? I'd want to make sure my player going into Dorron is confident, but the depth isn't really here for the Sandslashes to comfortably take on a Ubers UU flex pick. But then again, I'd not discount Dorron support and it's not like qbking3 is a non-mainer.

5. Syndicate [Baddy Terracotta TTTech Quinn seth]
I rate Baddy higher (with great bias tbh after teaming with him!) than Dorron, though the flex depth here is odd. I guess they picked this into Melos? Why was Terracotta the default pick, though? Anyway, there's a buncha good clickers who could slot into Ubers UU (i didn't check tnps) if Baddy or Terracotta can feed them teams, if they need to, but it seems they won't need to since we already see what their Flex preference is. Is Baddy just flexing into opposing picks? Surely Melos didn't pick into them...? I dunno how much Terracotta builds, though, so that might be a touch of a weak spot?
Pick into: Maybe? I'd def not do it on Week 2, Baddy should be the default here and Terracotta's definitely good enough to make me less confident about my own flex clicker's abilities to grab an easy win. Especially with how many clickers they theoretically have to cycle through, too.

4. Neighs [Frito, Celeste, hex]
You can't really rate them lower than this, honestly. They probably deserve higher. Frito might genuinely be the best default starter in a vacuum. Their flex depth is a bit of a question mark, Celeste is lovely but I do wonder how much week-to-week building will be just Frito screaming to herself in an echo room that will be the Ubers UU prep channel.
Pick into: Ugh, maybe. My starter is probably 60:40 against Frito at best, but a Frito-supported Celeste? Nah, I don't think I could do it. Maybe as a backup case if other tiers look even bleaker.

3. Elite [Fc Seraphz Plague TNunes feen]
Seraphz is a good clicker, but needed building support in Ubers UU PL IIRC. Luckily, they have Fc. TNunes, Plague, and feen are all quite capable clickers for an off-week or a flex selection, and again, you're always gonna be struggling against Fc-supported solid clickers. Fc's obviously playing AG, but his presence will be felt in Ubers UU and it's gonna be to your detriment playing against Seraphz.
Pick into: I wouldn't. Maybe if you hear rumors that Fc is crashing out and leaving Seraphz and the clickers to their own, but even then, I'd still avoid it.

2. Kyurems [Imperial, pooshi, Fishyroads, Shadow, Mozonite]
Award for "most likely to be most incorrect on this ranking"! TBC, neither captain self-bought, but. I suppose we'll see how much folks like Shadow and Imperial are still motivated to lab Ubers UU stuff, Shadow IIRC was actively hoping to not get drafted for UUFPL and then ended up on a totally different team than the one he was in VC with during auction. Mozonite's a fine player, but you can see by where he ended up in the list that I for sure thought he would not be starting over four storied Ubers UU players.
Pick into: I wouldn't. They'd wreck you. Shadow or Fishy can reasonably step into a flex slot and do fine. They'd even be fine as default slot, and I'm not super sure why they aren't.

1. Basculegions [Medeia, Rasche, Rofna, Bazingatron]
Wooooow the Shymin topranks the team with 3 Shymins. Anyway, when Medeia is on your bench, you did something right for Ubers UU slots. All you need is someone to actually get Rasche to say fucking anything in their starter chat and link pastes more than 10 minutes before scheduled time and you've got a near-unstoppable Ubers UU. RoFnA probably isn't touching Ubers UU but can provide tests, and Bazingatron is going to be a fine presence again assuming you can get Rasche to actually talk. Love ya Rasche.
Pick into: Gods no. Unless you're hoping that Medeia's timer usage somehow causes their unexpecting teammates to experience cardiac arrhythmia and need to go to a hospital and then miss all their games :P

So, hi, i am now eliminated from UMBD together with the rest of the Kyurems, i'm gonna make a post on this, will double as yap and shoutout

So okay, of all teams i couldve ended up on, this is the last one I expected to be on, lots of ppl i knew were going for me in some level to fill their slot just to get dropped 18k on by a team with 2 Ubers UU playing managers and 2 Ubers UU players, was expecting to be subbing or relegated to a flex slot, which was the case a bit early, but i did get put to play week 3 onward, and honestly I proud of my record considering my lacking commitment to the tour and the very shady looking prep.
The games i played in this run were really funny, most people didn't really care so I got to load basically whatever i want here, in order I loaded: Terrain, Screen Shed, (a week I subbed but were going to use a uufpl team, sub won with it), Shed HO, Shed Offense. I have no clue how I got away with any of these in hindsight but they were really fun to both build and pilot. Teams will be in a teamdump at the Ubers UU bazaar eventually.
Now to shoutouts
My #1 guy, Mozonite, moth man, you are all I could ask for in a prep buddy, you're funny, are avaiable when needed, shares the same few screws loose that makes building the way it is, thanks for being there, I truly appreciate it. (Also draft this guy future UM managers he cooks)
Yo Shadow079, cool having you on the squad, not much to say, go do your 1v1 thingies frend, i'll draft you for UUBPL and put you in Bo1 every week <3
Uh Tenebricite never interacted much but thanks a lot for subbing in when i couldn't play, you seem like a nice dude so i hope i get to interact w/ u for more teamtours
Big king Jusfordlolz even though you were on a whole different team you were prolly the second biggest help for this tour, most things I did load went through you in tests and those helped a lot, i.e without you (and mozonite), there is no cloyster.mp4 and we all know how much i love it :kek:. Good luck onward and hope to be on your team next UMPL/UUBPL
Thanks to all the people on the kagome kyurems and to Poosh_i /Imperial for picking me up, goodbye folks and good luck in your future endeavors

rly sucks to be out after dominating the tour as top 2 for basically the whole season. regardless this was a very fun experience so it's time for shoutouts! honestly i thought my manager career was over after umpl lmao so it feels good to hit playoffs. gz to grim neighs and ambers, honestly rly cool and unexpected finals

(order by tiers)
first of all ofc shoutouts to Despacito87 for managing with me. thank u bro ure awesome and brought us so many important wins. sucks to fall short after so many playoffs appearances, but im sure youll win one of these (umpl??) someday

RTM excellent record and vibes, glad to have bought u for so cheap (yo ur price was criminal for a player of ur calibre). ure a fun person, hope to team up w u in more tours

Hugo ur record is misleading af bro, ure a 2v2 goat and ur prep style is amazing. stand proud king. ill never forgive u for making me play so many games of this awful tier though /j

RL i knew i had to get u and i was right. we need entertainment in the chat and few could it better than Random Lechonk. thx for making the environment very pleasant bro   :bloodbath:

5Dots great performance, youre a solid player and prepping/playing with u is always fun. even tho things were a bit rough in the middle u stayed strong and bounced back, even winning the semis game. thx for fixing my negative reaction score too :p

Terracotta ik season didnt go as well as you'd have liked but it's fine, you've been an absolute prep goat and i mean it. its commendable that ure always willing to support multiple slots and post helpful suggestions. thx for everything pal

Quinn pal we just slotted u in tiers you've probably played like once or twice in ur life before and YOU KEPT WINNING (including in semis). your games are always fun, impressive stuff man. good vibes too. baddy told me to draft u in the auction and im really glad i did, youre a big part of our run

THE_CHUNGLER this is the 2nd time ive bought u for a UMTT, and i sure as hell dont regret it one bit. like man i cant stress enough how important of a player u were for the team. even before the draft i knew you'd do well and even bet my pants on it with despa. im so glad my instinct was right, starting u was the best decision ive made in a minute (ik some managers were considering u as zu sub but they were WRONG haha). ure a fun person too. awesome run bud

Baddy u were always on our draft plan and we were prepared to drop big money :tm: on u, so im glad u reached out in the auction. ik ure not satisfied w ur record but dw chief, ure a very strong player and carried our uubers. ure also goated for comaning in the auction in despa's absence, @despacito plz dont sleep though an auction again... i thought of adding a pun here but... maybe not actually. thx for everything

Fragments u have no idea how much money we were willing to drop on you LMAO. i laughed when i got u for like 8k when u were like the first person to be nommed. but man ure a fkn goat, we slotted u in like 4 different tiers and u ended up going positive. GJ pal

Call me PK IM SORRY u couldnt play even once this season. ure a chill person though, and i liked interacting with u. ur willingness to help the team by like even scouting is impressive, plz don't think u've been useless

seth thanks for... motivating us with stickers :p and subbing in nfe when 5dots wasnt available. pokerichxslaking

TTTech ure a clown LMAO all u ever did was shittalk... but even so im sure the team would not be the same without u so u were definitely a good "inspirational" presence  :bloodbath:

as for support...

Kala chasmah bro ure a fkn prep demon. despite not "officially" being on the team (i wish u signed up..) ur enthusiasm in helping rtm and the team was simply amazing. great chat presence too. ure a lugia bro idc what the sheet says ill sellback 5 @TTTechs for u

Adhi Lord Rekkuza entrocefalo Dragonillis fake tom numbers thx for joining us in playoffs guys, yall are cool

until next time

Quick AG "teamdump", haven't touched this tier forever but thankfully had teams passed to me or from AGWL. I tried to spread out my scout because I was certain I wasn't gonna put up a good record since I just didn't know this tier and didn't know what I'd like or be able to pilot well. Some questionable teams were used in some weeks of the tour after my team won... probably don't use them but the rest win games. I saw pais paste everything but the spreads in one of his dumps so the teams I were passed directly have hidden evs even if they are probably 252 252 but you can probably get an idea of what they looked like if you wanted to use them. I also got 1900 and 95 gxe with Axis 6 and Deo Gambit HO really easy if you want some teams for laddering.

We had an amazing tour despite a lot of people being skeptical thank you crow crumbs Frito for drafting me even though I didn't really play sv ag prior to this tour and never really started or did well in a team tour before and thanks to hex DripLegend Nuxl Zcarlett Jojen RADU Kaif Celeste Potatochan and all the helpers/friends for keeping chat positive and fun or just winning your games and dealing with us... really appreciated yall and this is probably gonna be my favorite tour for a while despite not winning it!

https://pokepast.es/e2aa4c792a4c073c My ladder version of Axis 6 and most used team, faced 0 Dkiss Caly when I made it heavy slam BTW but did always beat hatt teams still change this to Payback probably and Mental Herb Lu was me was malding at Minimize Taunt Smeargle cheesing being half of my losses so change it to boots too. I love EQ to hit Mirai and I hate BU Fire Ekiller and that guy sometimes runs Mental Herb so I opted for Wisp and Mola can probably be scald to try to punish Zacian that can Tera Steel/Electric and live CC or WC and you are now incredibly weak to other Scarfers or Scale Korai that scald can burn or get more damage than just Flip into Ditto. This team is broken.
