Team at a glance:
Lightning (Jirachi) @ Choice Scarf
Trait: Serene Grace
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SDef / 252 Spd
Adamant Nature
IVs: 30 SAtk / 30 SDef
Fire Punch Ice Punch Iron Head U-turn
Okay, here is my revenge killer. A lot of people use Scarfed Jirachi as a revenge killer. It's great. The moveset covers a great amount. Fire Punch to deal with Ice and other metal types, such as Mamoswine, when absolutely necessary, or Metagross. Ice Punch to cover grass types and flying types. Iron Head for a typical STAB with a 60% chance of making the opponent flinch? SEXY! U-turn as a good scout. Jirachi is usually my lead to draw out the opponent's weather starter. With U-turn I can switch and do a bit of damage to their lead and then finish them with the appropriate Pokemon on my team.
Zidane (Abomasnow) (M) @ Choice Band
Trait: Snow Warning
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SDef
Adamant Nature
- Ice Shard Wood HammerAvalanche Earthquake
Abomasnow. He's my preferred weather starter. For a long time I hated weather teams, but lately in OU weather is everywhere and it makes battling MUCH easier when you control the weather. Choice Band so he can hit like a truck. If I notice I'm playing a Rain Dance team I lead Abomasnow, use Wood Hammer, and send that little green toad home crying. Ice Shard for priority and to take out some dragons. Dual STAB with Avalanche because it's physical and doubles power if he's hit, which with Abomasnow's slow speed, happens often. Earthquake for a bit more coverage.
Vivi (Chandelure) (M) @ Choice Specs
Trait: Flash Fire
EVs: 252 HP / 252 SAtk / 4 SDef
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk / 30 SDef
Shadow Ball Fire Blast Hidden Power [Ground] Trick
Chandulure has been a bit controversial on this team. I played around with Heatran for a bit, but I wasn't really feeling it. So I was playing around with a few other fire types and finally I tried this sexy little light. With Flash Fire he gobbles up any fire types that are aimed at my ice pokemon. With his ghost typing I can take any fighting types that go after my ice types with no damage. I love it. So much. Shadow Ball for a typical STAB to check Starmie or Alakazam. Fire Blast for another STAB. Specs Chandulure hits sooo hard. If I get that Flash Fire also you can pretty much wish your team goodbye if I don't get out sped too much. Hidden Power [Ground] to check any fire types. Lead with Chandulure against a Sunny Day team and they keep their Ninetales in, BOOM, you just won the weather war. Trick is to stop any stalls that the opponent may be using (those annoying pink blobs that are all over the place.) Not even kidding, without a Choice Trick user Blissey and Chansey can literally Toxic stall this entire team if Hydreigon is gone.
Aeris (Starmie) @ Leftovers
Trait: Natural Cure
EVs: 252 SAtk / 4 SDef / 252 Spd
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk / 30 Spd
Rapid Spin Psychic Surf Blizzard
Starmie is on my team for primarily a spinner. Some people have suggested Forretress, because he can tank physical hits, but I think Starmie works better. Starmie can also OHKO opponents' Mamoswines with STAB Surf. Psychic for another STAB to give Starmie wider coverage. Blizzard over Ice Beam because this is a Hail team. I don't care about the accuracy of it. It hits hard. If you recognize the name reference you probably know that Starmie is usually a sacrifice. Sorry Starmie. Love you?
Lightning (Hydreigon) (F) @ Life Orb
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 4 Atk / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Hasty Nature
IVs: 30 Atk / 30 SAtk / 30 Spd
Dark Pulse Draco Meteor Fire Blast Superpower
And here is my main sweeper. Hydreigon. I personally love Hydreigon. He looks bad-ass for one and he has pretty great stats with Life Orb. Dark Pulse for a Dark STAB. OHKOs any Psychic type that I've gone up against, but I haven't gone up against them all, maybe there is something that can wall this that is Psychic. Draco Meteor for a Dragon type STAB. I try not to keep Hydreigon in too long after I used Draco Meteor, though. Fire Blast to try to increase coverage. Superpower to take out those pink blobs. Mixed Hydreigon is pretty good over all. A lot of people don't seem to expect the mix.
Cloud (Mamoswine) (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Thick Fat
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SDef
Adamant Nature
IVs: 30 Atk / 30 Def / 0 SAtk
Earthquake Ice Shard Icicle Crash Superpower
And lastly the newest addition to my team, Mamoswine. I had Glaceon for a while for a Toxic/Wish staller, but I didn't like it that much. I needed an Ice type physical sweeper, but I didn't want the new, to OU, Kyurem-Black, not for any specific reason. I just didn't want to use him, I guess. I have Earthquake for a Ground STAB to counter some fire types. I have Ice Shard for priority and with Life Orb/STAB it hit's pretty decently hard. I have dual STAB because, I don't really know. I don't use Icicle Crash that often. I've been thinking of replacing it with Stealth Rocks to set up some entry hazards. I don't know yet. Then I have Superpower to expand my coverage some more.
