The thirteenth UPL season will start with the selection of team managers. Only post in this thread if you would like to manage a team – all other posts will be deleted. Returning managers will have stronger claims, but in the end we (the UPL Hosts and Ubers Moderation Team) will be selecting the managers that we think will make for the best tournament. You must signup in this thread to manage. You must be active for the entire tournament (approx. 2 months) and be capable of sending in weekly lineups on time.

The format for UPL XIII will be:
- SV Ubers
- SV Ubers
- SV Ubers
- SS Ubers
- USM Ubers
- ORAS Ubers
- BW Ubers
- DPP Ubers
- ADV Ubers
- GSC Ubers
- RBY Ubers
- Best of Three: SV / SS / USM

Legacy teams and new franchise names are up to host and Ubers moderation discretion

Both managers will have the opportunity to buy themselves for 20k credits before the auction. Each team will be allowed a maximum of two retains. Players that are retained will be locked into the same tiers that they were locked in the year prior. Retain trading is not allowed in this tournament.

Prior Experience: Mashing and I are very active in the Ubers community, both of us have played every major Ubers team tour this year - WCOP, SCL, UPL, and UWL. In the past, I have managed AGPL thrice - making finals twice and winning once, and I have shadow managed in various team tours - OM (won and then made finals next year), CAP (made finals), UM, and UU (made finals), helped draft our UWL team, Koraiders, (made finals), and Mashing has made finals twice as GSCPL manager. Between us, we can cover most slots in this tour, and we have a good eye on the Ubers playerbase—both established and up-and-coming—so we're confident that we can draft a strong team and make Durians a champion team again!

Desired Team/New Team Name: Defiant Durians / Any Team

Prior Experience: I've been playing for a very long time. Passionate Ubers and Old Gens guy. I've played in UPL for many years + hosted as well. I've also chilled around as a helper in servers so all that's left is to manage a team with my trusty TBD co-manager. It would be cool to manage the Durians due to the name's massive pedigree and overall historically great team vibes.

Desired Team/New Team Name: Dangerous Dracovish
Prior Experience: I've played this tournament for almost a decade, most recently on Durians last year, also managed it several times and I have the most managing experience out of anyone on this website. Reje is the most motivated rby-gsc ubers player you'll find anywhere ever, and is also quite good at the more recent gens. We both played ubers on an official level before in SSD/SCL. We're also best buddies forever.:heart:

Managers: myself with HoennSceptile

Desired Team Name: returning manager of Manly Melmetal

Prior Experience: Hoenn and I go a long way in managing, always ending with decent results including our UPL XI win as a debut managing pair. He’s been manager UPL for past 2 years and did great thing on his own while getting pulled back by his own co-manager.
I do have also great experience in managing, currently leading an FCL team among other things. We’re both involved since years in the community and we will make efforts to maintain a good team environment surrounded by sportsmanship like we always did previously. Looking forward to make a last ride as an UPL manager this season, we will make sure to write a little bit more the legacy of this firm.

Teaming up with none other than Catalystic as my co-manager for this year’s Ubers Premier League. Dude’s been cooking in AG and OMs for years, and he's no stranger to Ubers either — past Team Tour vet, knows the tier, knows the vibes. You already know we’re about to build a cracked squad together.
