Rules
  • Follow all rules listed here.​
  • Schedule via Smogon VMs. It's easier for me to make decisions for activity calls when I can actually see what went down with scheduling.​
  • If you are unable to schedule with your opponent, please let your managers know ASAP so they can communicate that to me or the other team's managers for a potential substitute.​
  • Substitutions may be made after a week has started. When making a substitution, please tag myself, the managers of the opposing team, and all of the players affected by the substitute to ensure that everyone is made aware. Players who have already played in the week or were subbed out in the same week cannot be subbed back in.​
  • If a match remains incomplete by the time of the deadline, it will be subject to an activity call.​
  • Replays are mandatory. Not only are they useful for confirming wins, they contribute to usage stats and allow the people who couldn't watch the games live to watch them later.​
  • Managers: Please send me your lineups in the same format that I used to post pairings. It makes it much easier to post future rounds more quickly.​

To the Durians: A Summer UPL Debut and Deepest Gratitude

Hello everyone, I’m gugu. As I put pen to paper (or fingers to keyboard) for this UPL reflection, my heart is both excited and nervous. My writing is still a bit rough, and English isn’t my strong suit—so if anything comes across awkwardly or unclear, I sincerely apologize! It’s not intentional, please bear with me! T_T

Seven weeks passed in the blink of an eye. My first UPL journey came to an end amidst laughter and unforgettable moments. Even now, it feels surreal—thanks to the trust of managers Reje and Larry, I was selected as a USM Starter at 13k. After a narrow loss to Vish in the first week, we regained our momentum in the second week, securing that satisfying win. Though the Durians fought valiantly in the following weeks, we ultimately fell short of the playoffs—leaving a tinge of regret.

First and foremost, I want to express my deepest gratitude to sanv, @ZowwyCoke, realaccountami?,and RichardMillePlain,! It was your tireless participation in weekly tests and team practice that allowed me to achieve a 6-1 record. This accomplishment belongs to all of you.

Now, with a sincere heart, I’d like to share some thoughts about my teammates and managers (in no particular order, just as they come to mind, owo):
ZowwyCafé♪: A paragon of strength, confidence, and diligence! (The memory of us grinding over 100 test games to prepare for ox04 and Ice’s ULT battle is still vivid). Playing alongside my close friend, sharing team ideas, refining Pokémon sets, joking around, and cheering each other on was the warmest part of this journey -w-. Can’t wait to see you shine in SCL soon!
* Hack: The rock of Durians! It was an honor battling alongside such a strong player in UPL. Your deep understanding of Pokémon and calm confidence taught me so much. I truly hope we can team up again next year! (Though... a slightly more affordable price would be nice ).
* xinnobu: I sincerely apologize if I added pressure after Week 6! My eagerness to win turned into misplaced intensity—I hope I didn’t hurt your feelings . You’re already better than many players! I wish you boundless confidence to match your undeniably cute charm! Good luck to us in AGPL too!
* Tbolt: Your dedication was inspiring. Whether in the BW or DPP channels, I’d always see you deep in discussion with Dave or Hack. Though the results this time were tough, please don’t be discouraged. Next year, we win it back together!
* Dave: The "rock" of Durians (experienced edition). Battling alongside someone as seasoned as you was a privilege. While some unfortunate RNG affected your run, your skill is undeniable. Wishing your child a speedy recovery!
* Reje: Our "veteran" who clocks out by 10 PM (and a noted "enthusiast" of Scarf Yveltal and Landorus? Jokes!). Thank you for your invaluable team advice and patiently reviewing our replays. Being on your team was a joy.
* Corvikafka : My friend! Though I often hear "Genshin Impact, start!" from you, let me say this: as a 3k player with limited experience, achieving a 3-2 record in ORAS is genuinely impressive! Proud of you.
* Larry: A manager who’s both incredibly strong and hilariously fun, an anime lover with an impressive figure collection. Honestly, seeing your avatar in DMs for the first time startled me . Then I saw this super cute Discord avatar and asked, "Who’s that?" only to find out it was *my* manager, Larry! That hilarious contrast between virtual and reality is unforgettable .
* Princess Autumn : Though you only play 1 week, your quiet contributions were immense—especially those creative, mind-blowing Pokémon sets!
* Ainzcrad d: If I had to name Durians' top unsung heroes, you’d be top 3! You provided a wealth of crucial advice and testing support for our SM-SV slots. Honored to have you on board!
* Metallica126: Powerful, confident, and arguably the person with the deepest passion for Pokémon here. You prepared teams and tested rigorously every single week. It was a privilege to fight alongside you.
* Lasen: Don’t let a setback define you. Keep your head up—next year, we come back stronger and win together!
* Unowndragon: Watching your RBY matches was a rollercoaster: "Noooo, don't get paralyzed!" "Agh, another crit?!" "OMG that crit saved us?!"... RBY truly is the generation of "surprises" (hax )!
