SS OU Urishifu BO

I wanted to make a team that would be consistently good showing off the dlc mons as well as finding answers to problems I will see in the future. I have seen a lot of worry about certain mons where i think i have found decent answers, to check most of the tier without relying on running a super fat team. However, because of the meta being so fresh and not being able to test extensively you should take this team as a grain of salt. I can't see it being bad, I think in terms of teambuilding is the strongest part of my play.

Urshifu @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Unseen Fist
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Close Combat
- Wicked Blow
- U-turn
- Sucker Punch

The first mon I instantly thought of was urishifu, he had to be the priority just for the simple fact he is completely new. While the other mons we have an idea as to what they do most of them just returning from old games. I have been wanting a good scarfer for the longest and think this mon could really do the trick, it has momentum, good revenge killing capability, and good stab. The 3 moves doesnt really need any explanation, how ever i chose the 4th moves just for revenge killing certain set up mons like cloyster if it has chip. I didnt think iron head, pjab, or zen was necessary because of it's surrounding members could handle those checks.

Clefable @ Leftovers
Ability: Magic Guard
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpA
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Stealth Rock
- Moonblast
- Soft-Boiled
- Thunder Wave

I am pretty sure no one should be surprised as to why i picked this mon, even with dlc mons being released I still believe this will be the best mon in the game. I can't see the steel dlc mons affecting it's usage much, especially if it's usage remained the same when melmetal was around. I need a mon that had magic guard and could blanket check a lot of things. I wanted a phys def set, to help check mons that could be a problem such as ace, tar, ect.

Mantine @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Water Absorb
EVs: 252 HP / 90 Def / 166 SpD
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Scald
- Defog
- Roost
- Haze

I have seen a lot of talk about volcarona and people thinking about running sap sipper azu with perish song to help beat volc. While I think it can be a cool tech, people have forgotten how bulky mantine as well it's ability water absorb and not being mediocre like seis was. The reason i bring up water absorb is stop all the flip turn keldeos that is going to be on the rise because they can gain momentum against there checks. This is also a great check to cinderace. I think this mon will quick rise to ou, because of it's ability to toxic mons, counter every volc set, and be a great defogger

Volcarona @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Flame Body
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Flamethrower
- Bug Buzz
- Quiver Dance
- Roost

Since volc came I definitely wanted to take advantage of it, before mantine rose in usage like i expect it will. The set is pretty generic the reason I don't run psychic for pex is because i have rillabloom for pex to be setup fodder and tar is a huge threat

Rillaboom @ Leftovers
Ability: Grassy Surge
EVs: 252 HP / 48 Atk / 176 Def / 32 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Wood Hammer
- Drain Punch
- Substitute
- Bulk Up

Since I mention this mon above, it's only fitting I talk to you about rilla bloom. The set is a standard bulk up set, but i wanted to run wood hammer over drum beating so I could 2hko unaware clef and use drain punch as my recovery

Hawlucha @ Grassy Seed
Ability: Unburden
EVs: 132 HP / 252 Atk / 124 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Acrobatics
- Close Combat
- Substitute
- Swords Dance

On a team that has rillabloom this shouldn't be much of a shocker, this is the best pokemon that abuses grassy seed and it can 6-0 teams that aren't prepared for it. It's also nice that you can't get outplayed by protects any more due to having close combat. I chose over sub, but you can make a strong argument for taunt to make hippo setup fodder.

Overall I think this team will be very solid it has some threats like any other teams the main two being

Not only is belly drum a huge threat but sap sipper is as well.

Banded tyranitar is a huge threat and 2hko the team so you have to pray.
