[OVERVIEW]
- Gargantuan Attack stat, two status-related abilities, and Normal STAB scream Facade sweeper
- Ursaring can go about it in two ways. Quick Feet Ursaring boasts good Speed alongside strong neutral coverage; however, Quick Feet Ursaring is noticeably slower and weaker than Guts Swellow
- Guts Ursaring, on the other hand, is heavily overshadowed by Zangoose, which has comparable power but also has greater Speed and priority in Quick Attack
- Ursaring does get some unique tricks, namely Fighting and Ground coverage that Swellow does not have, Earthquake to circumvent Mawile and Garbodor much easier than Zangoose can, and makes a better Swords Dance user than Zangoose thanks to Ursaring's better bulk and Speed (after a Quick Feet boost), but consider carefully if it is worth using Ursaring over either of those Facade sweepers, as it is not as specialized as them.

[SET]
name: Quick Feet
move 1: Facade
move 2: Crunch
move 3: Close Combat / Earthquake
move 4: Protect / Swords Dance
item: Toxic Orb
ability: Quick Feet
nature: Jolly
evs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe

[SET COMMENTS]
Moves
========
- Facade is the primary STAB attack, reaching a whopping 210 Base Power after being statused, which does major damage to any Pokemon that does not resist or is immune to it.
- Crunch allows Ursaring to bypass Ghost-type Pokemon which are immune to its STAB, such as Rotom and Haunter. Said Ghost-types happen to be faster opponents than Zangoose which it cannot use Quick Attack against, so being able to swat them aside gives Ursaring a notable niche.
- Ursaring wants a move to combat bulky Rock- and Steel-types with: Close Combat nails Ferroseed while giving Ursaring a good chance to 2HKO offensive Rhydon, while Earthquake smacks Mawile and gives Ursaring a way to take down Garbodor without making contact.
- Protect allows Ursaring to safely activate Toxic Orb, which can be useful if one intends to revenge kill foes with Ursaring. Outside of that, Protect is not needed as Ursaring can safely activate Toxic Orb via other means, such as double switching, revenge killing an already slower opponent, or slow U-turn / Volt Switch support.
- Swords Dance gives Ursaring a better chance to sweep the opponent, and also punishes opponents that attempt to stall out Ursaring by making switches. However, bear in mind that getting a setup opportunity isn't easy, due to Ursaring's lack of resistances and constantly dwindling health.

Set Details
========
- 252 Speed EVs alongside a Jolly nature allow Ursaring to outspeed up to base 106 Speed Pokemon, such as Pyroar and Liepard, after the Quick Feet boost
- Toxic Orb is the natural status orb of choice; while burns do not weaken Facade, Ursaring's coverage moves would be cut in power
- an Adamant nature is highly unadvised as Ursaring would fail to outspeed even base 95 Speed Pokemon such as Jynx and Primeape, at which point you'd be better off using Zangoose.
- Maximum Attack investment allows Ursaring to hit as hard as possible.

Usage Tips
========
- If Ursaring is running Protect, one can try bringing it in to revenge kill the foe by Protecting to gain Quick Feet's Speed boost and outrun them the turn after.
- Otherwise, one can have Ursaring get the Quick Feet boost by pivoting it in via a slow U-turn or Volt Switch, ensuring that it gets in safely without having to take prior damage, although double switching is a perfectly fine alternative.
- Keep in mind that Ursaring is incredibly slow before a Quick Feet boost, so having it activate Toxic Orb without taking a hit beforehand is really important.
- Ursaring should ideally sweep lategame by dropping foes one by one with its fast and powerful Facade, though it should keep an eye on its health to ensure its sweep doesn't get cut prematurely by the accumulating Toxic damage.
- Against opponents that try to stall Ursaring out by making constant switches between their Normal resists, Ursaring can use Swords Dance to punish them.
- If bulky Ghost-, Rock-, and Steel-types are present, Ursaring should try to hit them on the switch with its coverage moves to soften them up for its impending sweep.
- Ursaring should also watch out for exceptionally speedy Pokemon, particularly Pokemon faster than Pyroar, such as Tauros, Archeops, and Floatzel.
- Since Ursaring's health drops fast, it should be kept out of harm's way and avoid direct damage as much as possible. While Ursaring does have the bulk to survive most neutral hits, this is not desirable as its dwindling health means it does not last very long afterward.

Team Options
========
- Quick Feet Ursaring is primarily a lategame cleaner, so wallbreaking teammates are ideal to wear down the opposition enough for Ursaring to sweep the opponent.
- Wallbreakers that can handle or lure Rock-, Ghost-, and Steel-types go especially well with Ursaring, such examples being Shiftry, Sawk, and Magmortar.
- Entry hazard support also allows Ursaring to score KOes more often, which is important as Ursaring cannot afford to take any damage
- Mesprit and Garbodor in particular make for great partners due to their resistance to Fighting; Garbodor also has the coverage to help lure most Facade switch-ins, whereas Mesprit can adopt an unorthodox approach with Healing Wish to give Ursaring a second chance to sweep the opponent, although this is only recommended on Protect Ursaring as Ursaring would need to reactivate Toxic Orb. Toxic Spikes from Garbodor also has nice synergy with Protect Ursaring; Ursaring can Protect to activate Toxic Orb while the foe takes poison damage.
- Slow U-turn or Volt Switch support is very handy for non-Protect Ursarings to have; Baton Pass Musharna, U-turn Pelipper, and Volt Switch Lanturn work well, with the former two even resisting Fighting-type attacks as well.
- Quick Feet Ursaring can works decently in Normal/Flying spam, with its biggest niche over Zangoose being having the potential to sweep because of its higher Speed stat.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============
- Guts Ursaring's sole niche over Zangoose is Earthquake, which allows Ursaring to shatter Mawile as well as giving it slightly improved longevity as far as hitting Garbodor is concerned. However, this comes at an extremely hefty cost of lacking Speed and priority, giving it a far worse matchup against offense in general.
- Seed Bomb does major damage to Rhydon and Carracosta, though the notable difference in damage can only really be seen on the Guts set as Zangoose's Close Combat still outdamages Quick Feet Ursaring's Seed Bomb.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Bulky Rock-types**: Bulky Rhydon, Solid Rock Carracosta, and Regirock are able to easily shrug off Facade and survive the 2HKO from Close Combat while retaliating for substantial damage. Even offensive Rhydon survives the 2HKO from Earthquake.

**Gourgeist-Super**: Gourgeist-Super's immense physical bulk allows it to shrug off Crunches with ease while healing up with Synthesis. It can also pile on the residual damage on Ursaring with Leech Seed or simply take it out with Foul Play.

**Bulky Steel-types**: Mawile walls sets without Earthquake, while Ferroseed walls sets without Close Combat. Ferroseed also has the benefit of Iron Barbs causing even more residual damage to Ursaring.

**Fast Pokemon**: Exceptionally fast Pokemon, particularly those that outrun Pyroar, are able to outpace Quick Feet Ursaring and keep it in check, especially if Ursaring has used Close Combat prior. The likes of Tauros, Archeops, Floatzel, and Swellow can swiftly put a stop to Ursaring's sweep with their STAB moves, or in Floatzel's case even Focus Blast.

**Priority Attacks**: Ursaring's dwindling health means it cannot afford to take direct hits, so any damage one can sneak in there goes a long way in keeping Ursaring under control. Most STAB priority moves, such as Mach Punch from Hitmonchan and Gurdurr, Sucker Punch from Shiftry and Skuntank, and Aqua Jet from Samurott and Kabutops, can do a number on Ursaring, cutting its sweep drastically short. Fake Out from Kangaskhan is even more bothersome as it forces Ursaring to wait a turn (even if it does have Protect), accumulating additional Toxic damage.

- Ursaring does not get the best of both worlds when compared to other more specialised Facade sweepers this is fluff and is better described in the next bullet
- Quick Feet Ursaring is noticeably slower and weaker than Guts Swellow, whereas Guts Ursaring is overshadowed by Zangoose, which has comparable power but also has greater Speed and priority in Quick Attack

looks good tho !

Long story short, we as a QC team decided it's just not worth giving this mon an analysis as its pretty bad in general. Both of its usable sets have glaring flaws in them:
Quick Feet: biggest failed attempt at a "fast mon" considering after the QC boost its only right above Liepard and Pyroar, meaning it misses out on Archeops, Tauros, Floatzel, and Swellow, the premiere fast attackers of the tier.
Guts: pretty much eclipsed by Zangoose, as while Ursaring does have Earthquake to get past Mawile and Garbodor, Zangoose's greater Speed and access to Knock Off mean it is pretty much always more beneficial on a team.

I've removed the current analysis for Ursaring on site, and this is being locked and moved.
