I’m not gonna dwell on Ttar rising because I’ve said my piece on that and why I don’t expect it to last since it’s still a pretty flawed mon that’s not very splashable, but instead I want to talk about one thing




Can anyone explain THIS to me? How is a mon that’s C rank in UU suddenly joining the tier?

UU player here, legitimately zero clue. Hippos cool for rev and just being a fat rocker that can stick around but it’s terrible into most of the other relevant mons and has severe passivity issues. I’ve attempted to reduce these issues by slotting ice fang on it but skarm still gets 3 laters and sinis just sits there forever. It’s a pretty bad volt blocker because thundurus does way too much with focus blast and rotom just doesn’t care, it has 4mss between slack eq rocks ww/roar or a coverage move, and overall I feel like it’s main role was that of a sand setter that could maybe play longer games than ttar. Realistically I don’t get why it rose but considering we have a few other bad mons the ladder refuses to drop it’s likely just another case of ladder being ladder.
