Clefable is a standout utility piece, possessing a wide variety of utility options along with incredible longevity due to its immunity to entry hazards as well as Toxic from the likes of Alomomola and Toxapex through Magic Guard; this invulnerability to common forms of chip damage allows it to serve as a sturdy check to the likes of Mega Lopunny and Hisuian Samurott for many bulky offense and balance teams. Clefable is a good user of Stealth Rock due to its positive matchups versus most hazard removal options such as Great Tusk, Terapagos, and Zapdos. Thunder Wave cripples Pokemon that may try to switch in on Clefable, such as Mega Charizard Y and Mega Scizor, allowing for them to be more easily handled. Thunder Wave Clefable also pairs nicely with Hex users like Dragapult and Gholdengo. Knock Off is Clefable’s most spammable move, removing the items of key targets like Heatran, Ferrothorn, Melmetal, and Toxapex. Leftovers is the item of choice on Clefable to help it check Mega Lopunny and Dragonite in the long term while also helping it avoid a 2HKO from Great Tusk’s Headlong Rush. Leftovers also prevents the need for Clefable to waste Soft-Boiled PP in order to stay healthy. The given EV spread allows Clefable to guarantee it does not get 2HKOed by Choice Specs Dragapult after Leftovers recovery.

Clefable fits on balance and bulky offense teams, where its longevity, useful role compressionand ability to stave off physical attackers like Zamazenta and Hisuian Samurott are valuable. Pokemon like Kingambit and Terapagos appreciate Clefable checking threats like Dragonite, Mega Lopunny, and Urshifu-R and removing items from their checks such as Ferrothorn and Toxapex. Clefable also forms a terrific core with Spikes setters like Ferrothorn and Hisuian Samurott, as it sets up Stealth Rock to further the chip damage of Spikes and removes Heavy-Duty Boots from Pokemon like Zapdos and Terapagos. Although Clefable has solid longevity, its bulk is less than desirable to be a sole check to threats like Mega Medicham and Garchomp. As such, Pokemon that reinforce its defenses such as Mega Latias and Great Tusk are helpful teammates. Clefable also has issues with a myriad of Steel-types, such as Melmetal, Gholdengo, Kingambit, and Mega Scizor. Teammates that help with these threats, like Zamazenta, Zapdos, and Volcarona, are appreciated.

i dont think cm is worth without flame in current economy- so essentially it has 3 possible moves for 2 slots? i think this would be the correct way to convey that...? not entirely sure

Clefable is a standout utility piece because of the immunity to passive forms of damage such as entry hazards and Toxic Magic Guard gives along with its wide array of utility options. The hazard immunity allows Clefable to take on threats like Mega Lopunny and Samurott-H better. Clefable is a standout utility piece possessing a wide variety of utility options along with incredible longevity due to its immunity to entry hazards along with the ability to stifle Toxic from the likes of Alomomola and Toxapex through Magic Guard; this invulnerability to common forms of chip damage allow it to serve as a sturdy check to the likes of Mega Lopunny and Hisuian Samurott for many bulky offense and balance teams. sorry for the heavy makeover here, but i feel like it flowed a bit strangely and was vague at points Clefable is an apt user of Stealth Rock due to its ability to threaten positive matchup versus it doesnt really threaten terapagos and zapdos much, although it has a pretty good mu vs them most hazard removal such as Great Tusk, Terapagos, and Zapdos. Calm Mind allows Clefable to act as a wincon, giving it the ability to threaten Pokemon like Gliscor while also giving it Special Defense boosts that are helpful in dealing with special attacking variants of Dragapult, Terapagos, and Raging Bolt. cut cm so cut from here Thunder Wave cripples Pokemon that may try to switch in on Clefable, such as Mega Charizard Y and Mega Scizor, allowing for them to be more easily handled through a game. Thunder Wave Clefable also pairs nicely with Hex users like Dragapult and Gholdengo this is a good line i like it. Knock Off is Clefable’s most spammable move and most important tool in forcing progress, removing the items of key targets like Heatran, Ferrothorn, Melmetal, and Toxapex. you may want to tone back the wording a little bit here; this oversells knock's importance to clef's function good as it may be Leftovers is the item of choice on Clefable to help it check Mega Lopunny and Dragonite in the long term could also add that its less burden on ur limited sb pp while also helping it avoid 2hkos from Offensive Great Tusk and Choice Specs Dragapult. The given EV spread allows Clefable to guarantee it survives a 2hko from Choice Specs Dragapult after Leftovers recovery.

Clefable fits on Balance BO too, but the line of reasoning would be more along the lines of how it is good at keeping hazards up and staving off certain phys attackers (zama, shifu, sam come to mind) teams, where its longevity and useful role compression are valuable. Pokémon like Samurott-Hisui and Terapagos appreciate Clefable checking threats like Dragonite, Mega Lopunny, and Choice Scarf checks sd too, cb isnt that common so is fine to not rly care abt it here Urshifu-R and removing items from their checks such as Ferrothorn and Toxapex. Clefable also forms a terrific core with Spikes setters like Ferrothorn and Samurott-H, as it sets up Stealth Rock to further the chip damage of Spikes and removes Heavy-Duty Boots from Pokemon like Zapdos and Terapagos. Clefable fits on balance and bulky offense teams, where its longevity, (AC) and useful role compression and ability to along with how well it keeps up Stealth Rock and too clunky staves stave off physical attackers like Zamazenta and Hisuian Samurott are valuable.
