[SET COMMENTS]
Cresselia stands out as a strong defensive and support Pokemon, checking threats such as Keldeo and Galarian Zapdos while spreading status and supporting its teammates. Lunar Dance enables Cresselia to sacrifice itself to grant a teammate another chance to sweep and prevents Cresselia from being a momentum sink. Ice Beam allows Cresselia to super effectively hit Pokemon such as Hydrapple, Thundurus, and Donphan. Thunder Wave lets Cresselia immediately cripple foes such as Latios and Greninja. Eject Button allows Cresselia to pivot after stomaching a hit, preventing the loss of momentum while working in tandem with its great bulk. Alternatively, Leftovers enables Cresselia to more easily switch into threats like Latios and Keldeo. Tera Steel grants Cresselia a resistance to U-turn as well as enables it to hard wall Pokemon like Sand Rush Excadrill. Moreover, Cresselia maintains its Psychic resistance while also gaining a resistance to Dragon-type moves, allowing it to be a better check against Latios. Tera Fairy allows Cresselia to resist Dark-type moves from Pokemon like Weavile, Hydreigon, and Greninja. Finally, Tera Poison is a good neutral typing that enables Cresselia to be immune to Toxic while also keeping its resistance to Fighting-type moves from Pokemon like Slither Wing and Galarian Zapdos.
Cresselia best fits on offense teams that appreciate its support utility while also aiding against its weakness of general passivity. Wallbreakers like Lokix and Slither Wing appreciate Cresselia's ability to heal off chip damage and remove harmful status using Lunar Dance, enabling them to have a second opportunity to fire off attacks. Other wallbreakers such as Metagross, Hisuian Arcanine, and Heatran appreciate Cresselia's ability to slow down foes with Thunder Wave while also being able to switch into Pokemon such as Donphan and Hippowdon. Hydreigon appreciates Cresselia switching into Pokemon such as Keldeo and Latios. In return, Hydreigon provides momentum with U-turn and can deal with Pokemon like Skeledirge and Sinistcha. Cresselia appreciates Pokemon such as Skarmory and Conkeldurr sponging Knock Off from Pokemon such as Weavile and Lokix. Conversely, Cresselia can handle Pokemon such as Latios and Galarian Zapdos.
