All cups are now finished so it is now time for UU Playoffs! The rest of this post will detail all those who qualified for the playoffs stage and the breakdown of their runs! As a precursor congratulations to the following users for winning the respective cups!

As there is a tie for the 16th slot, with both players getting 9 points, this will be determined by a tiebreak between the 2 players!

This will be a best of 5 across Generations 1-8 of UU! As Heysup achieved the higher win rate of 53% vs 47%, he will get to pick the first game.

The deadline for this tiebreak is Sunday 13th October at 11:59pm gmt-4. Good luck!

do i know anything about oldgens? no. am i still going to do predicts for the sake of it? take a guess!

4. BigFatMantis vs 13. feen - bfm's picks will break feen's morale
5. Hydronics vs 12. Dawn Dreams - my goat
6. Xiri vs 11. Corperate n - my other goat
7. Bouff vs 10. robjr - heat mu
8. Pak vs 9. Real FV13 - no idea ngl

take these with a grain of salt as i might as well have coinflipped all of these to come up with predicts. go hydronics and corp :)!
 
1st time doing this in years - predicts + specific tier wins - don't play rby.

1. Estarossa (GSC, SwSh) vs 16. Heysup (ADV, DPP) - This is a funny matchup seeing how one sided each of their "main gens" are. BW/SM decider, all I know is that if Heysup gets minimally haxed we’re getting a 5 page manifesto about how the world is against him in game chat
2. Lycans (BW, SM) vs 15. Adaam (SwSh, ORAS, DPP) - 2 old-ass washed-ass uu legends in 1 of the top matchups of the week. It’s probably the most 50/50 matchup but seeing as Adaam carried me to a ribbon + he’s my son I feel like I’m obligated to pick him to win. DPP decider here with two Donny P Clefable teams
3. Amukamara (BW, ORAS, SM) vs 14. A Welcome Guest (GSC) - zero info except the cup placements for A Welcome Guest, apologies, taking Liam in 4
4. BigFatMantis (RBY, GSC) vs 13. feen (ORAS, SM, ADV) - BFM will win the tiers that shouldn’t be in the tournament but lose to some random Glalie HO Arifeen pulls together in the ADV decider. Also ban Lapras in adv wtf are we doing here adv guys
6. Xiri (BW, SM) vs 11. Corperate n (ADV, DPP, SWSH) - I'm legally obligated to pull for corp here as he was a smasher and he cooks in individuals more than team tournaments but I could see it going the other way. I see SWSH being the decider and I don't really see either player (hopefully) taking the other to RBY or GSC seeing as they're both modern players
7. Bouff (ADV, DPP) vs 10. robjr (GSC, BW, SM) - Top matchup #2 - I could see any gens going either way seeing as both of them have played every single gen (minus RBY) at a high level. Unironically see GSC being the gen that swings the series, rob will probably pull a revamped unbeatable HSA team for current meta to take it while Bouff pulls a Dawn/holly team
8. Pak (DPP, ORAS, SM) vs 9. Real FV13 (GSC) - got lazy, cade cunningham clears - pak is pak in old gens DPP->forward
