Hello all, and welcome to my second RMT! If you've seen my first one, you know I make a point of using UU teams in OU...and kicking ass. Don't ask me why, I just love doing it ^_^. Another thing I like to do is have perfext team balance, so no pokemon is quite like the other. So without further ado let us begin...
So to start off, I needed a good rapid spinner/stealth rocker that could take a hit, and is a pretty heavy hitter in it's own right. So I picked...
Donphan (F) @ Custap Berry Trait: Sturdy
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 6 Def
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Ice Shard
- Earthquake
- Stealth Rock
- Rapid Spin
What a badass. Unless the opponent's lead is a taunter/haxer/hypnosis...er, Donphan will usually get stealthy rocks up. Not only that, but any entry hazards can be spinned easily by Donphan. Earthquake destroys anything weak against it, and Donphan can usually pull off an earthquake because of it's great physical defense. Ice Shard is in the last slot, because my team is highly lacking in priority moves XD, plus grass types like to troll Donphan. Anyway, after Donphan has layed down a Stealthy-rock and given an earthquake or two, I usually bring in...
Xatu (F) @ Light Clay
Trait: Magic Mirror
EVs: 252 HP / 130 Def / 128 SDef
Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Reflect
- Light Screen
- Thunder Wave
- Psychic
Xatu, also known as "Fuck Erufunn and his crew." This can also be brought out earlier to stop a potential taunter/stealth rocker/spiker, and switch them out. I usually use thunder wave first, to halt any pokemon who might just outspeed and kill Xatu. Most people in their right mind wouldn't bring in a Ground type to a Xatu, since their silly ground moves don't work XD. Then I use Light Screen and Reflect to boost all our defenses. Psychic's there because I need an attack XD. Anyway, depending on what switches in, I have some choices to switch to then. For instance...
Hitmonlee (M) @ Liechi Berry Trait: Unburden
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Substitute
- Reversal
- Stone Edge
- Earthquake
Hitmonlee, or "Screw weather, my ass is fast." I bring this in and immediately use substitute. I continue substituting until I've nomed my Liechi berry, giving me +2 speed and +1 attack. That plus reversal, earthquake, and stone edge, is just about enough to sweep alot of the OU pokemans. So that's enough about Hitmonlee, let's get to my other physical attacker.
Slaking (M) @ Choice Scarf
Trait: Truant
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Return
- Earthquake
- Fire Punch
- Shadow Claw
Revenge killer! Almost nothing can stand up to a STAB return from this guy, and those who can are easily killed by fire punch and earthquake. Pesky ghosts are taken out by shadow claw. The only downside is that ass of an ability, traunt. Anyways, next...
Venomoth (F) @ Focus Sash
Trait: Shield Dust
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Butterfly Dance
- Bug Buzz
- Baton Pass
- Sleep Powder
The main poke on this team, Venomoth. After Xatu gets a light screen and reflect off, not much can kill this, except for maybe a stab Alakazam psychic. But even then, focus sash is there just in case something like that might happen. Why shield dust and not tinted lens you might ask? Well first off, I'd rather not have fake out making me flinch, and flinch/para hax are also unwanted. You mad Jirachi? Venomoth also noms up toxic spikes, so that's a plus. Anyway, after some butterfly dances, I will baton pass to my final and best pokemon...
Magmortar (M) @ Life Orb
Trait: Vital Spirit
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Nitro Charge
- Flamethrower
- Thunderbolt
- Focus Blast
Sweep sweep sweep sweep sweep. If Venomoth successfully baton passes some butterfly dances to Magmortar, that is all that will happen. The only pokemon that can truly resist both Flamethrower, Thunderbolt, and Focus Blast is Latios and Latias. If, unfortunately, I can't pass to Magmortar, I use Nitro Charge to boost my speed to good levels (which is why I don't use Hidden Power Ice.) I also like to call Magmortar "Fuck Breloom/Smeargle.", because what can spore do to a pokemon with vital spirit? Nothing ^_^. So anyway...start rating please :D.
