Hey there Smogon! This is my second RMT here, my first one being an OU team. After realizing how much I sucked at OU, I decided to try out literally every other tier, I found that I don't suck as much at UU. I managed to create this fairly successful team, but, like all teams, it could use some improvement.
The Team
Flygon @ Choice Scarf
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 Spd / 4 SDef
Jolly Nature
- Earthquake
- Outrage
- U-turn
- Fire Punch
Despite the many comments saying how bad Flygon is in UU, I find it to be one of the most important members of this team. The momentum provided by U-Turn is extremely crucial to this team. Flygon is also my only way of checking Pokemon such as Choice Scarf Chandelure, or Mienshao since they can go through this team quite easily if it weren't for Flygon. Earthquake is the obvious STAB move, while Outrage was chosen over Dragon Claw due to Flygon's mediocre base 100 attack. U-turn is usually what move is chosen first in order to switch into an appropriate counter. Fire Punch is rarely used, but its there, just in case.
Roserade @ Black Sludge
Trait: Natural Cure
EVs: 252 HP / 240 SDef / 16 Spd
Calm Nature
- Spikes
- Giga Drain
- Sludge Bomb
- Rest
Roserade is my answer to bulky waters in the UU tier. Since this team lacks a spin-blocker, Roserade is my best answer to the most common Rapid Spinner in the tier, Blastoise. The worst Blastoise can do is Scald and hope for a burn, or Roar me out while Roserade can either attack or lay down some Spikes. Giga Drain and Sludge Bomb are obvious STAB moves while Rest is used alongside Natural Cure for the benefit of healing Roserade's HP completely.
Kingdra @ Choice Specs
Trait: Swift Swim
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 SAtk / 4 SDef
Modest Nature
- Draco Meteor
- Hydro Pump
- Dragon Pulse
- Hidden Power [Electric]
Jesus Christ, this thing is beautiful. Two dragon might seem overboard, but they have two completely different objectives. The sheer power of Kingdra's Draco Meteor is just amazing. Slowbro, a common switch in to Kingdra, is KO'd after Stealth Rock. The only thing that walls this Kingdra is Empoleon, which is 2HKO'd with Hidden Power Electric. This is also my most common switch in to Chandelure, even though Shadow Ball 2HKO's.
Hitmontop (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Intimidate
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 Spd
Impish Nature
- Rapid Spin
- Toxic
- Sucker Punch
- Close Combat
Hitmontop is the most reliable spinner for this team. It was chosen over Blastoise in order to help against CurseLax, probably the biggest threat to this team. It also provides Rapid Spin support for Victini, who is prone to every field hazard available. This thing is also the most reliable switch in to Weavile. Sucker Punch provides help against non-substitute Chandelure, while Toxic hits Cofagrigus thinking to block rapid spin on the switch.
Gligar @ Eviolite
Trait: Immunity
EVs: 252 Def / 252 HP / 4 Atk
Impish Nature
- Earthquake
- Roost
- Stealth Rock
- Toxic
UU is a tier filled completely with fighting types. Literally every team has at least one Fighting type in them, and Gligar can wall every single one, except Hidden Power Ice Mienshao. Gligar is extremely hard to take down due to Eviolite and its ability which prevents poison. It also provides much needed Stealth Rocks for this team. Earthquake is there so it isn't complete Taunt bait, and helps me against Arcanine.
Victini @ Choice Band
Trait: Victory Star
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 Atk / 4 SDef
Jolly Nature
- V-create
- U-turn
- Bolt Strike
- Zen Headbutt
Victini was the last pokemon added to this team. I chose Victini in order to form the Grass/Water/Fire core which has been very helpful so far. This thing hits EXTREMELY hard with Choice Band. There are literally no safe switch ins besides Flash Fire Pokemon and Kingdra. U-turn also helps with momentum while Bolt Strike helps me with bulky water. Zen Headbutt is there for STAB and lack of another option.

Threat List:
CurseLax is probably the most dangerous threat to this team. Literally the only thing I have against it is Hitmontop, which weakens it and allows another teammate to come in and revenge kill.
Choice Scarf Chandelure- I honestly only have Flygon who can kill it. Kingdra can't switch in to Shadow Ball, but otherwise can revenge kill it.
Mienshao- I have trouble with Hidden Power Ice variants, but it isn't that big of a threat to be honest.
So, this was my team. Thank you for taking the time to read this. I really appreciate it.
