Lopunny (F) @ Starf Berry
Ability: Cute Charm
EVs: 252 HP/4 Def/252 Spd
Jolly nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Substitute
- Thunder Wave
- Baton Pass
- Encore
A great opener, messes many things up, and is good since it allows me to pass subs to my other pokemon. Quite useful.
I went with Starf berry cuz it makes things more fun, and (F) since it has cute charm anyways. Lead aerodactyls annoy me if they use taunt first, which they in theory should do, as Lopunny's main abilities are to mess around using it's great moves.
Kangaskhan (F) @ Leftovers
Ability: Scrappy
EVs: 212 HP/188 Atk/54 Def/56 Spd
Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Substitute
- Sucker Punch
- Focus Punch
- Return
A Sub puncher on my Sub team. Surprising! Anyways. I choose to go for more attack and bulkiness, but I might change back to a bit speedier. I rather like being able to actually do respectable damage, though.
Vileplume (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Chlorophyll
EVs: 244 HP/136 Def/128 SDef
Sassy nature (+SDef, -Spd)
- Substitute
- Leech Seed
- Sludge Bomb
- Stun Spore
3 in a row makes it lucky. Leech seed + sub, sludge deals with most grass fairly respectably, and Stun Spore is a bit more status.
Claydol @ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP/144 Def/114 SAtk
Bold nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Rapid Spin
- Stealth Rock
- Earth Power
- Ice Beam / Toxic
This thing deals with steelix, since it would otherwise roar me away a lot. It only manages 66%ish at least when I used it earth power on it, but a 2HKO is still good. Steelix can only roar this guy away, otherwise, this guy dominates him. Toxic is nice since I only have paralysis on my team otherwise. I also have tried Trick Room instead of toxic, and it helps parts of my team out.. but I can't stand using only slow pokemon, so I decided to go for toxic.
Camerupt (M) @ Choice Specs
Ability: Solid Rock
EVs: 4 HP/252 Atk/252 SAtk
Quiet nature (+SAtk, -Spd)
- Earth Power
- Fire Blast
- Explosion
- Hidden Power [Ice]
The guy that went best with Trick Room, and he is also naturally faster than Steelix. Does lots of damage to most things, and I can explode if I like.
Scyther (F) @ Life Orb
Ability: Technician
EVs: 252 Atk/252 Spd/4 Hp
Jolly nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Swords Dance
- Aerial Ace
- X-Scissor
- Brick Break
My sweeper. With a sub, it makes it easier ot set up. Scyther has RESPECTABLE defenses, but they aren't great, especially with no evs.
Overall, although I just started using it, it's worked fairly well. The only way I can deal with sweepers is to encore them or status them, but at least my bunny is pretty fast. Even though 3 of my pokemon are weak to fighting, Claydol deals with them nicely, resisting both Rock and immune to ground, and resists fighting. I do have a weakness to water aswell, but vileplume can paralyze and somewhat deal with them, with it's respectable defense, leech seed, and subs.
Altaria did well against my team it seems. Camerupt just gets ko'ed by earthquake, while others get owned fairly easily. And my bunny is slower after DD. Maybe I should replace Claydol's Toxic with an ice attack..
So please suggest things to make my team better, but keep in mind, it has to stay a sub team, as that's what it is. :P
Also point out any threats I haven't noticed yet. It's a very new team, and I don't know what will rip through it yet :P
