UU Sunburnt Ranked 250

Ironically this team was built out of a frustration of fighting almost purely weather teams in OU. I moved to UU to escape weather but when I tried it for myself I realized how powerful it could be. UU has a bunch of sweepers who benefit from sun so I just needed to find a way to get it to them without Drought.

So without further ado...

Uxie @ Heat Rock
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SDef
Impish Nature (+Def, -SAtk)
- Sunny Day
- U-turn
- Yawn
- Heal Bell

My lead in 90% of situations. I use heat rock and sunny day to try and get the maximum amount of turns for sun to be up. Yawn allows me to force switches getting a free turn to set up sunny day or just puts something to sleep. U-turn allows me to get switch advantage and bring in one of my sweepers after the sun has been set up. Heal bell is more of a filler but is a saving grace when I get to use it. Toxic cress or paralyzed Darmanitan? Heal bell it away.

Victini @ Choice Scarf
Trait: Victory Star
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spd
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- V-create
- Fusion Bolt
- Zen Headbutt
- U-turn

One of my first sweepers but also the most replaceable. Scarf Victini is a very useful pokemon because of its diverse move pool. U-turn allows me to scout using my choice scarf. V-create is the most powerful move in the game and under the sun it destroys everything. Fusion bolt gives good coverage and I use zen headbutt for additional stab.

Darmanitan (M) @ Choice Scarf
Trait: Sheer Force
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spd
Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Flare Blitz
- Rock Slide
- Earthquake
- U-turn

My second and most vital sweeper. Stab flare blitz with sheer force under the sun coupled with Darmanitan's high attack is just unfair. I hardly ever have to use another move because it works so well. Rockslide and Earthquake offer great coverage and U-turn allows for scouting.

Sawsbuck-Sum (Sawsbuck-Summer) (M) @ Life Orb
Trait: Chlorophyll
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Horn Leech
- Nature Power
- Frustration
- Swords Dance

If Darmanitan were not so good Sawsbuck would get more playing time. SD sweeper with chlorophyll that covers my water ground and rock weaknesses? Yes please. Horn Leech is a powerful move and heals damage from life orb. Nature power is earthquake on wi-fi and who doesn't love earthquake? Frustration gives a powerful stab and SD allows me to set up on switches and sweet most of the team.

Donphan (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Sturdy
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 Def
Impish Nature (+Def, -SAtk)
- Stealth Rock
- Rapid Spin
- Earthquake
- Ice Shard

My physical wall. Most everyone knows the standard set, but if it ain't broke don't fix it. Stealth Rock's for the best hazard in the game. Rapid spin because of my two sweepers weak to rocks. EQ for stab and Ice shard for priority and to hit flygon hard.

Cresselia (F) @ Heat Rock
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SDef
Calm Nature (+SDef, -Atk)
- Psychic
- Hidden Power [Fire]
- Sunny Day
- Moonlight

Cress is my special wall and another poke to set up the sun. I use Psychic and Hidden power for some offense. Sunny day and Heat rock to set up the sun once it fades from Uxie and moonlight for 75% health recovery in sun for longevity.

I know it is unconventional to use 2 scarfers on the same team but I think it works well. V-Create and Flare Blitz have so much power under the sun that I think using choice band on either would be wasted. Choice scarf allows me to hit hard and fast because normally I am using just one move anyway. Sawsbuck gives me variety and knocks out the pokes who would resist my powerful fire moves.

I would consider victini my weak link if there really was one. While V-create is powerful the speed drop prevents me from truly sweeping with it and typically is used only once or not at all during the match.

The only poke I really fear is Arcanine. Having one come in on a choiced fire move, get the flash fire bonus and then hit back one of my pokes under the sun with its own flare blitz hurts like a motherfu-ker. I have no true counter to it since Donphan cant take that powerful of a hit. I typically have to sac one or two pokes or wait for the sun to wear out.

Any help is appreciated and if I can find pictures I will add them since everyone loves pictures.

Hey, this team looks pretty cool. I've got a few suggestions that might improve it though.

I know that the power of V-Create / Flare Blitz in the sun is amazing, but that doesn't mean you have to use 2 Choice Scarf Pokemon. Don't get me wrong, there's nothing wrong with more than one Choice Scarf Pokemon, but when you're on a timer from the sun, then being locked into one move isn't the best idea. I suggest changing Victini to a life orb variant.

Victini @ Life Orb Trait: Victory Star
EVs: 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Naive / Timid Nature
- Psychic
- Grass Knot
- Focus Blast
- V-create / Fire Blast

With the freedom to switch attacks and its broader special movepool, Special Victini can tear through the things that counter Scarf variants, like Rhyperior. It won't be as fast, but it'll be very hard to take down with the extra power from Life Orb and the freedom to switch attacks. You still have Darmanitan to outspeed faster opponents, too. This Victini will also be a big surprise for Hippopotas, which will love switching into V-Create and getting rid of sun. With the little hippo out of the way, you should have an easier time sweeping.

Hope I helped

Locked under rule 3. Expand some Pokemon's descriptions and I'll re-open this. PM me your fixes please.
