My BL/OU Team
At A Glance
Introduction
Hello all, and welcome to my newest RMT! For those that know me, you'll know that most of my teams comprise of UU/BL pokemon, which I attempt to use in OU, and usually kick ass with. This might be one of my better teams, as I've peaked #1 on PBC BL with it, which is an accomplishment to me. Another thing you'll see in most of my teams is Team Type Synergy. No two pokemon on my team are alike, I hate having two pokemon of the same type on my team. Anyway, without further ado, let us start.
A Closer Look
Donfem (Donphan) (M) @ Red Card
Trait: Sturdy
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 Def
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Stealth Rock
- Earthquake
- Rapid Spin
- Ice Shard
Best. Lead. Evar. This guy is just great at setting up rocks, and spinning as well. Not to mention he's pretty damn powerful as well. For the pokemon who think they can set up on Donphan....think again. Sturdy and red card is a great combination, switching out pokemon who think they can set up and attack Donphan. Honestly, red card is better than custap berry. Ice Shard for pesky flying types, notably ninjask. Anyway, next.
Gatorade (Roserade) (M) @ Choice Scarf
Trait: Natural Cure
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Sludge Bomb
- Leaf Storm
- Extrasensory
- Hidden Power [Fire]
In my opinion, other than Chandelure, the best Scarfed Special Attacker ever. Most people would expect a toxic spikes moveset, but with that special attack, who needs it? Leaf Storm pretty much destroys any sort of water type, OHKOing Vaporeon, Burungeru, and occasionally Milotic, it's pretty darn powerful. Sludge Bomb kills most grass types. Extrasensory....it's ok. It kills certain poison types and fighting types, but it fails to KO when I need it to. Hidden Power fire is pretty much just for Nattorei, it's that hard to kill. This guy is a great counter to Breloom, whenever Breloom decides to spore one of my pokemans, bam! In comes Roserade, who doesn't care about +2 Technician Breloom's Mach Punches. Not only that, but Natural Cure takes care of occasional paralysis, which is fantastic. Next.
Femturn (Lanturn) @ Air Balloon
Trait: Volt Absorb
EVs: 36 HP / 216 Def / 200 SAtk / 56 Spd
Calm Nature (+SDef, -Atk)
- Charge Beam
- Scald
- Thunder Wave
- Ice Beam
Lanturn you bulky bastard, what would I do without you? Lanturn can take all sorts of abuse and live. Air Balloon over leftovers just for trolling sand teams, it's muchas fun. Lanturn pretty much says "Fuck you" to Genosect, Zapdos, Nidoking, etc. Very handy pokemon. Thunder wave for slowing down sweepers or scarfers, charge beam to up special attack (might replace with Discharge), Scald for lolburns and ground types, and Ice Beam for flying types, dragons, and Gliscor. Next.
Femsharp (Bisharp) (M) @ Life Orb
Trait: Defiant
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 Def
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Sucker Punch
- Swords Dance
- Iron Head
- Brick Break
Sucker PAWNCH. Bisharp might be one of the best Sucker Punchers in my opinion, just because it's so ridiculously powerful. It's types helps too. After a swords dance or too, sucker punch pretty much annihilates EVERYTHING including Pokemon that resist it. If I remember correctly, Gliscor is 2KO'd after one swords dance, and after two, Tyranitar is OHKO'd. That's some powerful stuffs. Iron Head is for when pokemans don't want to attack, and brick break is for steels. Next.
Femacross (Heracross) (M) @ Choice Scarf
Trait: Moxie
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Close Combat
- Megahorn
- Stone Edge
- Earthquake
My other scarfed sweeper, Heracross. I'm thinking about changing to a jolly nature, since the amazing ability Moxie increases attack anyway. Anyway, this pokemon was great before, but now that it got Moxie, it's outstanding. It pretty much operates as a late game sweeper, as it tears apart teams that don't resist the move I choose. Close Combat and Megahorn for stab, Stone Edge for flyers, and Earthquake because Earthquake is awesome. It's epic typing also protects it from Noobmole. Next.
Swellbro (Swellow) (F) @ Flame Orb
Trait: Guts
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spd
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- U-turn
- Brave Bird
- Facade
- Quick Attack
Swellow. Such greatness. With it's handy typing, ghost types with will o wisp are fucked. Quick Attack for revenge killing, facade because Facade is just so damn powerful, brave bird if Facade will fail, and U-Turn to GTFO when steels and rocks are around.
Conclusion
Anyways, you have now seen my team, so there's not really much more to say than RATE RATE RATE.
Threat List
Hazards. If Donphan dies and hazards are on the field, that's a problem.
Scizor: Seeing as I have no real fire type, if Donphan, Bisharp and Lanturn die, Bon Voyage rest of team.
HEATRAN: Heatran you bastard. Roserade can't do shit, Bisharp can't do shit unless it's magically faster, Swellow can't do shit, Donphan can't do shit unless Heatran is balloonless, and Heracross can do something, but only if Heatran's sub is gone.
Steel Types in general: They just love trolling my team with their ridiculous typing.
Fucking Rain Teams : Goddamnit, get some goshdarn skill rain noobs. Kingdra kills everything, Ludicolo kills everything, Omastar kills everything.
Zapdos: It's just too bulky for all of my team. The only one who can really stop it is Lanturn, but if Zapdos has Toxic....
Roobushin: The main problem with this is that if Roserade can't kill it with Extrasensory, everything else is fucked.
