UU team to rate!

Uhh hello, this is my first time doing RMT. Not using this in standard environment, only for other UU teams.

Altaria @ Leftovers w/ Natural Cure
Nature: Adamant
EVs: 72 HP/ 252 Att/ 184 Speed
-Dragon Claw
-Dragon Dance
-Earthquake
-Roost
Leadoff means free Dragon Dance on a switch. I haven't seen much leadoffs that will battle against this except Clefable. I usually see a switch to Blastoise, which then I have Meganium.

Lanturn @ Leftovers w/ Volt Absorb
Nature: Calm
EVs: 40 HP/ 36 Speed/ 192 SA/ 240 SpD
-Thundebolt
-Surf
-Ice Beam
-Thunder Wave?
The first time I used this pokemon it was MVP. Now it's good but not great. It'll survive some hits and the thing I'm lacking is a good recovery move.

Meganium @ Leftovers w/ Overgrow
Nature: Bold
EVs: 216 HP/ 148 Def/ 144 SA
-Energy Ball
-Aromatherapy
-Light Screen
-Synthesis
This thing seems to never faint and I'm thinking about taking out some SA EVs for SpD to make it even more of a wall. I'm not thinking of taking this pokemon out at any time at all.

237.png

Hitmontop @ Life Orb w/ Technician
Nature: Adamant
EVs: 252 HP/ 252 Att/ 4 Speed
-Bullet Punch
-Mach Punch
-Close Combat
-Fake Out
I can not say how many games this thing has came through in the clutch for me. (clutch-coming from behind in late game) I hate switching to this current MVP early in the game (so I'm probably going to need advice on those situations) because Life Orb seems to kill me.

344.png

Claydol @ Leftovers w/ Levitate
Nature: Relaxed
EVs: 252 HP/ 136 Def/ 120 SA
-Earth Power
-Ice Beam
-Stealth Rock
-Rapid Spin?
I find myself not having to spin away anything almost every game because there's nothing to spin away! And when I can, I can never find the time to. This also doesn't seem to survive alot of hits.

123-m.png

Scyther @ Choice Band w/ Technician
Nature: Adamant
EVs: 4 HP/ 252 Att/ 252 Speed
-Aerial Ace
-U-Turn
-Brick Break?
-Quick Attack
The newest player to my team. I haven't had much experience with him but I do seem to find myself dying to stealth rock because I haven't found a time to spin them away with Claydol. What I'm thinking to to have him leadoff and change him to SD instead of CB. Which will probably make me have to let go of Altaria. If I do so, help with a replacement for Altaria?

Questions? Comments? Sugestions? RATES??

Ok I'm not so good with UU so I will try :) I'm Abmaru btw you have a 4 Pokemon that are weak to Ice so I guess FrosslASS would get into you isn't Scyther a BL poke now? I would say JumpLuff for starter a good support memeber Scyther is good but support couldnt hurt if your staying with him don't use Band use Sword Dance over anything if anything go with Poliwrath this should be fine

EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 6 Spd
Adamant Nature
Ability: Water Absorb
-Focus Punch
-Waterfall/Ice Punch
-Substitute
-Hypnosis

Hope I helped you and not looked like a idiot :)

Swellow will give you trouble because nothing can take Guts Facade. The only way to stop it is to revenge kill with Hitmontop and maybe QA from Scyther. Hitmontop is stopped by Rotom, Claydol, Mantine (heavy investment in Def, and no SRocks out), all of which are common or fairly common. You will need a Normal resist so CB normals don't rape you. Anything will do since they all resist Facade, Brave Bird, and take minimal damage from U-turn. You can drop Altaria for said normal resist.

Meganium wants HP Ice so opposing Altaria don't beat you into the ground with late game DD heroics. Also so the likes of Nidoking, Nidoqueen, Toxicroak, Swellow, Drifblim, etc can come in freely and potentially hurt you.

CB Scyther wants Night Slash or Pursuit so Rotom and his ghostly friends (mainly Rotom) doesn't stop you outright and risk getting one of your other pokemon burned or KO'd by the subsequent attack.

You can try LO on Altaria for more damage since you can roost it off.

Hope this helps

Instead of those EVs on Altaria, how about going for Careful nature with 252 EVs in sp. def and the rest in HP? It would allow you to wall Blastoise or in fact, anything that uses special attacks and isn't Steel/Poison, if you had a way of putting Toxic on them. How about Toxic/DC/EQ/Roost with the aforementioned EVs? You'll be able to wall most things of what you can't faint, and you can still have some decent offense if you put a Life Orb on it (the damage can be healed with Roost).

The Lanturn is ok I guess.

As for Meganium, replace Energy Ball with Giga Drain and put Leech Seed in place of Synthesis. The power drop from EB is not significant since it is replaced with Leech Seed. Giga Drain will also help a lot with stalling. Otherwise it's fine. I don't really think the HP Ice thing is a good idea... those Pokes will KO you and there's little to nothing you can do about it, that's why you switch :)

Hitmontop... meh, I guess. I'm not very good on him. I'd move him to the front so Altaria and Scyther can wait in the back.

Claydol in this team won't do you much good. I'd change him for Purugly/Persian with Fake Out, U-Turn, Hypnosis and Return. 252/252 Attack/Speed and take the Adamant nature.

Garchomp's Brother looks fine.

Overall, this is a pretty much bog-standard team, and so you should expect your enemies to be well prepared to deal with it.

Potentially giving them a free turn to set-up ...

I personally favour Vileplume over Meganium, however as the OP really doesn't want to change it I'll just re-post something I posted in another RMT about Hidden Power and Meganium ...

HP Ice: covers Flying, Grass, Dragon
HP Rock: covers Flying, Bug, Fire
HP Ground: covers Fire, Poison

All are worth considering ...

The problem Meganium has is that without some sort of Hidden Power it offers so many free switch ins to several of the metagames deadliest pokemon Swellow, Scyther, Venomoth, Nidoking, Toxicroak, Ninetales, Rapidash, Leafeon, Altaria etc.

Of course you can't cover all of these threats with a single Hidden Power but it really is worth considering if you're set on using Meganium.
