UU-The Power of the Choiced Core

This is my first RMT so I apologize if this isn't perfect. Now that that
is over with, let's move on to the actual team :). The team is currently
at a rate of 1752 at around 30-40 battles. I've done a few tweaks here
and there and this is what I've got right now.

Heracross @ Choice Scarf
Trait: Moxie
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 Spd / 4 HP
Adamant Nature
- Close Combat
- Megahorn
- Stone Edge
- Earthquake

Arguably the best physical attacker in UU at the moment, Choice Scarf Moxiecross is nothing to mess around with. Early to mid game it is able to hit things for nice damage here and there, but is easily able to do some clean up sweeping late game. The few checks and counters that Heracross has in the UU tier are remedied by it's teammates, namely Kingdra and Roserade. Heracross also grants the team with a fast revenge killer, which the team lacks otherwise.

230.gif

Kingdra @ Choice Specs
Trait: Swift Swim
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 SAtk / 4 SDef
Modest Nature
- Draco Meteor
- Hydro Pump
- Ice Beam
- Hidden Power [Fighting]

Choice Specs Kingdra is the definition of sheer power, it's able to OHKO almost anything that doesn't resist it's dual STAB which is fairly un-resisted throughout the current metagame. It is able to take care of almost all of Heracross's counters as well. It clean OHKO's Gligar, and can one shot Cofagrigus and Dusclops after Stealth Rocks. It can also switch in on Victini and can easily OHKO or do heavy damage to anything that switches in. In return, Heracross can also take can of many of Kingdra's common checks and counters, namely Snorlax and Porygon2. As for the moves, its dual STAB in Draco and Hydro Pump usually is all it needs, but HP Fighting can be helpful if I can predict the switch to Empoleon, but overall HP Fighting and Ice Beam are rarely used.

237.gif

Hitmontop (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Intimidate
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 Def
Impish Nature
- Close Combat
- Stone Edge
- Rapid Spin
- Toxic

Although another fighting type may seem redundant, Hitmontop greatly increases the survivability of the choiced core by spinning away those pesky hazards and abusing Intimidate and allowing the offensive core to switch in more easily on weakened physical attackers. The offensive core also always appreciates the extra damage via Toxic. Hitmontop is also the team's only way of dealing with choiced physical attackers such as opposing Heracross due to the great ability in Intimidate. Overall, besides spinning away hazards, this guy's job is simply to improve to survivability of the offensive core, which it does very well and can score some damage via Close Combat or Stone Edge.

407.gif

Roserade @ Life Orb
Trait: Natural Cure
EVs: 252 SAtk / 4 SDef / 252 Spd
Modest Nature
- Leaf Storm
- Sludge Bomb
- Synthesis
- Hidden Power [Fire]

Although there are a few mons that can wall the duo of Kingdra and Heracross, such as Suicune, Milotic and some Swampert, they are easily taken down by Roserade. It can easily come in on a +1 SpD Suicune and OHKO with Leaf Storm. On top of this, it flat out one shots Milotic and Swampert with its insanely powerful STAB Leaf Storm. It is also the only offensive mon on this team with a recovery move, which greatly increases its survivability. On top of all this, Roserade can come in on a Nidoqueen, remove Toxic Spikes due to its Poison typing, and OHKO after Stealth Rock damage with Leaf Storm if the Nidoqueen is running 252 HP/4 SpD

464.gif

Rhyperior @ Leftovers
Trait: Solid Rock
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 HP / 4 SDef
Adamant Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Stone Edge
- Earthquake
- Megahorn

The team lacked a bulky sweeper, but Rhyperior is just the guy for the job. It's main job is to set up the oh so important Stealth Rock, but once that is done, Rhyperior can do heavy damage to anything that doesn't resist it's STAB EdgeQuake coverage and can take down Psychics with Megahorn. Rhyperior also can patch the team's weakness to Flying types, mainly Crobat and Togekiss, but fails to check offensive Zapdos that carry HP Grass. Other than Zapdos, Rhyperior checks Flying types very well, which this team is generally weak to.

143.gif

Snorlax @ Leftovers
Trait: Thick Fat
EVs: 252 SDef / 252 HP / 4 Atk
Careful Nature
- Body Slam
- Rest
- Sleep Talk
- Whirlwind

Snorlax rounds out the bunch, providing THE best special wall in the UU tier. Whirlwind can come in a lot of handy by coming in on large threats to the offensive core and Whirlwinding them away, allowing some extra damage on the via Rhyperior's Stealth Rock and possibley taking them down to a range where one of the other mons can come in and finish said threat off. The paralysis chance from Body Slam is also greatly appreciated, as this team is a little on the slow side, bar Heracross. Also, the team lacks recovery, so Snorlax is taking hits constantly, which is possible due to its incredible special bulk.

Some downsides to the team:
-It is hard to keep offensive momentum due to the lack of U-Turn and or Volt Switch
-If Kingdra faints, then the team has some trouble with Ghost types, but this is possible to play around (not easy, but possible)
-Previously mentioned, the team is a little on the slow side

And anyone know how to put moving sprites in the post? Thanks in advance!

Hey nice team, got some solid stuff on it. Here are some things I think may help improve it:

I disagree with you, Heracross has lost a lot of favor in the tier. This really comes down to the fact that it once was so good, now teams are almost over prepared for it. Mienshao however is definitely on the rise, and I find it a far superior Scarf user. Its pretty much the fastest common scarfer in the tier, its a rare sight to see anything faster than it with a Scarf. This gives it a huge advantage in being able to beat almost every other scarfer in UU.
Set:
Mienshao @ Choice Scarf
Trait: Reckless
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 Spd / 4 SDef
Jolly Nature
- Hi Jump Kick
- Stone Edge
- Aerial Ace/Drain Punch/ HP Ice
- U-Turn
Mienshao has tremendous power with Reckless boosted Hi Jump Kick, I have literally swept through teams with just that move. Thanks to Mienshao's high speed it becomes very hard to revenge kill, forcing the other player to bring in something bulky enough to take a hit. On an offensive team like yours this is a great opportunity to take down an opposing team's wall. Honestly the only downside to Mienshao over Heracross is the loss of Bug STAB and the deadly recoil HJK can sometimes cause. Regardless, I would highly recommend atleast trying Mienshao out.
----------
I honestly don't think this team needs a rapid spinner, the only entry hazard that would give it any problems at all is Spikes. On such an offensively based team wasting a turn to use Rapid Spin is a real momentum killer. I think your team would benefit a lot from getting a Spike user. the two best that I can think of are Qwilfish and Froslass. Froslass is very good at being a suicide lead, it can in most games get a kill and two layers of Spikes up. Qwilfish on the other hand is a great check to Fighting types thanks to its typing and ability Intimidate. Qwilfish takes a more defensive Spiking role, and would be able to set up more Spikes over time than compared to Froslass. Both are very viable, but I'd recommend Qwilfish so you keep an Intimidate user.
Set:
Qwilfish @Leftovers/Black Sludge
Trait: Intimidate
EVs: 252 HP / 196 Def / 60 Spe
Impish Nature
- Waterfall
- Spikes
- Pain Split/Taunt/Haze
- Taunt/Haze
----------
I think Porygon-Z is a superior Specs user. Thanks to its ability Adaptability it can fire off immensely powerful Tri Attacks with no drawbacks. Here are some calcs showing off how powerful it really is:
Tri Attack vs. 252/80 Porygon2 50.8%-59.89%
Tri Attack vs. 208/176+ Snorlax 41.33%-48.73%
Tri Attack vs. 252/252+ Umbreon 45.17%-53.29%
Tri Attack vs. 248/236+ Zapdos 60.57%-71.54%
Tri Attack vs. 252/136+ Roserade 69.75%-82.71%
Tri Attack vs. 248/176+ Slowking 53.94%-63.61%
All the top tier Specially Defensive walls of the tier are 2HKOed by Tri Attack after Stealth Rock damage. This means that pretty much everything else will get straight up OHKOed. It does lack the handly resistances Kingdra has thanks to its amazing typing however, which is the only real drawback I can think of for using it.
Set:
Porygon-Z @ Choice Specs
Trait: Adaptability
EVs: 252 SAtk / 252 Spd / 4 HP
Modest Nature
- Tri Attack
- Dark Pulse
- HP Fighting
- Trick
----------
Alright that's all, hope this was helpful and good luck!

Alright that's all, hope this was helpful and good luck!
Thanks for the feedback!
-I'm going to give the Mienshao a try, because this team actually has some trouble with Scarf Flygon which outspeeds Heracross, and Mienshao does outspeed so I'm sure that will eliminate a huge threat in Flygon
-I agree and disagree on removing Hitmontop, although my team isn't particularly weak to entry hazards, I find myself switching a lot so I feel like having a spinner is nice. But using Qwilfish doesn't seem like a bad idea either, because the extra hazards will be nice without losing the helpful Intimidate ability. I'll give Qwilfish a try, if anything I can just switch back to Hitmontop if I feel it would be more useful
-The main reason I use Kingdra is for the great dual STAB and the ability to switch into a lot of things thanks to it's typing and it comes in handy a lot. I do agree that Porygon-Z can hit things harder than Kingdra, but I feel like Kingdra is more handy than P-Z, because I actually thought about it when I was making the team :]

-And also I found your comment on Heracross very interesting, I never really thought about it that way but when I think about it, teams often do over prepare for Heracross due to it's wide usage.

Anyway, thanks for the suggestions, I'm hopeful that this will help my team reach its true potential :]

Hey no problem very happy to help!

I'm pretty confident you'll end up liking Mienshao a lot, I sure do. You just always have to be wary of Ghost types and Protect users like Umbreon, as they're pretty much the only things that can stop the HJK spam.

And fair enough for Hitmontop and Kingdra, I understand your reasoning. I would definitely atleast try out Qwilfish, to be honest it may not be a good fit for the team but you'll never know until you try.

If you have any other questions feel free to ask them, I'll be sure to get back to you on anything.

After a few hours of testing out the changes, I've found that Mienshao is superior to my old Heracross in almost every situation I've run into so far. Qwilfish and Hitmontop is really split even imo. With Qwil I get more hazards, so switching on my part isn't as need as before, but when I DO switch, I start taking enough damage to put my mons in a range of health where they can be revenge killed by opposing scarfers, and my Mienshao can't switch in to take a hit because of its fragility. I'm going to test some more when I get the chance, but as for now I feel like Qwilfish may be a tiny bit more useful than Hitmontop, due to its good typing and it also removes a Flying weakness, which was much needed
