Hello UU community!!! We are presenting the very first, inaugural, super-epic UUBD this summer season! In this thread, you are able to sign up as a manager to lead teams in this tournament. You might ask “How does UUBD work?” To which I will respond with the general format of the tour in the below spoiler

  • Like UUPL, UUBD is an auction based tour where managers will bid on players using a select amount of credits to get them for your team
  • What separates this from other auction based tours is a “blind element.” Here, each time a player is nominated, managers cannot see the other bids placed by opposing managers for the player, rather they must “blindly” put up the value for the player they are willing to purchase without the pressure of upbids
  • After the allotted bidding period is up, the results will be shown, and whoever bids the highest value will be granted the player. In the event of a tie in credit values bid, whoever placed their bid first will get the player

There will be 8 pairs of managers selected for this tour. In a singular post, please type in the names of the managers of the selected team as well as your team name. Please use the below format

One manager is allowed to retain themselves for a flat value of 15k credits; there will be 150k credits total with 12 starters + 3 required substitutes for a 15 player minimum requirement. The tiers in this tour are

The manager selection process is, for the most part, subjective. However, users who have shown strong involvement in UU and have no active or recent punishments will be favored over users who meet neither of these conditions. Manager signups will be open from now until June 16th where the UU tournament planning team will select the 8 managing pairs for this tour. Good luck!

Why should you be picked as a manager for this tour?: i have played in every uu team tournament since snake 2 years ago and have done decently well support side in sv the entire generation + am in wcop currently - exp managing is a bit low but i am still a very committed and active player. autumn has been around for ages

Why should you be picked as a manager for this tour?: me and aly have both been active in uu for a very long time now - we have a lot of experience between almost every uu generation. we've made playoffs for both uupl and uu snake last year, she's won a million things in uu including uu open, i've also made finals as a manager before in uu snake.
What is your favorite fruit?: been on a blueberry craze lately

Why should you be picked as a manager for this tour?: We're both UU boomers, we both know a good amount about a lot of uu gens and know the playerbase quite well. I've managed a few UU tours by this point and KT has played in a ton.

Why should you be picked as a manager for this tour?: i have played in every uu team tournament since snake 4 years ago and have done fairly well in most of them + am in council currently - a fair amount of exp managing and i am a very committed and active player. sasha has been around in other tiers like pu and ru and have some good success in uu tours (going 2-0 in uupl, winning uupl, and also made top 8 of uu open last year), while she doesn't have as many mileage in uu teamtours as other manager/co candidates she still has a fair amount of experience in tours in general, be it managing or playing (currently managing rugl and pupl)

Why should you be picked as a manager for this tour?:
I have experience managing teamtours, having managed PUPL, PTPL, RUGL, ZUWC, NDWC, DOU Derby and BDSPPL and played UUFPL recently.
Jeza managed UU and NU world cup for france and last UUSD. He have won the last uufpl and have done final at the Spanish Pl.

What is your favorite fruit?: The beer claw (The beer claw is a pastry from usa with almond)

Why should we be picked: we’re both experienced in a lot of uu gens together and had a good uupl run with making playoffs as managers, as well as plenty of experience playing and managing various team tours and know the playerbase intimately

Why should you be picked as a manager for this tour?:
I (Miyoko) have played in many team tournaments all over the generation such as HPL II III and IV, CAPPL X, 1v1PL, HGPL, MSPL, AGWL, etc. I have played for Team India in NDWC III and IV and 1v1WC and have also managed Team India in NDWC IV and in a few discord PLs as well. I have reached Semi-finals of HPL III and IV and also 1v1WC and also reached finals of MSPL. On a hunt to win my first Team Tournament.

Rilo has started playing Smogon a year and two months ago. However in that time, he has already won a PTPL and BSSWC II. He has also been drafted for the EPL and BLT, played in several World Cups representing Brazil, and stood out in some of them.

Why should you be picked as a manager for this tour?: DugZa's managed three UU tours over the last year, one of which I managed with him, and he has secured 1 win and a finals appearance in those. We also regularly participate in UU team tours, as proof of our involvement with the tier.
