Underused Champions League is an auction-based format consistent of 8 teams playing head-to-head for 7 weeks. That means that we are initially looking for 8 managers + assistant managers. The format for this tournament will be the following:
- SV1
- SV2
- Flex 1A
- Flex 2A
- Flex 3A
- Flex 4A
- Flex 1B
- Flex 2B
- Flex 3B
- Flex 4B
The current format is, as explained:
SV1
SV2
Flex 1A
Flex 2A
Flex 3A
Flex 4A
Flex 1B
Flex 2B
Flex 3B
Flex 4B
2 Slots of SV will be played with no gimmicks involved. Flex tiers, however, are a new conceptwe stole from NU we will be introducing this tournament. An Explaination for this can be seen here as initially proposed by Malekith for WCOP. These flex tiers would play the same role as the team chosen tiers proposed on that post, with available tiers ranging from SS to RBY. So in other words, the pool of available tiers will be: SS / SM / ORAS / BW / DPP / ADV / GSC / RBY.
The way it will work is quite simple. Let's say I, Lyssa, am managing the tycoons with my friend Bouff, whereas Estarossa is managing the ladies, and we will be facing each others on the following week. The tournament will have two deadlines: one for tier picking (lets say, for example, midnight EST Saturday), and one for the lineups (11:59 PM EST Sunday). On Saturday, I PM the host with my four picks: SS, SM, ORAS and GSC, while Estarossa does the same, picking DPP, ADV, RBY and BW. Once every team has made their choice, the host will announce on the manager channel in UU cord every teams pick, which is when we will be informed of them. So, in this case, I now know Estarossa chose DPP, ADV, RBY and BW, and they know i chose SS, SM, ORAS and GSC. From there, we know our match-up will be as follow:
SV1
SV2
Flex 1A => SS
Flex 2A => SM
Flex 3A => ORAS
Flex 4A => GSC
Flex 1B = BW
Flex 2B => DPP
Flex 3B => ADV
Flex 4B => RBY
Note there's no back and forth between managers and/or hosts, nor is there a priority order for picking. Every team simply has to blind pick their tiers, and then send their respective lineups by the end of the week like usual. So once flex tiers are chosen, the tour plays out as normal, just with a dynamic tier ordering. Now, the following week we'll be playing against ASKOV managing the ASKOVillains. This time, we decide to pick SM, SS, RBY and BW, while their team picks DPP, ADV, GSC and BW. Does this mean two BW games are going to be played? Yes, it does. Reminder: the same team can't pick two of the same tiers, but the same tier can be picked twice in the same matchup. I can't chose BW two times, but i can chose BW and so can my opponent. This adds a lot of strategy and decision making for managers and teams involved. In the event of tiebreaks, they'll be played out normally, with lower seed picking first.
Since this format requires managers to communicate with the hosts twice (first for flex picks, then for lineups), we will be using two seperate deadlines for them. Exact times are TBD and will be discussed once we have our 8 manager pairs. One managers communicate to hosts their picks via PMs, the hosts will announce them on our uucl managers channel chat on discord, then managers will have until that week's deadline to send their lineups.

The hosts for this edition are goldmason, HSOWA and Nashrock. The manager selection process is, for the most part, subjective. However, users who have shown strong involvement in UU and have no active or recent punishments will be favoured over users who fail to meet the criteria.
