[OVERVIEW]
Vanilluxe differentiates itself from other Ice-type wallbreakers thanks to its great Special Attack, better Speed tier, and ability in Snow Warning, which make it a formidable wallbreaker capable of breaking past common defensive cores. Its typing is also great offensively in a tier lacking sturdy Steel-types, while its aforementioned ability allows it to support threats such as Arctovish and Alolan Sandslash. However, while its typing is great offensively, it grants it with multiple weaknesses; its below-average Speed doesn't help it either, making it prone to getting revenge killed by threats like Virizion and Charizard. Lastly, its movepool is extremely scarce, making it extremely predictable.

[SET]
name: Wallbreaker
move 1: Blizzard
move 2: Freeze-Dry
move 3: Protect / Taunt
move 4: Toxic
item: Heavy-Duty Boots
ability: Snow Warning
nature: Modest
evs: 252 SpA / 4 Def / 252 Spe

[SET COMMENTS]
With this set, Vanilluxe aims to wallbreak and annoy specially defensive walls like Gigalith it struggles against thanks to Toxic. Protect allows Vanilluxe to scout for Choice-locked threats such as Passimian and Rotom while also allowing it to further chip down foes with Toxic and hail damage. Alternatively, Taunt makes Vanilluxe more of an annoyance to walls such as Audino and Articuno. Vanilluxe appreciates partners like Lanturn and Talonflame capable of bringing it in via pivoting moves; the former can also check Fire-types like Magmortar Vanilluxe struggles against, while the latter can check Fighting-types such as Gallade. Hail sweepers like Arctovish and Alolan Sandslash appreciate Vanilluxe setting hail, and in return, they can pressure the specially defensive walls Vanilluxe has a hard time getting past. In a similar vein, Fighting-types like Toxicroak can pressure Steel-types for Vanilluxe.
