Vaporeon checks Pokemon like Sandaconda, Bruxish, and Oricorio-Baile thanks to its immense natural bulk and plethora of utility moves while keeping its teammates healthy with Wish. Haze is the preferred option on Vaporeon, shutting down setup sweepers such as Calm Mind Dudunsparce and Veluza; alternatively, Calm Mind can be used as a late-game win condition. 196 Defense EVs with a Bold nature allow Vaporeon to avoid a 2HKO from Passimian's Close Combat, Choice Band Mabosstiff's Crunch, and Bruxish's Psychic Fangs. The remaining 60 SpD EVs help Vaporeon take under 50% from both Rotom and Jolteon's Volt Switch and blank special breakers such as Choice Specs Zoroark to more effectively. Tera Dark, in conjunction with Water Absorb, helps Vaporeon wall Bruxish and Veluza's STAB moves and beat them in a one on one thanks to Haze. Tera Fairy betters its matchup into Fighting-types, Dark-types, and Coil Eelektross. Tera Steel gives Vaporeon immunities to Toxic and Toxic Spikes from Muk, adding to its longevity, as well as Grass resistance to help against Pokemon like Lurantis. Pokemon with abilities that absorb Water-type attacks, such as Toxicroak and Cacturne, are the biggest threat to Vaporeon, so Drifblim, Sandaconda, and Muk all make great partners. Grass-type Pokemon such as Appletun and Lurantis can also switch in and scare out Vaporeon, so packing a check like Scyther, Pyroar, or Oricorio-Baile is recommended.

Vaporeon is able to check Pokemon such as Sandaconda, Bruxish, and Oricorio while keeping its teammates healthy thanks to its immense natural bulk and plethora of utility moves. Haze is the prefered option on Vaporeon, shutting down set up sweepers such as Calm Mind Dudunsparce and Veluza, although Calm Mind can be used as a late game win condition. To keep Vaporeon healthy so as to check powerful breakers like Zoroark, Mabosstiff, and Haunter, Wish is mandatory, but it comes with the added benefit of helping support the rest of Vaporeon's teammates.(already mention this in the first sentence) With 196 Def EV's (to make something plural, you do not add an apostrophe + S; that is how you make something POSSESSIVE) and a Bold nature, Vaporeon is able to make the most of its massive bulk by investing in the physical side, avoiding a 2HKO from Passimian's Close Combat, Choice Band Mabosstiff's Crunch, and Bruxish's Psychic Fangs. The remaining 60 SpD help Vaporeon beat out strong special attackers that could normally threaten it, taking under half from both Rotom and Jolteon's Volt Switch, while blanketing special breakers such as Choice Specs Zoroark to greater effect.(shorten these EVs sentence pls you can say all of this in a much more concise way D:) Tera Dark, in conjunction with Water Absorb, helps Vaporeon wall both of Bruxish and Veluza's STAB moves and beat them in a one on one thanks to Haze. Vaporeon can also Terastilize into the coveted Fairy-type, bettering its matchup into the Fighting- and Dark-types and Coil Eelektross. Tera Steel can also be used to give Vaporeon immunities to Toxic and Toxic Spikes from Muk, adding to its longevity, and a resistance to Grass-type moves from Pokemon like Lurantis.

Pokemon such as Toxicroak and Cacturne with abilities that absorb Water-type attacks are the biggest threat to Vaporeon, so Pokemon such as Drifblim, Sandaconda, or Muk all make great partners. Grass-type Pokemon such as Appletun and Lurantis can also switch in and scare out Vaporeon, so packing resists checks (never use "resists" as a noun, that's not how it works) like Scyther, Pyroar, or Oricorio is recommended.
