PU Vaporeon [QC 2/2] [GP 1/1]

:vaporeon:

[OVERVIEW]
A great defensive typing, good defensive stats, and amazing utility options make Vaporeon one of the best defensive Pokemon in the PU metagame, capable of checking Pokemon such as Basculin and Talonflame. However, it's highly vulnerable to threats like Virizion and Heliolisk. The latter can also block Vaporeon from pivoting out via Flip Turn. Vaporeon is also reliant on Wish for recovery, leaving it highly exploitable at lower health. Despite these flaws, Vaporeon remains a top tier defensive Pokemon.

[SET]
name: Physically Defensive
move 1: Wish
move 2: Protect
move 3: Scald
move 4: Flip Turn / Heal Bell / Toxic
item: Leftovers
ability: Water Absorb
nature: Bold
evs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD

[SET COMMENTS]
Vaporeon's last slot is team dependent. Flip Turn allows Vaporeon to pivot out against Pokemon such as Lanturn that would otherwise come in for free, and it also lets Vaporeon safely pass Wish to a teammate. Heal Bell can be used if Vaporeon's team appreciates status being removed, and it makes it harder for Vaporeon to be crippled by Toxic. Toxic cripples Pokemon like Heliolisk and Virizion. Ice Beam is another option to hit Tsareena, Virizion, and Alolan Exeggutor.

Grass-types are major annoyances for Vaporeon, as they only have to watch out for Toxic or Ice Beam and can exploit it for free turns. Partners like Talonflame and Weezing that check these Pokemon are thus vital to have. The former can check Virizion, while the latter greatly appreciates support from Wish. Other Pokemon that appreciate Wish support, such as Silvally-Steel, Guzzlord, and Gigalith, are also good options. Guzzlord and Gigalith especially can form a good defensive core with Vaporeon. Whimsicott, Sneasel, and Choice Scarf Togedemaru can check Pokemon like Virizion, Tsareena, and opposing Whimsicott, respectively, and they appreciate being brought in for free if Vaporeon is running Flip Turn.

[OVERVIEW]
A great defensive typing, good defensive stats, and amazing utility options makes Vaporeon one of the best defensive Pokemon in the PU metagame. (give like, 2 examples of mons it checks. basculin and talonflame would be good ones) However, it's highly vulnerable to threats like Roserade, Virizion, and Heliolisk, the former of which fears almost nothing from Vaporeon, and can easily use it to set up Spikes. Vaporeon is also overreliant on Wish for recovery, leaving it highly exploitable at lower health. Despite these flaws, Vaporeon still remains a top tier defensive Pokemon.

Flip Turn also lets Vaporeon safely pass Wish to a teammate. Heal Bell can be used if Vaporeon's team appreciates status being removed. Toxic cripples Pokemon like Heliolisk and Virizion, but loses out on Roserade. Ice Beam is another option to hit Roserade, Tsareena, and Alolan Exeggutor.

the info here is all solid but i'd probably just replace some periods w/ commas to improve the flow

Roserade is a major annoyance for Vaporeon, as it only has to watch out for Ice Beam and can exploit it for free turns. Partners like Silvally-Steel and Talonflame that can check Roserade are thus vital to have. The former greatly appreciates support from Wish, while the latter can also check Virizion. Other Pokemon who appreciate Wish support, such as Guzzlord, Weezing, and Regirock, are also good options. (mention gigalith here; it checks helio and special attackers in general) Whimsicott checks Virizion, and in exchange, Vaporeon can handle Fire-types that give Whimsicott trouble. (i'd make this last part more abt offensive mons that also appreciate vaporeon's flip turn. whimsi is a good example, other stuff like sneasel and scarf rat could work too since they offensively pressure stuff vapo struggles against and appreciate being able to fall back on vapo)
