Done Venusaur QC [1/1] GP [1/1]

Venusaur @ Life Orb
Ability: Chlorophyll
Tera Type: Fire
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Growth
- Giga Drain
- Sludge Bomb
- Weather Ball

Making full use of its synergy with the sun, this flower frog fertilizes the fields of OU with its fainted foes! Venusaur is extraordinarily fast when Chlorophyll is active. This lets it outspeed various threats such as Dragapult, Booster Energy Iron Valiant, and Choice Scarf Gholdengo. After a Growth, it is capable of 2HKOing or OHKOing a large portion of the metagame, making it an even stronger late-game sweeper when coupled with the bonus Speed. Sun-boosted Weather ball provides important Fire-type coverage against Steel-types like Gholdengo, Corviknight, and Kingambit. Tera Fire adds onto this power, notably giving good odds to OHKO Galarian Slowking at +2, while also acting as a defensive option against Fire- and Ice-type moves from threats like Cinderace and Kyurem. Since Venusaur is exclusively used on sun teams, a Drought user like Torkoal or Ninetales is practically mandatory for Growth and Chlorophyll purposes. This further encourages bringing Protosynthesis users such as Great Tusk, Raging Bolt, and Walking Wake to keep up the offensive pressure. Venusaur greatly appreciates Great Tusk removing hazards and breaking through special walls it may struggle with, such as Clodsire and Blissey.

A veteran of Sun teams ever since Hidden Abilities were introduced, (would use a different hook sentence because it's implying that it's a mainstay on sun teams in previous OUs too) this flower frog fertilizes the fields of OU with its fainted foes. Venusaur is at essentially at base 160 speed when Chlorophyll is active. (elaborate, what does "being base 160 speed" actually accomplish for it or let it do in the tier?) Growth boosts both Attack and Special Attack sharply under Sunny conditions, which makes it Nasty Plot and Swords Dance all in one move. Giga Drain gives it a strong form of recovery when set up with a Growth, which forces many Pokemon to either outdamage Venusaur's healing or be able to take a hit, which is not easy with its coverage. Otherwise Venusaur will replenish its health bar. (fluff and dex info-y. would rather focus about the pokemon's niche in the tier) Sun-boosted Weather ball provides important Fire Type coverage against Steel Types like Gholdengo and Kingambit (+ corv). It also has crazy damage numbers such as a OHKO on Zamazenta after Growth. (a bit overselling it too much imo cause sludge bomb almost does similar amount of damage) Tough matchups for this Venusaur set include the usual special walls such as Clodsire, Blissey, Skeledirge, and Slowbro-Galar. Iron Moth and Ceruledge are other potential checks due to their typing. (this part feels like unfinished since it's mentioning checks but not elaborating on it further; are there teammates that can help with these matchups?) Since Venusaur's stats are too low without Sun, (there are better reasons this mon is used in sun only and its stats being low is the least of its concern) a Drought user like Torkoal or Ninetales are practically mandatory teammates. (move the sun setter mention as the first sentence on the teammate section, cause it's the most crucial partner for venu) This further encourages bringing Protosynthesis users such as Great Tusk, Raging Bolt, and Walking Wake. (elaborate on their synergy with venusaur i.e. what makes them good teammates with it, what does it do for it, etc)

(where's the tera fire line?)

this is lacking substantial amount of depth and metagame-relevant details so would like you to give it another try. let me know once this is implemented/fixed

Making full use of its synergy with the Sun, this flower frog fertilizes the fields of OU with its fainted foes! Venusaur is extraordinarily fast when Chlorophyll is active. It shares the same speed as a Jolly Dragonite after two Dragon Dances. This lets it outspeed various threats such as neutral speed Great Tusk after 2 Rapid Spins, Dragapult, Booster Energy Iron Valiant, and Scarf Gholdengo Deoxys Speed, and Tera Ogerpon. Venusaur with a +2 boost to its Special Attack After a Growth, it is capable of 2HKOing or OHKOing a large portion of the metagame, making it an even stronger endgame sweeper when coupled with the bonus Speed. Its typing makes it a great option against staples such as Zamazenta, Ogerpon-Wellspring, and Alomomola. Sun-boosted Weather ball provides important Fire Type coverage against Steel Types like Gholdengo, Corviknight, and Kingambit. Tera Fire adds onto this power, notably giving good odds to OHKO Galarian Slowking at +2, (very important benchmark and crucial matchup for venu & sun overall) while also acting as a defensive option against Fire and Ice Type moves (give examples, like from moltres & ace). For teammates, Since it's exclusively used on sun teams, a Drought user like Torkoal or Ninetales are practically mandatory for Growth and Chlorophyll purposes.
