While its special bulk isn’t outstanding, Venusaur can still check Jolteon, Arboliva, and Clawitzer. Venusaur is also a premier Knock Off user, reliably removing items from Pokemon including Hisuian Sneasel, Weezing, and Magneton. While Giga Drain is preferred for reliable recovery, Leech Seed is useful against Pokémon such as Hisuian Sneasel, Weezing, and Muk. However, it struggles against Mesprit; Fire-types like Charizard and Oricorio-F; and Ice-types such as Abomasnow, Beartic, Glastrier, and Sneasel even though none of them can comfortably switch in into an incoming Sludge Bomb or Knock Off. Partners like Sableye, Spiritomb, and Orthworm, which can switch into Mesprit and Ice-types and threaten them back, team up excellently with Venusaur. Regirock, Whiscash, and Lanturn also synergize well, handling both Charizard and Oricorio-F and, in the case of the first two, setting entry hazards. Because Venusaur relies on Leftovers, it is vulnerable to hazards, making removers like Hitmontop, Sandslash, and Cryogonal valuable teammates.

It comfortably walls physical attackers such as Fighting-types Sneasel-Hisui, Passimian, and Primeape, not necessarily honestly, Sneasel-Hisui's Poison STAB, Passimian's U-turn and own Knock Off, and Primeape (a niche example itself) has Taunt to complicate the matchup. I'd focus more on Grass- and Water-types moreso as well as Grass-types like Thwackey and Trevenant replace with Rotom-Mow these are less relevant examples, ideally. Venusaur can also absorb Basculin’s Flip Turn with ease. While its special bulk isn’t outstanding, Venusaur can still check Jolteon, Rotom-Mow, and Lanturn, softening the impact of Volt Switch when running Leftovers. It survives two hits from Arboliva and Clawitzer, outspeeds both, and can threaten them back with Sludge Bomb and Giga Drain, respectively dex info - A lot of this spotlight reads as dex info, and some of this info isn't necessarily true. Venusaur has always been an elite defensive Pokemon from its stats, STAB, and utility alone, and it doesn't necessarily tell me why'd I'd use it. I'd heavily retool this to sound more of a sales pitch rather than an in-depth analysis of Venusaur. Leech Seed and Synthesis further increase its longevity, reinforcing its role as a sturdy wall dex info, I'd state Pokemon that it can outlast 1v1 thanks to these moves. Thanks to this durability, Venusaur is also a premier Knock Off user in the metagame, reliably removing items from many Pokémon it switches into retool this sentence on how Knock Off cripples Venusaur's checks that might otherwise switch into it with ease. Make sure to mention how Charizard can be problematic against Venusaur Regirock, Whiscash, and Lanturn also synergize well, handling Charizard and, in the case of the first two, setting hazards to support the team. Because Venusaur relies on Leftovers, it is vulnerable to hazards, making hazard removers like Hitmontop, Sandslash, and Cryogonal valuable teammates.
