VGC 2012 Prototype

Alright, so i tried to build a team for the VGC that was able to balance special, physical, tanks, and a support. Please comment with improvements/answers to my questions!

Zoroark
Modest Nature
Illusion
252 SpA/252 Spd
Nasty plot
Dark Pulse
Flamethrower
Focus Blast
Zoroark would serve as one of my leading 2 pokemon, it would use Illusion to hopefully get a Nasty Plot in, and then start sweeping with its other moves until it gets hit a couple times and faints.

Ferrothorn
Bold nature
Iron Barbs
252 Def/ 252 SpD
Spikes
Leech Seed
Gyro Ball
Power Whip
Ferrothorn would be going out with Zoroark, setting up either Spikes a couple times, or Leech Seeding the other pokemon and then going in for Gyro Ball/Power Whips

Gengar
Timid Nature
Levitate
252 SpA/ 252 Spd
Shadow Ball
Psychic
Thunderbolt
Disable
Gengar would serve as a backup special sweeper, having Disable to (if i can predict) disable their powerful moves and then go in with the various moves he has to sweep

Archeops
Lonely Nature
Defeatist
252 Atk/ 252 Spd
Acrobatics
Rock Slide
Earthquake
U-Turn
Item: Flight Jewel
Archeops would be my physical sweeper, if he can switch in, he goes in and just attacks, using U-turn to retreat if necessary

Leafeon
Impish
Leaf Guard
252 Atk/ 252 Def
Wish
Baton Pass
Leaf Blade
Swords Dance/Toxic
Leafeon would serve as my wish passer, specifically for archeops, but usable for others as well. The last move depends on what the final choice for my team would be.

Now, for this last slot, i have it narrowed down to 2 pokemon. They are Lapras and Gastrodon.

Lapras
Careful/Sassy Nature
Shell Armor/Water Absorb
252 SpD/252 HP
Curse
Ice Shard
Waterfall
Rest
She would serve as primarily a defensive tank. Ice shard negeates the speed loss, and rest can heal her. If i choose Shell Armor, She won't be subject to critical hits, but Water Absorb would let her get quick healing if i switch into a water move

OR

Gastrodon
Sassy Nature
Storm Drain
252 SpD/ 252HP
Earth Power
Ice Beam/Scald
Toxic
Recover
He would serve as a SpD tank, where he could take spD moves, and if they are water, his special attack will rise one stage. Ice Beam is to cover those grass types, but Scald is STAB.

Thanks for reading! Any things i should change, please let me know! I also would like ITEM suggestions for all of the pokemon. I think i'm leaning toward Lapras, but your input would be amazing! thank you so much

A CB\Bulk Up Conk can wreck your team as well as a well played Scizor. For Wish passing I'd go with 252 HP and a better Pokemon. On Ferro, I'd go to 252 HP and Leftovers as well as Sassy or Relaxed nature with 0 speed IV's for max power Gyroball. Also neither Lapras nor Gastrodon benefits from a -speed nature regardless of Curse. I would make Gastrodon physically bulky to make up for your weakness to fighting and priority. Gastro is a good spec. tank, but it's mostly due to typing and ability. Grass moves kills it regardless. I'm not a big fan of using Zoroark as a lead either, but that' just me. All in all your team looks pretty frail. Have you even tried it out before coming here?
