Pretty solid team and I like your idea on bulk vs. speed, but I see one notable flaw or rather an overlooked case. If you're looking to deal with mega mence quickly, there's better options. Scarfed gardevoir out speeds and OHKOs mega mence almost two times over with moon blast, and there are plenty of viable ice moves to be used too. Mega mawile OHKO's mega mence, resists his stabs, OHKOs with return, all while offering intimidate to nerf salamence even more. Mega altaria's bulk is wonderful, but theres simply better options than its intended role in this team.

The reason you'd even run mega altaria is in it's pre mega ability: Cloud nine. The simple fact of being able to "pause" the weather for a turn is such a boon when it comes to passive support. With cloud nine it's now possible to nerf rain sweeps for a a crucial turn, cripple the bulk of sand teams, or if played right, lock mega charizard Y into a solar beam for a whole turn. Not all megas are meant to always evolve first turn in, and mega altaria is definitely one of them.

Side note: Have you ever tried a dragon dance physical mega altaria? It hits like a brick the ability to boost your attack allows you to invest more in bulk (maybe even roost?)

I have, and I've tried mixed.
The thing is, I need bulk, and I need a way around sub. There's nothing wrong with Physical Mega-Altaria-- in fact it's really good-- Return hits harder and earthquake hits spread. However, for spread moves, Hyper Voice gets the boost to be on par with Earthquake, and doesn't hurt your teammate. That's the only reason I have it. It also then loses to any mon with Sub. However, I have tried it, and I like it a lot. Hyper Voice Altaria is too much like Sylveon + bulk, expect that sylveon has the ability to hit harder-- and doesn't suck up your mega slot, so I guess it's a bulkier, weaker Mega Gardevoir.
Physical Set keeps it from that, and I like that a lot, but I guess while making the team, I was thinking more about beating Mega Mence than trying to outspeed it.
