VGC VGC 2015 Team

Hello people of smogon! It's been quite some time since I was last here to get a team rating and now I'm back with my top cut team. It has made top cut now, but I have not placed first because of three reasons (I lost my chance three times BTW) The first time they got lucky as crap off an ice punch and froze me. Second, they got three rockslide flinches in a row. Third, the got, and this is no joke, five focus blasts in a row all crits... You see why I'm mad why I've lost each time. But anyway, that aside I wanted some feedback from you people.

Talonflame @ Choice Band
Ability: Gale Wings
Nature: Adamant
EVs: 252 Atk, 252 Speed, and the rest went into Sp Def.
- Flare Blitz
- Brave Bird
- U-turn
- Overheat

Well almost anyone can look at this Pokemon in competitive and say it's got gale wings and Brave bird and they're most likely right, and in this case they are. So the question becomes: What is there item. I run Choice Band so I can get the 1.5 boost of attack to my priority Brave Bird or the other to moves which act as support. The only other thing I probably need to explain is the Random overheat. Well that's there because of Ferrothorns. For the longest time I was getting baggend up by them and Flare Blitzing them would actually knock me out. Xp. Well i couldn't have that so I tried overheat and my success rate rose dramatically. Granted this can backfire, but I only use it on Ferrothorns.

Bisharp @ Focus Sash
Ability: Defiant
Nature: Adamant
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
- Knock Off
- Iron Head
- Sucker Punch
- Protect

This nice little 4x fighting weakness beauty is here as a starting Pokemon usually so I can take intimidates and also be rid of items upon using knock off. Sucker Punch is my priority and stab power hitting move. Iron head is there as a stab attack and for hope of flinch hax. lol Protect is my staple move used so I can scout my opponent's team as well as see if they are more likely to be attackers or supporters when in the beginning of the battle.

Rotom-wash @ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
Nature: Calm
EVs: 252 Sp. Def./ 252 HP / rest in Def.
- Wil-0-Wisp
- Thunderbolt
- Hydro Pump
- Protect

Yes that's right folks I'm running this thing as well. I'd say that the move pool is pretty standard, but for all the Mods that criticize me for not explaining myself so... Wil-0-wisp is there to half there attack. Hydro Pump is there as a stab bonus moves that is high power. Thunderbolt is there for possible parahax and stab electric moves. Protect is the scouting move that helps to lefties heal and stay alive longer.

Sylveon @ Life Orb
Ability: Pixelate
Nature: Modest
EVs: 252 Sp. Atk/ 252 Sp. Def. / Rest in HP
- Hyper Voice
- Shadow Ball
- Psyshock
- Protect

Again another obvious but I will explain for you mods who crack the fake wip. So Hyper Voice... 'nuff said. (lol) Shadow Ball is to cover my weakness to Ghost (See next Pokemon) and maybe get Sp. Def. drop. Psyshock is to help coverage to my poison weakness. Protect is also there for more scouting and letting the burns whittle them down.

Gallade @ Galladite
Ability: Steadfast (Inner Focus when mega)
Nature: Adamant
EVs: 252 Atk/ 252 Speed/ Rest in Sp. Def.
- Close Combat
- Ice Punch
- Shadow Sneak
- Leaf Blade

Now stuff is going to get different :) Okay so I wanted to run mega gallade to help with avoiding flinches while still getting my stab close combat and having a priority move that wasn't commonly known to be on this Pokemon. So let's see I've already talked about Shadow Sneak, so let's go to Ice Punch. I'm using the Punch of Ice to counter not only Landorus, but any other dragon. Especially Salamence. Close Combat is stab power house move. Leaf blade is a fun move to have seeing as though I always run into a swampert every time I play and they don't expect my little trick... that and high crit chance.

Shocksquatch
Electivire @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Motor Drive
Nature: Adamant
EVs: 252 Atk./ 252 Spd./ Rest in Sp. Def.
- Fire Punch
- Ice Punch
- ThunderPunch
- Cross Chop

Well I'm almost certain no one expected to see this thing again, but here it is. I run this as a trick play and as a coverage 'mon. A trick play in the sense that I lead with Tflame against electric types and then when they go to one hit thunderbolt me I switch and get a speed boost. Coverage wise, I run all three elemental punches and I run Cross chop, which has 20% crit chance and does 100 damage. This Pokemon has pulled it's weight that's for sure.

Well that's all for now guys. Personally I think my team works but I'm thinking of swapping in Raikou (if it's not a hack :p), but I don't want to really. So that's all. Thank you and please don't be a Feb-ass about it in your comments on my team. (lol see what i did there?)

Hey, I love your team. Nice work, awesome job.

The only thing i would recommend is to do more complicated EV spreads. I say that because Pokemon like Rotom-W needs to take advantage of it's natural bulkiness as opposed to going with a straight forward 252 / 252 spread. Same thing goes for sylveon.

Also.. Do you mind if i test this team out a little bit on Showdown?

Hi and I'd prefer not as to help keep my team under wraps for a little while longer. But I can't stop u so....

Also thanks on the EVs any sigestions?
