VGC Classics PL Overview:
  • 6-8 teams to play in an 8v8 regular season, followed by a 8v8 playoffs stage featuring the top 4 teams
    • For a potential playoffs tiebreak, the higher seed will get to pick two metagames while the lower seed will only pick one
  • Format overview is as follows:
    • x1 VGC 13
    • x1 VGC 14
    • x1 VGC 17
    • x1 VGC 19 (Ultra Series default)
    • x1 VGC 22
    • x1 VGC 2023 Regulation C
      • Two metagames to be determined from VGC 09, VGC 15, and VGC 21 (Series 7) based on player signups
  • 100k budget for a min of 10 players, no max player cap
    • Bidding prices start at 3k
  • Each team can have a manager + 2 co-managers, one of which can be bought as player for 15k
  • Trades for players can happen until the start of Week 1
  • Standings will follow a points system, 2 points for a win, 1 point for a tie, 0 for a loss.
As a manager team, your responsibilities will be:
  • attending the draft and selecting an eligible team of players
  • sending rosters to the commissioner on time weekly
  • aid your players in their respective playing slots
  • resolving any conflicts that arise
  • motivating your team to have a great season!
The managers will be picked by the commissioner and the VGC forum staff

Why should you be selected to manage?: I've managed VGC PL III + co-managed WCOP Team Canada. I also make bad spreadsheets and have some type of benchwarming power in team leagues. (insert more relevant stuff to make your app more compelling!)

Manager signups will be open until this Sunday, August 10th. The Auction is slated to be the weekend of the 22nd-24th. If you and your comanager do not have availability for this period, you may want to reconsider signing up, as we will not be postponing the draft timeframe.

Why should you be selected to manage?: I'm crust & addicted enough to have played every format in the pool in an official tournament except for 2009. I've made playoffs in both of this tournament's prior editions, and connected enough with the community to put together a strong roster that won't implode on itself.

Why should you be selected to manage?: Carney and I have quite a bit of experience managing together, to quite some success. We've managed in VGC Classics PL I (Finals) and II (Top4), PGL II and III (Division champions in both seasons), and LDL (Top4). Additionally, Carney is the league commissioner for NPAA, as well as USPA manager for team Florida. We've always prioritised good vibes, and it's worked like a charm so far :)

Why should you be selected to manage?: My only experience as a manager is from the Region Rumble, where I represented Latin America. I look up to teenspirit07 as a role model for how to manage a team, and I've been following that example, so far, it's been working well. Looking to be recruited as a Co-Manager more than being lead manager due to my little experience.
