Water Spout deals powerful spread damage, while Hydro Pump ignores Wide Guard. Origin Pulse is an alternate powerful Water-type spread damage attack to be used when Kyogre has low health. Mystic Water allows Kyogre to OHKO Calyrex-S with Water Spout. Tera Grass provides resistances to Miraidon's Electro Drift and Rillaboom's Wood Hammer, on top of an immunity to Amoonguss's Spore and Rage Powder. Kyogre appreciates partners that threaten its checks and allow it to devastate its foes. Calyrex-I and Zacian-C threaten Miraidon and Raging Bolt; separately, Calyrex-I threatens Rillaboom, while Zacian-C threatens Zamazenta-C. Amoonguss heals Kyogre with Pollen Puff and redirects attacks. Kyogre in return nullifies its Fire-type weakness and threatens the Fire-types it is weak to, like Incineroar and Volcarona. Roaring Moon provides Tailwind support and breaks Lunala's Shadow Shield with Knock Off to let Kyogre easily finish it off.
