Dragonite is a monster because, after de DD he can check a lot thread, and with the weakness policy we can see is attack up to x2,5(with the DD) ! Can very easily beat a lot of pokemon after that boost.

I see this set on a competition, substitute is a good one for this monster, even he can use only 2 moves(STAB) this guy is very usefull and helpfull. Sub and full shadow ball :) !
