Hello all, this is my first RMT and my first original team since D/P so would really appreciate some advice here :)
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Was fascinated by Jirachi in some other teams I used so it was the first pokemon I put in. Acts as my stealth-rocker, sp tank and hax-weapon hahaha
Really good typing and defenses as a mega. Chose it because I liked the idea of a bulky physical sweeper.
Tbh I don't really like this guy but since he has both bulk and priority, I guess he's in.
Haven't really used this dude a lot since most opponents ragequit on me before I get to put him in but w/e, he's there because I have 2 guys with good SpD and now I need one with good Def (and damage).
Cutest bugger in the team. Since my team is already filled with bulky pokes, I needed to find a guy that can dish out some insane damage without being too slow... and I found him.
Had a hard time deciding what my last pokemon would be but damn I'm glad I put this monster in. Since Jirachi is too shitty to lead in a meta where you can expect a first-turn Earthquake, Scolipede takes over the role... setting up speed boosts for pokemon like Victini, Keldeo and the defensive Mega Altaria which really need it. Because of this guy, Victini and Keldeo can take off their ugly scarfs :D
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Alright on to the team:
Jirachi @ Leftovers
Ability: Serene Grace
EVs: 252 HP / 224 SpD / 32 Spe
Careful Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Iron Head
- Body Slam
- Wish
The typical para-flinch set. Jirachi comes in whenever it has the opportunity to and sets up rocks. Switching Scolipede to Jirachi makes its job at finishing off pesky opponents easier lategame since Jirachi doesn't need to get a paralysis off in order to move first and flinch-hax them. Leftovers are to get some hp recovery in between all the paralysis and flinching.

Altaria (M) @ Altarianite
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Impish Nature
- Return
- Roost
- Dragon Dance
- Earthquake
HP and defensive EVs to take advantage of Altaria's natural bulk, speed is taken care of by Scolipede and Dragon Dance. Decided to use Earthquake over Heal Bell to ensure nearly unresisted physical coverage together with the pixilate-boosted Return. Roost is there so that Mega Altaria can hang around the party even longer and destroy more stuff. Imho, I find that a typical offensive Mega Altaria set doesn't have as much usefulness and opportunities to get going than this one.

Conkeldurr @ Assault Vest
Ability: Guts
EVs: 252 Atk / 236 SpD / 20 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Drain Punch
- Mach Punch
- Ice Punch
- Poison Jab
The Assault Vest set. Drain Punch for health, Mach Punch for priority, Ice Punch for coverage and Poison Jab for Azumarill / <insert annoying fairy type Pokemon here>. He doesn't really take out anyone though, just softens them up and occasionally comes in for the revenge kill. I'm open to more suggestions for this slot but right now I'm using this guy as my second special wall to Jirachi and as a secondary bulky attacker.

Keldeo @ Life Orb
Ability: Justified
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Calm Mind
- Scald
- Secret Sword
- Hidden Power [Flying]
Not sure if I should use Hydro Pump over Scald cuz of Victory Star but I like Scald's burn chance, particularly when my team doesn't have any reliable status inflicting moves. Calm Mind is for the stall teams while Hidden Power [Flying] is to check the monster that Venusaur is nowadays as well as to provide neutral all-round damage. Chose Life Orb because I dislike being locked into a skill and because Scolipede's existence means I don't require scarf anymore. I don't really use him often since the Scolipede-Victini-MegaAlt combi usually cleans house before I find a need to send Keldeo in.

Victini @ Expert Belt
Ability: Victory Star
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- V-create
- Bolt Strike
- Zen Headbutt
- U-turn
V-create is my goto move for massive damage. Bolt Strike for annoying flying types and water pokemon while Zen Headbutt is there for a STAB alternative. U-turn for offensive momentum. Scolipede's speed boost really does wonders in helping this lil derp get his damage off before he gets hit badly. Was originally considering scarf Latios or defog Latios for this slot but the raw power of V-create and Victini's diverse-r moveset won me over.

Scolipede @ Focus Sash
Ability: Speed Boost
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Protect
- Baton Pass
- Megahorn
- Earthquake
My standard lead. I aim to get at least one speed boost on with protect before baton passing to either Victini or Altaria depending on who's out on the field. I decided to put Earthquake in because for some reason people like to use leads that are weak to it (eg. Heatran) and they typically remain around expecting my Scolipede to Baton Pass out. Megahorn seems a better option than Pin Missile to me and wrecks psychic types like Latios hard. Overall, my main goal with Scolipede is to ensure that it remains useful throughout the game (even after its main baton pass targets die) and create momentum for the rest of the team.

Okay that's all I have. I'm still relatively new to this so hopefully it's not too bad a team. Would appreciate any comments / advice on how to improve esp on team synergy. Thanks!!
