[OVERVIEW]
- Victreebel's typing, movepool, high offensive stats, and average bulk and Speed make it a very good wallbreaker and check to various threats such as Gurdurr and Mudsdale.
- This is partly due to its access to Strength Sap, which allows it to 1v1 a decent amount of threats it wouldn't be able to otherwise, such as Skuntank and Adamant Stoutland, and better check Pokemon like Gurdurr
- Its ability to run either special or physical sets make it very unpredictable and almost impossible to reliably switch into, as Pokemon that deal with special sets such as Audino and Cryogonal fail to deal with the Swords Dance set, while special sets deal with Ferroseed, Alolan Sandslash, and Metang easier.
- Victreebel is also a formidable asset for sun teams thanks to its ability, Chlorophyll, and decent Speed, which notably allows it to outspeed common revenge killers such as Choice Scarf Primeape.
- However, Victreebel suffers from having an average speed tier, bulk, and exploitable typing which leaves it susceptible to threats such as Oricorio-G, Dodrio, Kangaskhan, and Simisear and easy to revenge kill. This also leaves it overreliant in using Strength Sap to constantly check Pokemon like Gurdurr, Mudsdale, and Regirock, which can result in a loss of momentum.
- Lastly, while Victreebel hits hard, it still finds itself walled by Pokemon like Audino, Articuno, Metang, Oricorio-G, and Cryogonal depending on the set it's running.

Moves
========
- Strength Sap allows Victreebel to check threats like Gurdurr and beat threats it wouldn't be able to beat otherwise, such as Skuntank.
- Hidden Power Fire hits Ferroseed and Alolan Sandslash, which Victreebel otherwise can't hit, while Hidden Power Rock targets Articuno and Scyther, but these are less common and if Stealth Rock are up, don't appreciate switching into Sludge Bomb anyway.
========
- A Timid nature allows Victreebel to outspeed Adamant Stoutland, which allows it to 1v1 it.
- Alternatively, a Modest nature can be used to hit Pokemon like Eelektross harder, while giving Victreebel a solid chance to KO Audino with Sludge Bomb into Bloom Doom.
- Grassium Z allows Victreebel to use Bloom Doom to get past Audino, and Skuntank and Eelektross easier.
========
- Victreebel should aim to wallbreak early- to mid-game and check threats like Gurdurr, Bellossom, and Mudsdale.
- Due to its only average bulk, Victreebel should be brought in via Volt Switch, U-turn, a smart double, or to revenge kill.
- Its typing also gives it some opportunities to switch into weaker and resisted hits such as Gurdurr's Drain Punch and Lanturn's Scald. It can also take advantage of Pokemon like Jellicent and Regirock.
- Strength Sap should be used to consistently check the threats Victreebel is supposed to check, and better pressure the opponent's team. Therefore, it should be used against Pokemon like Mudsdale that Victreebel checks, when the foe is forced out, or to cripple an incoming threat, like Alolan Sandslash and Skuntank.
- Since the Z-Move can only be used once per battle, it should be used wisely and to get past Pokemon like Audino, Skuntank, and Eelektross and shouldn't be used if the opponent has a Pokemon that can easily take it, such as Articuno and Ferroseed.
