Villainous moments in (non?)fiction.

• It might be less stressful for everyone if we kept post content and analysis at a high and discourse at a low.

Although not always true, the narrative of countless stories is feudal in nature -- be it with a political faction, a nation, a bully, or evil itself. The psyche of people that do terrible shit and the various ways that a narrator can convey those things are something I find really interesting, pick out, and look for the cultural value behind it. I thought it would be great to talk about the characters that make us angry, haunted, or laughing in shock. Without further ado:


Dragon Ball Z (lovingly referred to as the Faulconer dub): FRIEZA

This thing was the subject of a little high school essay I wrote. He's the biggest imperialist of all time. He deals in Planetary Real Estate and Seizing and the reason he's on his rampage? To make some fun out of the Z Fighters for taking his wish for immortality from his grasp. It only makes sense that he's a lizard, because his cold-bloodedness fucking shows

The idea of making your "teach you how to play the game fairy" into the manipulative bastard who literally tricks you into letting her boss commit genocide on a galactic scale was really cool. I felt actual anger reflecting on all the times that I thought Airy was feeling pain with the characters (it was slightly better in my case since I figured it out ahead of time; I can't imagine how angry someone would be if they finished the game and THEN got pranked. I also thought the title screen changed after you got that far was really cool
