Volcanion [QC 1/1] [GP 0/1]

Katy

Banned deucer.
Volcanion @ Choice Specs
Ability: Water Absorb
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Steam Eruption
- Flamethrower
- Earth Power
- Sludge Wave

Choice Specs Volcanion is a menacing wallbreaker on rain teams, as its STAB Steam Eruption gains the ability to 2HKO even the sturdiest special walls in Blissey and Galarian Slowking. Flamethrower hits Ferrothorn and Sludge Wave threatens Tapu Fini, which is otherwise one of Volcanion's best switch-ins, while Earth Power is able to hit Toxapex. Alongside Choice Specs, a Modest nature is chosen to achieve the full power of its attacks. Barraskewda makes a good partner for Volcanion, since it can pivot out of Tapu Bulu and Ferrothorn. Both are also able to pressure their shared checks in Dragonite and Toxapex. Pelipper is a great partner, as it sets rain for Volcanion, can Defog hazards away for it, and can generate momentum for it with U-turn. Ferrothorn is a great teammate as well, since it's able to set hazards and check Tapu Koko for Volcanion.

Choice Specs Volcanion is a menacing wallbreaker on rain teams, as its STAB Steam Eruption meets a huge level of power with being able to break even the sturdiest checks in Toxapex and Blissey, as both fear a 2HKO, while Flamethrower hits Ferrothorn. You can list this in a different line since the first sentence is just about how it does well in rain. Both Toxapex and Ferrothorn also fear a burn from Steam Eruption, which hinders their longevity. Earth Power hits Toxapex as well. no need to mention this. Sludge Wave is able to threaten Tapu Fini, one of the sturdiest checks otherwise, while Earth Power... mention earthpowers ability to hit toxapex here. Alongside Choice Specs a Modest nature is chosen to achieve the full power of its attacks. As Volcanion has a rather mediocre Speed tier a partner like Barraskewda is appreciated, as it can also Flip Turn out from unfavorable matchups like Toxapex and Ferrothorn and can bring Volcanion in safely its speed isnt really a great reason for it being a partner, it being able to pivot to volcanion is a better reason as well as being able to abuse rain together. Pelipper is a great partner, as it is able to set the rain for both Volcanion and Barraskewda and it is able to Defog hazards for Volcanion away and it can also make use of U-turn to bring its teammates in safely. Ferrothorn is a great teammates as well, since its able to set hazards and furthermore it can check Tapu Koko for Volcanion and Pelipper. this is a spotlight about volcanion so focus on that, mentioning how it benefits other possible teammates isnt nescessary.

Flamethrower hits Ferrothorn and Sludge Wave threatens Tapu Fini, one of the sturdiest walls otherwise which is otherwise one of Volcanion's best switch-ins, (i assume this is what you meant by "sturdiest walls," though correct me if i'm wrong. either way, this change avoids making the text repetitive.) while Earth Power is able to hit Toxapex. Alongside Choice Specs, (AC) a Modest nature is chosen to achieve the full power of its attacks. (extra space after "attacks.") Barraskewda makes a good partner for Volcanion, (AC) since Barraskewda it can pivot out of Tapu Bulu and Ferrothorn. Both are also able to pressure their shared checks in Dragonite and Toxapex. (optional changes.) Pelipper is a great partner, as it is able to set the rain for Volcanion and it is able to Defog hazards for Volcanion away and it can also make use of U-turn to bring its teammates in safely as it sets rain for Volcanion, can Defog hazards away for it, and can generate momentum for it with U-turn. (which pokemon "its teammates" was referring to was slightly unclear, but if you meant pelipper, then wouldn't it make more sense here to specifically emphasize volcanion?) Ferrothorn is a great teammate as well, since its it's able to set hazards and it can check Tapu Koko for Volcanion.
