From the depths of the Relic Castle, Volcarona rises into the DOU metagame! Quiver Dance in conjunction with Volcarona's typing allows it to threaten staples such as Ogerpon-W and Rillaboom as well as comfortably taking hits from Tornadus and Raging Bolt. Heat Wave provides a spread Fire-type attack threatening Gholdengo and Alolan Ninetales, meanwhile Bug Buzz threatens Ogerpon-W. Fairy-type Tera Blast lets Volcarona threaten Raging Bolt and Iron Hands. Tera Fairy additionally removes Volcarona's Water- and Rock-type weaknesses while providing an immunity to Raging Bolt's Draco Meteor. Leftovers grants Volcarona passive recovery to help it survive while setting up. Flame Body can occasionally provide crucial burns against foes like Ogerpon-W and Iron Hands.
