XY OU Volt-Turn w/ Zard X

Greetings frens :]

This is a little team I came up with. I'm looking for some feedback and some improvements for this team. Like my last RMT the picture sizes are a bit weird, sorry about that. If you have any advice concerning that then it would help too. Just gonna get straight into the team. :]

Charizard

mega-zard-x-1st-draft-gif.1942

Charizard @ Charizardite X
Ability: Blaze
EVs: / 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Flare Blitz
- Dragon Dance
- Outrage
- Roost

I chose the DD offensive set because I wanted a sweeper and zard x can set up and destroy so many things. Whittle the opposing team a little and then send this god in, set up a DD and have fun watching the sweep. This thing is one of the hardest hitters in OU and gets access to powerful stab, set up moves, recovery and a lot more. I really wanted to use this thing more but I've always been put off by the weakness to stealth rock and the fact that DClaw doesn't really hit hard enough but outrage locks you in. But I guess that's the case for any physical attacking dragon. Was really pleased with this god's performance as it swept through teams without even trying. Only downside is the fact that it's either roost or EQ as the other moves are kinda a must have on a DD zard. I originally had EQ > Roost because I was running healing wish latias but I changed that and I realised that it wasn't a very reliable recovery so I put on roost.

Rotom-Wash

Rotom-Wash @ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 Def / 252 HP / 4 SpA
Calm Nature
- Volt Switch
- Hydro Pump
- Will-O-Wisp
- Pain Split

Call me a pivot master. This thing forms a nice volt turning duo with landorus T. Defensive helps me deal better with things like Pinsir, talon and azu. Pretty standard rotom wash moves, pain split for more HP than just lefties. Really helps out my team as it can take most hits really well and can burn, get big damage off or get momentum for me with it's moves, momentum is pretty key for this team. I originally ran SpD but I chose def now because I already have an AV Raikou and Def rotom checks a lot of things even if they set up +1/2. I'm sure you all know what a Rotom does and is. :]

Landorus-Therian

landorus-therian.jpg

Landorus-Therian (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 180 HP / 240 Def / 88 Spe
Impish Nature
- U-turn
- Stealth Rock
- Earthquake
- Stone Edge

Forms a nice duo with rotom as I said before. The ev spread was suggested by Scy because it outspeeds adamant bisharp and has the maximum defence it can get while retaining the speed it needs. Intimidate helps out a ton against things that aren't bisharp or the occasionally defiant thundurus. Also it's my only hazard setter and we all know how important hazards are for whittling a team to the point where you can sweep. Eats up hits and also is my only thing with a ground or rock type attack so I really needed it on the team.

Raikou

220px-The_Legend_of_Thunder.png

Raikou @ Assault Vest
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 252 SpA / 32 SpD / 224 Spe
Timid Nature
- Volt Switch
- Thunderbolt
- Hidden Power [Ice]
- Extrasensory

AV Raikou is bulky, fast, helps with momentum and counters or checks things that this team isn't a big fan of. Mainly a genie check and also carries the Extrasensory for venusaur and volt switch for momentum as this team is volt-turn based after all. HP ice is for things like garchomp, landorus, gliscor etc.

252 SpA Life Orb Thundurus Focus Blast vs. 0 HP / 32 SpD Assault Vest Raikou: 108-127 (33.6 - 39.5%) -- guaranteed 3HKO

Since it's faster it can safely switch in on a thundurus and kill it with a Tbolt and volt switch or just two Tbolts - Evs were again suggested by Scy, enough to outspeed thundurus so the rest is invested in bulk. This thing really helps out with most things as the most common switch ins are things like ferrothorn it can just volt switch out into zard and either get a kill, big damage on something or set up a DD.

Keldeo

keldeo-resolute.jpg

Keldeo @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Justified
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Scald
- Hydro Pump
- Secret Sword
- Hidden Power [Electric]

First off Keldeo is wonderful on almost any team. Venusaur is a problem for it but I have a zard x and a latias which check it and a raikou which somewhat checks it too and can take any hit from it nicely. Azumarill has to take the risk of a scald burn every time it switches in and I also have HP electric for azu, slowbro and gyarados as azumarill is such a big threat to my team. Most Latis don't pack roost/recover and run life orb so it's easy to whittle. My team had no scarfers so I figured I could use one and this thing is a bisharp counter which really helps me as bisharp is annoying to face regardless of what team you run. Just as Keldeo is with it's great SpA, speed and coverage.

Latias

latias__by_SweetMiaArt.jpg

Latias (F) @ Life Orb
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Draco Meteor
- Psyshock
- Defog
- Healing Wish

With a Zard you obviously need a defogger and it's also pretty nice anyway as raikou, rotom and landorus will be switching in and out a fair amount. Life orb for the extra power as without it I find it doesn't hit hard enough. Draco, Psyshock double stab. Healing wish just to heal up my Zard usually as it can get statused or weakened which is a big help as it's the main sweeper of the team. Reasonably standard sets on all of these mons but it's the OverUsed tier after all.

Help?

If you're reading this then please comment on how I could improve my team as I like it at the moment but as you may have noticed I don't have a great switch in to the lati twins, azumarill and a few other common OU threats and despite the fact that it works well for me while battling it's far from perfect. Thanks frens :]

Hi,
I would suggest choice specs over choice scraf since its good special attacker and with specs it becomes Immortal and OHKO Mawile mega with Hydra Pump.

Wow, this team is very solid! I don't have much to say, everything falls in place really well together, so I'll only suggest some changes to the EVs / moves.

1. Charizard X
Put the 4 Hp EVs on Zard somewhere else. This might not seem important, but it is. An odd number Hp allows Zard to survive 2 rocks switch-ins, where it allows it to survive 4 switch-ins after mega evolving. Always have an odd number Hp on mons weak to rocks.

2. Rotom-W
I think having a physically defensive Rotom-W fits the team better, since you already have an AV Raikou to deal with stuff like Greninja that SpDef Rotom normally handles. Defensive Rotom allows you to better deal with Mega Pinsir, Talonflame, and Azumarill, so I feel that it will benefit the team more.
Rotom-Wash @ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 236 HP / 236 Def / 36 SpA
Bold Nature
- Volt Switch
- Hydro Pump
- Will-O-Wisp
- Pain Split

3. Latias
I don't see the need for Hp Fighting on Latias, since Keldeo hard counters Bisharp and Tyranitar anyway (double switching into Keldy predicting one of the 2 said pursuit trappers can be pulled off rather easily). Therefore, I suggest replacing Hp Fighting for Healing Wish. HWish allows you to have a pseudo recovery option for your team mates, especially since Zard is weak to rocks and has no way of recovering its Hp. Hwish also activates before hazards, so you could still heal Charizard if its dying to rocks on switch in :] Also without Hp Fighting and 30 speed IVs, it allows you to win potential speed ties against opposing Lati twins
Latias (F) @ Life Orb
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Draco Meteor
- Psyshock
- Defog
- Healing Wish

4. Landorus-T
Run 88 speed to outspeed Adamant Bisharps
so that they cannot Knock Off you. Attack EVs really aren't that important, whereas investing in bulk can be really crucial. The set is below. 88 speed, 180 hp for Lefties number, and the rest into Def.
Landorus-Therian (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 180 HP / 240 Def / 88 Spe
Impish Nature
- U-turn
- Stealth Rock
- Earthquake
- Stone Edge

5. AV Raikou
AV Raikou is so so soo underrated! I'm so glad you're using it :] Anyway, you don't need max speed on this. The only relevant thing you need to outspeed is Thundurus and below (Talon etc), so 224 Speed is enough. Investing the remainder 36 EVs into SpDef can allow you to further utilise AV and make Raikou even bulkier on the special side.
Raikou @ Assault Vest
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 252 SpA / 32 SpD / 224 Spe
Timid Nature
- Volt Switch
- Thunderbolt
- Hidden Power [Ice]
- Extrasensory

Once again, really solid team! That is all I have to say, hope you benefited from this. Cheers!

Thanks for the evs. I completely just forgot about the rocks on charizard >.> I tried healing wish before and I normally run it but I just got pursuit trapped by TTar a few times and it put me off recently. I know it's easy to predict a TTar switch in but Lati is mainly in for defogging so I'd like to get that off. I'll go back to healing wish :] Thanks for the feedback fren, means a lot. :] I'll change the thread sets when my computer decides to stop being so slow

Just realised the rule about multiple RMTs per 2 weeks so I deleted my other RMT. Sorry if it caused any hassle, don't delete this one please :]
