VoltTurn - because it's evil!!

VoltTurn

Introduction:

Though U-turn teams interested some people during DPP, they never caught on. The fact that most U-turn users were primarily physically based created a team-wide weakness to common walls such as Skarmory. Then came Pokemon Black and White, and a new move—Volt Switch—came along with them. Volt Switch provided a special version of U-turn which finally allowed teams to abuse the switching moves. Along with Volt Switch, all of the Rotom formes gained a new typing. This furthered VoltTurn's cause by allowing the Rotom formes to strike hard with new STAB moves and escape from a dangerous situation.

So, before introducing common VoltTurn users and strategy, what exactly is VoltTurn? This strategy is an offensive playstyle that utilizes strong Pokemon with the moves Volt Switch and U-turn to maintain offensive pressure and momentum against the opponent. With the ability to constantly force one's opponent to react to a new Pokemon, often causing a switch, it is much easier to set Pokemon up and prepare them to sweep.

Team Users:

Forretress @ Rocky Helmet
Trait: Sturdy
EVs: 252 Def / 252 HP / 4 SAtk
Bold Nature
- Spikes
- Stealth Rock
- Volt Switch
- Rapid Spin

Why Forretress and not Ferrothorn? Volt Switch is the answer. Forretress lays SR and Spikes out and the goes out of Battle with Volt Switch. The natural enemy of every VoltTurn Team is Entry Hazards, so the last move is Rapid Spin.

Hydreigon @ Life Orb
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 SAtk / 4 Atk
Hasty Nature
- Dark Pulse
- Draco Meteor
- U-turn
- Fire Blast

Hydreigon is a nice pokemon. The opponennt must have a counter again it or it'll sweep a hole Team with Draco Meteor and U-Turn. Draco Meteor is the main move. With 140 base Power and 349 SAtk and STAB, it deals a huge of damage to other Pokemon there are not resistet to Dragon. Dark Pulse is the secondary STAB Move when you won't lose the SAtk drop. U-Turn is great with Draco Meteor. It will compensates the Drawback of Draco Meteor without lose a Turn.

Infernape @ Choice Band
Trait: Blaze
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 Atk / 4 SAtk
Hasty Nature
- Close Combat
- Overheat
- U-turn
- Stone Edge

I'm a great fan of Infernape. With a base Power of 140 and an equal SAtk and a more powerfull Speed State with 108 base Power. AND it has a Flame on the Head!! Not really many pokemon can say that of itself. Overheat is the main STAB Move and it's like Draco Meteor, great Power and with U-Turn you won't lose a turn. Close Combat is really powerfull move while the most of the OU pokemon has a weakness of Fighting Move. Stone Edge is for the Coverage.

Jolteon @ Choice Scarf
Trait: Volt Absorb
EVs: 252 SAtk / 252 Spd / 4 HP
Modest Nature
- Volt Switch
- Hidden Power [Ice]
- Roar
- Signal Beam

Volt Switch is the STAB move and a piece of the strategy. HP Ice is to have pseudo BoltBeam. Signal Beam is...I don't know. 3 Moves are to less. Maybe to hit Hydreigon, Celebi and Breloom hard. Roar is great!! Volcarona, Jirachi, Siczor and many other Pokemon have to be to set up and then comes Roar. I would like to see the face of my opponnent when he uses a substitude and I roar his pokemon away :D

Rotom-Wash @ Choice Scarf
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 252 SAtk / 252 Spd / 4 SDef
Modest Nature
- Hydro Pump
- Volt Switch
- Trick
- Will-O-Wisp

Rotom-W is a pseudo lead. When I layed SR out I switch with Volt Switch to Rotom-W and cripple his pokemon with Trick or Will-O-Wisp. Hydro Pump is the main STAB and most powerful move it can learn. nuff said to Volt Switch.

251.gif
Celebi @ Life Orb
Trait: Natural Cure
EVs: 220 SDef / 252 HP / 36 Spd
Gentle Nature
- Leaf Storm
- U-turn
- Stealth Rock
- Recover

With Natural Cure it captures all the Primary Status Effects and heal it when switching out. The best way to switch it out? U-Turn! Leaft Storm as the same as Draco Meteor or Overheat. Stealth Rock is a sure way to lay out SR. Recover is for the staying Power.

Hope you like this Team and can bring another Side of View.
