  • Vulpix's Ability to set up sun brings alot of coverage to the team
  • Vulpix has Good Offensive Coverage with Fire Blast and Energy Ball Making it a good Wallbreaker
  • Hitting 17 Speed with a Timid nature is not all that bad, considering it also sports a good Special Attack stat and a further boost thanks to the Sun it sets.
  • Vulpix is Very Frail and Weak to Rocks

move 2: Energy Ball

[SET COMMENTS]
Moves

  • Fire Blast: Being Vulpix's Most Powerful STAB Move This move at an astounding 110 base power checks a lot of vulpixs threats. Like Cottonee being able to 2hko without sun and ohko with sun
  • Energy Ball: this move at a 90 base power deals tremendous amounts of damage
  • Will-O-Wisp: This Move can easily cripple major threats that Vulpix Can not handle Offensively and Defensively
  • Quick Attack: This move deals outstanding damage to certain pokemon that check Vulpix immensely while outspeed pokemon such as abra breaking the sash.

Set Details
========

  • Giving Vulpix 240 Speed EV's and a Timid Nature Bring Vulpixs Speed to 17 to outspeed Most of its opposing wallbreakers.
Usage Tips
========

Vulpix Is Seen alot in Sun Teams as it gets access to Drought which is a good backup for BellSprout, Vulpix Can Usually Have a chance to 2hko or OHKO a target Pokemon Which makes for a good early game sweeper. If You Dont end up getting to Sweep or Do Damage you still have Sun Up To Produce a healthy playstyle for the rest of your team.

Team Options
========

Vulpix Has One Main Purpose in Little Cup And it is To Set up Sun. Vulpix Setting up Sun helps set up Potential Sweepers Like BellSprout. BellSprout gaining access to Weather Ball Under the Sun Makes it a Fire Type Move which could be a real game changer. Having Heat Rock making the Sunlight last 8 Turns Instead of 5 Which could be really beneficial for a Little Cup Sun Team.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

* List some options for the Pokemon user that are plausible but not always recommended due to being either not consistent enough or too outclassed by other Pokemon in the metagame.

Checks and Counters

**Flash Fire** Pokemon getting access to Flash Fire

Hello there! I'm not a moderator, QC/Gp member or else, but I have some tips for you: you should consider them, as this analysis risks being locked because it does not respect Smogon's standards.

Probably you already know it, but you should first set your analysis in bullet points, and then write it up in paragraphs after you get 2 QC.
For more guidelines about how to create a bullet point skeleton, look at the first post made by Corporal Levi here.
Once done, you should also announce that the analysis is ready for QC by changing the tag of the title to "Quality Control". You can also create a new post under this one, in which you say something like "ready for QC"; this will move your thread at the top of the queue, just after the pinned ones.

Now, speaking of the content of the analysis itself

[OVERVIEW]
  • Vulpix doesn't gain access to Heat Rock because it is an item that every Pokemon may hold.
  • To be picky, uninvested Vulpix has 10 Defense and 13 Special Defense, so correct it.
  • Hitting 17 Speed with a Timid nature is not all that bad, considering it also sports a good Special Attack stat and a further boost thanks to the Sun it sets.
[SET]

First of all, format it this way (changes in bold):

name: Sun Support
move 1: Fire Blast
move 2: Energy Ball
move 3: Will-O-Wisp
move 4: Quick Attack
item: Heat Rock
ability: Drought
nature: Timid
evs: 52 HP / 196 SpA / 236 Spe

  • Moves should always be set by importance: Fire Blast is more important than Energy Ball, as it is its main STAB and is boosted by Sun.
  • You have to write a comment for all the moves, always in bullet points.
  • 240 EVs in Speed should be used if you opt for an Hidden Power that needs an even IVs stat; if not, just use 236 EVs.
Will-O-Wisp: This Move Which Everyone Knows Burns the Target.
Ignoring how you built your sentence, you should be exhaustive when explaining it: keep in kind that all kinds of player will read this, ranging from experienced and top-ranked players to newbie players who run Hyper Beam because "itz stronk!!1!". So explain the uses of Will-O-Wisp, such as ruining opposing physical attackers (but be cautious when the opponent has some Guts users).

And rapidly:

-Checks and counters: Sandule alone is not enough, as it can take serious damage from Energy Ball or Fire Blast.
-Don't use capital letters on every word.

Hope I helped :)

hey I know this is still in WIP but I was asked to help with this before QC. This doesn't count as QC just so you know.

[OVERVIEW]
Tell us more about why Sun is so important.
Vulpix is pretty frail so mention that
Add that Vulpix is weak to Stealth Rock

[SET]

good

[SET COMMENTS]
Moves
========
You should mention that Fire Blast is boosted by Sun, making it hit really hard.
Mentioning without sun is irrelevant here, as most of the time Vulpix will be in sun so change it to just "OHKOs Cottonee in sun"
Mention that Energy Ball super effectively hits the Pokemon that Vulpix is weak to.
Specifically mention that Will-O-Wisp cripples physical attackers.
Quick Attack isn't that powerful maybe tone down that a bit and just say its good at KOing faster weakened mons.

Set Details
========
Tell us what the rest of the EVs do, like the SpA EVs maximizing Vulpix's damage output and the HP EVs for better bulk.
Say that Heat Rock prolongs Sun for 8 turns rather than 5.

Usage Tips
========
put in bullet points for now

Remove the first sentence.
Vulpix's main role is the set up Sun for teammates.
I wouldn't call Vulpix a sweeper, just say wallbreaker.
Be wary of using Fire Blast if the opponent has a Ponyta or Houndour.
Say that Will-O-Wisp can be used to weaken physical attackers.
Then say be cautious of using Will-O-Wisp against a Timburr, due to Guts.

Team Options
========
once you have 2 qc checks, you can put it back into paragraph.

Remove that first sentence, that goes into Usage Tips.
Also remove that Heat Rock statement as that goes in Set Details.
Remove the Bellsprout statement about Weather Ball, it has nothing to do with potential Vulpix teammates.
Add Chinchou since it checks Vullaby, Archen, and Ponyta which all check Vulpix/Sun teams.
Pokemon that remove entry hazards like Drilbur and Archen can help with Vulpix's Stealth Rock weakness.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============
Extrasensory better hits Mareanie, Skrelp, and Tentacool.
Roar phazes out Torchic and set up sweepers.

Checks and Counters
===================
these should all be formatted as **insert threat**:

Remove Sandile as a counter, it isn't
Add Fire-type Pokemon, since they resist Energy Ball and Fire Blast. Also mention Flash Fire Pokemon here since Fire Blast helps them out.
Faster Pokemon like Diglett, Anorith, and Choice Scarf Pokemon can KO Vulpix because of its frailty.

I know I ain't GP but there's a lot of random capitalization on words that don't need them, as well as some words that do need them. I recommend looking at this thread right here to see how it should be like.

Hope this helps!
