Want to do test battles against myself

I really want to do some metronome battles and random battles and stuff against myself so I made another account but when I accept the challenge from it nothing happens. Can someone please tell me why?

Random battles can be glitchy. Have both accounts have a pre-loaded team (in the Team Builder, open the Tools menu and select Use This Team) and try again.
