Welcome to my 3rd RMT! I want to keep this rmt short and sweet so here it goes.
Team overview:
The team is centered around Latios' hit-and-run tactics, Suicune's sweeping late game and the double Intimidate team of Lando-T and Mawile. Like what my thread says, I'm having a problem with the last member of the team, and I'll be discussing it later. I'll be making a short introduction for each member first so here it goes:
Conkeldurr @ Assault Vest
Ability: Guts
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 HP / 252 SDef
Adamant Nature
- Drain Punch
- Ice Punch
- Mach Punch
- Knock Off
Standard AV set for Conk. He absorbs harmful status for my team and wrecks balls after. He is the designated team member to absorb special attacks as well, and boy does he do a good job at it!
Landorus-Therian (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 252 Def / 252 HP / 4 Atk
Impish Nature
- Earthquake
- Stealth Rock
- U-turn
- Knock Off
Lando-T is there to sponge physical hits, knock off an item or two and set-up rocks. The number of things forced out by this thing is unbelievably huge, but imo his job mostly ends there.
Mawile @ Mawilite
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 HP / 4 SDef
Adamant Nature
- Swords Dance
- Sucker Punch
- Iron Head
- Play Rough
The second half of my Intimidate duo, but with a different job. While Lando-T is more of a utility mon, Mawile's job is to come in on a resisted hit(trust me, that's a lot) and dent anything that comes in or if given the chance, set-up a SD and boost. Most dragons are taken care of by either him or Lando-T
Suicune @ Leftovers
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 248 Def / 248 HP / 12 Spd
Bold Nature
IVs: null Atk
- Scald
- Calm Mind
- Rest
- Sleep Talk
Imo the member of this team that I'm biased the most. I've done crazy stuff with this mon like coming in and start boosting as early as turn 6 and it still won me the game. CroCune set is imo very underrated this generation, and I'd like to keep it that way tbh because it makes it easier for me. The speed EVs are for speed creeping physically defensive Rotom-W so I can get a CM in before Rotom-W uses volt switch.
Latios (M) @ Choice Specs
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 SAtk / 4 HP
Timid Nature
- Draco Meteor
- Psyshock
- Surf
- Defog
The other core of this team. Latios takes care of mid-game by being the recipient of Lando-T's slow U-turns and denting something that switches in. Though with the presence of fairies and Aegislash, this has proved to be a very daunting task for Latios as he can't spam Draco Meteor mindlessly. Also, Pursuit trappers still exist that can pretty much end Latios' guerilla tactics.
Threat List:
1.) BD Azumarill
As much as it pains me, Azumarill is the ultimate counter to Latios and to my entire team. If it runs BD, I'm screwed as it can come in on Latios that is locked on Draco Meteor, then proceed to BD if I switch out. BD-less variants are toyed over by Suicune so it's no problem at all.
2.) Mega Venusaur(carrying Leech Seed)
Even though I already have Latios' Psyshock, MSaur's partner can almost always absorb it, and Suicune can barely do anything if MSaur has Leech Seed. Though MSaur is OHKO'd by +2 Mega Mawile.
3.) Faries in general. They're a big pain in the ass for my team. Mawile is the only thing that can threaten most of them out as its not wise to bring Suicune in early.
So yeah, as you can see I'm missing a lead poke. I used to have Thundurus-I and Infernape but neither of them performed admirably. I want a team member that can deal with the aforementioned threat list above, perform the lead role well, and deal with Genesect.
