Warstory: Testing Team

So my friend doesn't EV train and I am trying to convince him to EV train since 6-0 isn't fun for battles. But he said he only wants to use his 6 favorite guys so I thought ok that is fine I'll just have to find a way to make it.
I thought out a team and starting making it realizing I never tested. So I went and made this team on shoddy.
I log in and I get a challenge in like a minute, which saves me time. The guy left the room before I could ask to Warstory this so I will edit his name(hope thats allowed).

Tenken sent out Drifblim
Opponent sent out Electrode
Wow not OU. I knew he was faster but the T-Wave won't affect me. I decide to Hypnosis it.

Electrode used Thunder Wave.
Drifblim is paralysed! It may be unable to move!
Drifblim lost its burden!
Drifblim's Lum Berry cured its Paralysis!
Drifblim used Hypnosis.
Drifblim's attack missed!
Yes my Lum berry paid off. I was going to do Sash but Drifblim has too much HP so I went with Lum to stop the popular opening Sleep.
Nooo my sleep misses. I'm behind now but now I definitely outspeed with unburden. I go for sleep again.

He doesn't switch. Now he's seen the T-Wave so he isn't likely to switch. I still go for it because this guy has no attacks. I need to pack Explode over D-Bond but lack of attack hurts.

Don't ask. I really should've switched but I thought he would. I finally realize this is pointless and since I'm faster he'll get para on me first and cripple my blimp. I choose between my spiker or my immuninty. Trode's been asleep too long so I definitely don't want my spiker set alseep.

I have no clue what will happen but Gastrodon is hopefully sturdy enough to take wahtever he brings so I decide to Curse up.

Opponent switched in Mismagius
Gastrodon used Curse.
Gastrodon's speed was lowered.
Gastrodon's attack was raised.
Gastrodon's defence was raised.
Wow this sucks. Mismagius completely walls my Gastro(Body Slam and EQ). I need to switch but I fear him setting up a sub or a calm mind but have no choice. I decide to go with my Drifblim which is risky since a Shadow Ball will kill me but I needed death fodder and expected a set up.

So I hope this second warstory is better than my first.
My question is should I remove the Leftes and the Hail that cancels each other out. I decided to leave it in since it is just part of the log anyways.
Please comment on the battle and how I can improve(battle-wise I guess and writing wise).

Wow... I used Word and it screwed up a lot. Like it bolded all those parts and they shouldn't be bolded. I then went back to fix them and it bolded more =\ tired right now but I'll try to fix it later.

this was a pretty sweet warstory.
like that you used BL and UU pokes:)

Since you asked, I'd reccomend removing hail abomasnow in place of say... blissey, cause your team could use a special wall, and aromatherapy if they don't take status well.

Guys, he said he created this team to test his friend's six favorite pokemon. I don't think he was looking for people to critique his team. Also, he has pokemon that resist ice, but none that are immune to hail. I think that's what you meant, but you should try to be more clear.

Thanks for the warstory. I think it could have used a little bit more detail on the decision-making, but this battle wasn't exactly fueled by prediction wars, so its not as big a deal as it would be in other stories. I think your friend has some interesting favorites and you seem to have made a semi-viable shoddy team out of them. Hopefully he takes this as evidence that he should try to EV train and get into competitive battling.

Thanks for the comments.

Yes these are my friends favorite pokemon which is why it seems random.

I realize the hail hurts me so I don't start with Snow because I don't want it wracking up too fast.

I realized another slop was that my T-spikes were pretty useless but will just need to test it alittle more. I guess it was a nice surprise though since it makes the Drapion seem defensive.

I think "Ouch. I wasn't expecting a phsyical Lax." sums it up pretty well.
I didn't really think the comments were very insightful and your myriad mistakes in battle really just detract from it.

Also, 53% + 53% - 6% leftovers recovery still = 100%. Even without the 4% overkill, you were dead on arrival.

The only thing I have to assume with the battle is that your opponent used an Immunity Snorlax instead of Thick Fat, because I was curious where the Toxic damage was and why Snorlax wasn't dead several turns earlier.

Thank you for your input. Anyway I can improve on my comments I guess. I mean the mistakes were partly because I was tired and was too lazy to do damage calcs.

I said I thought I would hang in barely for a reason. My thought was that the Lax hit a pretty high max and wouldn't get 53%(Assumed it was max) again but it seems 53% definitely wasn't his max. I just didn't know how much attack he had and was too lazy to check.

I've been seeing a bit of imunity laxes recently, they are getting somewhat annoying but yea I also assumed it was immunity since he took no damage.

Thank you for your input. Anyway I can improve on my comments I guess. I mean the mistakes were partly because I was tired and was too lazy to do damage calcs.
But if that's the case, ex you're getting lazy and playing shittily because of *whatever*, you should just leave the battle you're in out of contention for warstory. If you're playing your game, fucking up constantly, not keeping track of anything, you embarrass your audience thinking they want to read you making careless mistakes instead of misplays you can actually gain something from. Your reader gets nothing out of "It's 1 am, so I have an excuse to play blindfolded." You don't grow as a battler, either, because of this.

The "LOL My team's random XD" factor doesn't go very far, as far as I'm concerned. Or maybe I'm just spoiled because there have been some absolutely fantastic stories posted lately.
