TEAM BUILDING

After thousands of annoying battles against this monster, i decided to start the team with him, Breloom.

Retro286%28Platino%29%28F%29%281%29.png

Breloom has big troubles against Psychic pokèmons like Celebi and anything that can resist to Focus Punch and Seed Bomb, like Salamence and obviously heatran and others Fire-Typed.

Retro286%28Platino%29%28F%29%281%29.png
Retro248%28CO-AA%29%28F%29%281%29.png

Tyranitar can deal with Psychic Threats like Celebi or Cresselia, Ghosts that have Focus Punch immunity and can aso handle Zapdos with Stone Edge and Heatran with earthquake.
On the other side, Breloom can switch in Earthquakes and water attacks aimed at T-Tar.

Now i need a Earth & Ground immunity. Rotom-W Fits perfectly as it can also shut down Fire-Types with Hydro-Pump.

Retro392%28Platino%29%28F%29%282%29.png

So, i had three pokèmons that cover each other weakness well. My 4th choice was Infernape for wallbreaking, helping breloom to take, down guys like Snorlax, Blissey, other Tyranitars, phazers like Skarmory and outspeed and OHKO Lucario & Scizor.

As i compiled the Threat List i that i had troubles with Jolteon, Flygon, Machamp, Kingdra and DDmence if he could setup one Dragon Dance.
Flygon was a quite obvious choice. It's able to absorb Jolteon thunderbolt and ohko it with earthquake (I must watch out HP ice..), shut down kingdra after the first DD and other Flygons.
He also help the team taking down other pokèmon thanks to its versatility.

As the 6th member i chosed Azelf cause it has access to Stealth Rocks, that helps Breloom, T-Tar and Infernape sweeps, it can handle well Machamp and Gengar with Psychic then explode trying to kill another pokèmon.
Oh and it's a fast Taunt users that can cripple walls in the Middle-late game.

Azelf @ Focus Sash Trait: Levitate
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Spd / 252 SAtk
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Stealth Rock
- Taunt
- Psychic
- Explosion

Standard Azelf, standard gameplay. Usually taunt something that can set up entry hazards or other set up move like baton pass, then stealth rock, then if Azelf isn't dead begin attack with Psychic or Explode.
I run psychic over Fire Blast\Flamethrower cause i can handle better machamp and Gengar but i can change it under suggestions.

Poke248%28CO-AA%29%28F%29%282%29.png

Tyranitar (M) @ Life Orb
Trait: Sand Stream
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Dragon Dance
- Stone Edge
- Crunch
- Earthquake

A Classic Dragon Dance Tyranitar. It comes in against something that will switch out and begin dancing, then proceed to sweep.
Stone Edge & Crunch offer a fantastic coverage, completed by Earthquake to cripple fire enemies.

Poke479%28Platino%29%28N%29%28washer%29%281%29.png

Rotom-W @ Leftovers
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP / 168 Def / 88 Spd
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Will-O-Wisp
- Thunderbolt
- Hydro Pump
- Shadow Ball

My Pseudo-Wall and Rapid Spin Blocker he can easily handle Gyarados and Bulky waters tipo with thunderbolt, cripple sweepers with WoW, Hydro Pump to shut down Heatran and Bulky-Ground Types like Hippowdon, Dophan or Rhyperior. Shadow Ball for STAB, hitting hard Celebi, Cresselia and Other ghosts.

Poke392%28CO-AA%29%28F%29%281%29.png

Infernape (M) @ Life Orb
Trait: Blaze
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 SAtk / 4 SDef
Naive Nature (+Spd, -SDef)
- Nasty Plot
- Flamethrower
- Close Combat
- Vacuum Wave

Oooh, I like this. Once he get a Single nasty Plot he's almost unstoppable. He Hits hard everything, even pokèmon that outspeeds him with Vacuum Wave, he can also OHKO Scarftran with Vacuum wave after a NP.
I can consider Focus Blast > Close Combat but i really don't like Focus Blast 'cause of its crappy precision..

330.png

Flygon (M) @ Choice Scarf
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 Spd / 4 SDef
Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Earthquake
- Outrage
- U-turn
- Stone Edge

Here's my revenge killer. Flygon can outspeed and hits hard almost everything with this Movepool. It can easily comes in absorbing Electric and Ground attacks.

Poke286%28RF-VF%29.png

Breloom (M) @ Toxic Orb
Trait: Poison Heal
EVs: 48 HP / 252 Atk / 208 Spd
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Spore
- Focus Punch
- Seed Bomb
- Substitute

So here the star of my team. This thing is a beast, he can take down almost 2 pokèmon on the opponent team and once his counters are dead it can cripples entire teams.
Switch in against something slower or weak to Breloom, then spore, set up the substitute and begin Focus punching the opponent behind the sub.
I tried also the SubSeeder set but i prefer this one cause i like have seed bomb to hits things like Swampert, Bulky waters and ghosts.

OK, here in italy it's 3 a.m. thus i'm going to bed.
I'll reserve one post for the Threat List. For this one and others updates wait tomorrow. This means that you can..

You know that a lead Metagross will almost always kill Azelf without a scratch?
So I suggest giving it Fire Blast over Taunt

Scizor vs Azelf: Bullet Punch for 2HKO
Scizor vs Tyranitar: Bullet Punch will do min. 80% Give Tyranitar a Babiri Berry
Scizor vs Breloom: Always 2HKO
Scizor vs Infernape: min. 36%
Scizor vs Rotom-W: min 16%
Scizor vs Flygon: Bullet Punch min 67%

I am saying these calculations in a good and bad way. You need to give Tyranitar a Babiri Berry, otherwise it wil always get OHKOed factoring in Stealth Rock damage.
I suggest replacing Flygon with Magnezone, which can trap and kill Scizor. Flygon can be easily set up on, after it revenges one pokemon, such as giving Salamence a free DDance when locked into Earthquake. Skarmory can come in on Outrage etc.

One thing I have noticed is that your team is wrecked by Salamence once it gets a DDance, on something like an EQ locked Flygon, everything is 2HKOed, so adding a Magnezone can help stop Salamence in the middle of an Outrage, and OHKO with HP Ice

Just a thought
Also if you want me to delete I will

Hmmm i don't like to replace taunt, but i can try to run fireblast over Psychic..

Scizor vs Infernape: min. 36%

I can OHKO it back with flamethrower

Scizor vs Rotom-W: min 16%

If Scizor is locked into Bullet Punch it's not a problem...

I'll try but, how can i take down kingdra without flygon?

So HP Ice > HP Fire for magnezone?

Just a thought

Hey. You've got a decent start to a team here, but it's got a horrible weakness in that it's got no way of switching into dragons - several of your pokemon invite Salamence to come in, and you're going to lose something every time it does. To fix that, you're really going to need a steel type, and CB Scizor is the obvious choice here. You can easily rep.lace Tyranitar, who I don't see doing very much for the team.

On Infernape, I'd suggest going with a Physical MixApe using Close Combat/Overheat/Stone Edge/Mach Punch for a couple of reasons. Firstly, you don't really need an NP Ape in the team, as you should be focusing more on weakening teams to the point where Breloom can clean up, and the wallbreaking power of this set would help out a lot there, and secondly, you've got a huge Lucario weakness, which this set will help you cover without having to make any drastic changes.

Now, your remaining problem is that you don't have anything that can easily switch into fire types - notably Heatran. I'd suggest using a Swampert lead with Stealth Rock/Earthquake/Ice Beam/Roar over Azelf to help fix that.
If you want to keep Azelf, you should use a Colbur Azelf, which does pretty much everything your current set does but better in the current metagame.

Good luck!
