Water/Rain Team

I feel like this team is more gimmicky than my other teams. Especially since a lot of the synergy relies on Doubles.

Vaporeon@Salac Berry
Bold/Water Absorb
252 Defense/68 Sp.Attack/188 HP

-Surf
-Acid Armor
-Substitute
-Baton Pass

A Supporter all the way, Vaporeon's strategy is to use Substitute, Acid Armor, and then pass both on to something else. Health used for Substitutes can be restored by a teammate's Surf. The Salac Berry is just an extra Passing bonus.

Ludicolo@Damp Rock
Calm/Rain Dish
76 Sp. Attack/180 Sp.Defence/252 HP

- Energy Ball
- Leech Seed
- Rain Dance
- Protect

A stalling oriented version of Ludicolo With Rain Dance and Leech Seed, using Protect can bring in quite a bit of HP. The added bonus to this version of Ludicolo is that multiple battles have shown that Ludicolo is the most likely target for Fake Out, which Ludicolo can simply Protect against, also giving the teammate some room to set up.

Lanturn@Wise Glasses
Calm/Volt Absorb
76 Defence/140 Sp.Attack/252 Sp.Defence/ 40 HP

- Thunder
- Surf
- Ice Beam
- Thunder Wave

The number one lover of Rain Dance in my team. With Rain Dance going, both Thunder and Surf hit for a pretty big punch. Ice Beam to round out coverage, and Thunder Wave to slow things down. An appreciative Receiver of one of Vaporeon's Acid Armors.

Quagsire@Chesto Berry
Bold/Water Absorb
160 Defence/96 Sp.Attack/252 HP

- Surf
- Earth Power
- Rest
- Stockpile

I feel like this might be my weakest link. My selection for help against Electric types is really hindered by the Double Battle format. None of my Pokemon avoid Earthquake damage, and some are even weak to it, so I have to rely on Earth Power. Similarly, Other Ground/Water types take neutral damage to surf, which can really hurt in the long run. I don't know what I was thinking with Stockpile though. Defence isn't going to help against a Grass attack. It may need some changing.

Toxicroak@Life Orb
Adamant/Dry Skin
252 Attack/252 Speed/4 HP

- Focus Punch
- Poison Jab
- Sucker Punch
- Substitute

With an ability that turns both Rain and Surf into HP, Toxicroak fits right in, providing valuable additional type coverage. The Subpunch is a bit harder to pull off in Doubles, but I find I can still manage to pull it off.

Suicune@Leftovers
Bold/Pressure
252 Defence/4 Speed/252 HP

- Surf
- Ice Beam
- Calm Mind
- Tailwind

My Favourite Pokémon, the whole team is kind of built around him. If he can get an Acid Armor Substitute from Vaporeon, the Subtitute gives him time to fit in a few Calm Minds, making him really hard to take down. The only move that's up in the air is Tailwind. Everything tells me I probably shouldn't use it, but then every so often I'll have won a fight solely because of the speed advantage Tailwind gives me. It's equally likely to run out a turn too soon.

So I dunno. I like the idea of healing my Pokemon while I attack, but I certainly have problems dealing with a few types.
Other teammates have included a more offensive oriented Swift Swim Ludicolo, a Reflect Starmie to replace Vaporeon's Acid Armor and a Swampert.
